This reminded me of when I encountered a full odds shiny ho-oh in oras. I didnt know it had only 5 pp on each of its moves, and i got it to 1 hp with false swipe. You can probably guess what happened next.

You could've gotten a Exeggutor with Harvest, Skill Swap it so Arceus could have Harvest, then use Banette/Rotom to use Trick while holding a Leppa Berry so Arceus can always grow a new Leppa Berry. But the strategy you used was nice enough.

After watching this video, I decided to see if I could make a Pokemon to deal with a Struggling Pokemon, so I went onto Showdown and had a look at what Pokemon can learn Recycle, Heal Pulse, and Hypnosis. I found that The only 3-4 Pokemon that can Learn all 3 moves were Gothitelle, Gardevoir/Gallade, and Chimecho, I thought about what would happen if I didn't have any form of Healing or had run out of Potions, so I added Recover to the list of moves I wanted and only Chimecho could Learn all 4 of them, With Leppa Berry I made a Pokemon that can create an Infinite Battle allowing it to keep both itself and the opposing Pokemon Alive. Chimecho @ Leppa Berry Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Hypnosis / Yawn - Recycle - Recover - Heal Pulse Giving Chimecho a spread of 252 HP / 252 Def let it take the least amount of Damage from a Pokemon using Struggle, Chimecho can Learn the moves needed as follows Yawn and Heal Pulse by level, Recover and Hypnosis by Breeding with Shellos for Recover, and Gastly for Hypnosis, and Recycle by using TM67.

Based off of that, let’s assume 11.3% of every person who bought BDSP makes it to Arceus. 14.79M*0.113=1,671,270 players who encounter Arceus. Out of that, using averages, we can estimate roughly 408 players saw a shiny Arceus right off the bat. If every single player who purchased the game made it to Arceus, that would be (averaging) 3,611 players to see a shiny Arceus. These numbers change a LOT when you consider: More than 11.3% of players may make it to Arceus Players often save before legendaries to fight them again if the initial fight didn’t go well. The # of players encountering a shiny Arceus goes up when you factor in a reset or two. If every one of the 11.3% fights Arceus 3 times, that’s now 1,224 players who have encountered the shiny.
It's a bit more complicated than that. In order to get to Arceus, you must finish BDSP yes, but you also need a Pokemon Legends: Arceus save file on your Switch which has done EVERYTHING. All the missions, all the story, getting Arceus in THAT game which involves completing the PokeDex which is more involved than previous games, you must beat one game, and 100% a completely different game that happens to be one of the hardest in the franchise, just to get the chance to see any of this. And then add a 1/4096 odds shiny hunt on top of all of that.

At first I just thought this was just a normal shining hunting like the others, but I was wrong... hearing your narration in this video, the song selection, and your dedication makes me excited. and when you caught him I screamed and cheered involuntarily. After hearing your story, I can definitely relate on a spiritual level. Because I shiny hunted Arceus as well, the 1st shiny appeared after 8 Resets and while that sounds ridiculously lucky, all that luck inverted because Arceus used Struggle before I could catch it so the hunt continued. Fast forward a few weeks later, I hit 642 Resets and the Shiny Arceus appeared for Round 2. Originally, I was going to buff up my Gardevoir's Special Defense and Accuracy so she could survive Future Sight and Hyper Beam as well as put God to sleep. Unfortunately this didn't work so I fully relied on Lucario to fight Arceus and that's when I caught my Shiny Arceus and I will say this now: I've never felt so emotional over a shiny Pokémon until that day.

I've been a masochist in all my Pokemon games, I literally stock up on hundreds of normal pokeballs to catch legendaries with, I like looking at my grand display of legendaries with normal pokeballs Stock up on heals revives and pokeballs and keep them at max health to make sure they never risk death 😌
I remember as a kid playing Diamond and Pearl with all the hidden secrets they had but once I learned about Arceus I basically lost my life trying to force it to happen

Tip for anyone wanting to guarantee a different legendary catch: You can use an Exeggutor with Skill Swap to give the legendary (or something else) Harvest. Then, you can switch out into a Pokémon with trick, and a Leppa Berry, give it the leppa berry, and go back to Exeggutor. Exeggutor can stay in and constantly harvest it’s own Leppa Berry, and just spam Substitute and Synthethis until you get it up on decent HP. Paralyse the legendary with Stun Spore and you’re good to go. This unfortunately doesn’t work against Arceus specifically due to how multitype works, so your best bet is to Trick it as many Leppa Berries as possible.

I've been a masochist in all my Pokemon games, I literally stock up on hundreds of normal pokeballs to catch legendaries with, I like looking at my grand display of legendaries with normal pokeballs
Stock up on heals revives and pokeballs and keep them at max health to make sure they never risk death 😌
I just catch them in the pokeball I think matches them the most

Tip for anyone wanting to guarantee a different legendary catch:
You can use an Exeggutor with Skill Swap to give the legendary (or something else) Harvest. Then, you can switch out into a Pokémon with trick, and a Leppa Berry, give it the leppa berry, and go back to Exeggutor. Exeggutor can stay in and constantly harvest it’s own Leppa Berry, and just spam Substitute and Synthethis until you get it up on decent HP. Paralyse the legendary with Stun Spore and you’re good to go.
This unfortunately doesn’t work against Arceus specifically due to how multitype works, so your best bet is to Trick it as many Leppa Berries as possible.
My friend neo here has been doing arceus encounters for over 250 hours and 16000 resets and still hasn’t found it
