Best way to get the gunshot, sport mode, manual, then keep revs around 4000RPM then tap the accelerator slightly. Just keep tapping every time you release...gunshots. It’s a pleasure 😜
The only downside with the 340i in the UK is you can not buy one with the x-drive. So I went and brought a 335d X-Drive Shadow Edition and it looks exactly like an M3. Fantastic engine the 340i though, nearly as good if not as good as an M3. Economical as well, and lets be honest, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and certainly Jaguar really do not come close to a competitor to the 340i or 335d, do they?. They think they do, but they do not, plus MB, Audi in specific are among some of the most ugly vehicles I have ever seen. Hearse like MB and Audi are. Jaguars look great, but I think Queen Victoria rode in a Jaguar, judging how out of date their sat navs are as one example of Jaguar nearly being their, but still fails over it's German rivals. Nice motor you have, but unfortunately without x-drive on UK roads, probably a real handful in the wet?. BMW's are renowned for being unruly in the wet without 4 wheel drive. Shame, because I would have a 340i all day long, if it had x-drive. Example I owned a 330d before my 335d. It was not x-drive version the 330d and it could be a handful on a wet road, even if you were careful. By the way, the new Prof Media in my BMW 335d, is no way near as good as the previous version on my old 330d 65-Plate. They have really messed up with the new Prof Media. You wheel in a town and it refuses to give you just the town to input, so it gives you roads within the town and in some cases well outside the town. I do not know why BMW have messed their once excellent Prof Media up, but it is in a pickle now. It also reminds me of a Jaguar sat nav by taking you all over the place indirectly before realizing it is taking you around and around the long way. 5/10 for the Prof Media now, which is no longer the best in its class. That is my only complaint with my 67-Plate 335d, is the Prof Media now sucks.
Gotta love the reaction at 5:27, every mans reaction to that.

Oh that sound. Puts a huge smile on my face and I don't have the MPPSK. Great video.
Got love the 340i its stunning. Love mine
The Inline six sounds truely great. A V6 somehow doesnt have that deep raw sound like a inline six has.
Great vid Grant, very helpful.
very nice car mate
Great job mate
Lovely 👌🏽👌🏽
so gunshots come when you accelerate hard and let off the throttle at about 6000rpm?!
Anything over 5000rpm, yes.
