- Since the reveal of the reboot of Cardfight!! Vanguard, there's been a fair number of misconceptions floating around that I thought I'd clear up. On top of that, they announced some more news for the reboot, as well re-working a bunch of rulings!

front triggers are great but not overpowered in a sense. if you can tank the attack, Tank it. just pg any game ending strike. However if they Ultima, pray you got 3 pg's in hand otherwise it's a game wiping attack

Speaking of which, in your Gallop deck profile you posted recently, I posted a comment and someone replied to it, asking me for tips on their Daikaiser/Dainexus deck. It was 'n really interesting discussion and we postponed it until you added your input on it since you're of course the more experienced DP player. If you could maybe please find my comment and check the replies to it and share your input, that would be great. If you find the time in your busy schedule, I would really appreciate it and that player needing help with his Dimensional Robos deck will too

Five years ago in January I bought TD01, now I can't wait to buy VGE-V-TD01 (and all the other stuff...)!
I am looming forward to enjoy the game from its roots.
I'm in love with the new mechanics... I'm worried about the prospects of them shutting down Superior Ride channels as that's something that Robos do fairly well. It's a rumor but if they hold to it... I could be losing some of my favorite cards in Goyusha and Daiheart. For the most part, I'm excited over Standard... and Premium... and can't wait to see how the rebooted Dimension Police handle. A floodgate of Justice being renewed... sounds like a dream come true!

I'm really excited since this really makes getting new players easier.
I really appreciate the clarification, I saw many people who didn't know anything about the new stuff or misinform themselves. There are also quite a few players that kinda wanna quit, change is horrifying after all.
Yeah I'm trying to soften the damage as much as possible :( I wanna continue enjoying Vanguard with everyone, so I hope that people reconsider quitting

I must say a reason that I like Vanguard is that the text reminds me of programming style text, I hope they don't lose that in the long run, for now it still looks they will keep the format. XD

Tjugeboda98 premium meta in the future: aqua force gets accel, strides over lambrose, attacks with lambrose, stand and give 2 rg 10k power, checks front trigger for another 10k power to all front row....
This was a nice video and with the 3DS Cardfight Vanguard games i only wish they would be released outside of Japan :/

I hope they do bring in some characters who didn't show up in the manga. There are quite a few from the OG anime I like who didn't appear there. Plus, it could diversify the anime cast more than if they stick more strictly to adapting the manga.

new rulings on striding makes Goyusha amazing again given that turn 2 superior to 3 when opponent is at Grade1 ^^

D-Police has actually an even better card(s) for this. After all those years do Kaizard and Kaisergrader finally become amazing again!
When this combo gets pulled of you actually get a guaranteed first stride on turn 3 while beeing on the BR Daikaiser AND you won't have to soulcharge as many cards as you would have to with daihawk.

I'm really excited for it! It's a great way to grow the game's playerbase, because it'll be less complex and much cheaper as well. Overall, I welcome it.
well... it would be unfair if nova grappler got a lot of Accel markers, because they had a lot of cards that could stand all rear gaurds

Thank the heavens! Daikaiser really is the Dimension-Polices strongest champion. No matter what new defensive-mechanic appears, he is going to break it. For Justice of course.
This also let me think: Is Bushiroad going to give Guard-Break to DP again in the reboot-era? Because, lets be real: Only having a high-powered center-column with a big crit won't mean a thing with the raised shields and Protect-cards running wild. They more or less are going to need DaiKaisers equalizer to stand a chance unless D-Police gets another workaroung for this problem.
Also: Even with OTT getting Tom back I highly doubt that we are going to get Laurel back as well during the reboot era. He's propably going to be the only original clan leader who won't make a comeback unless he gets changed completly.
EnerKaizer I feel like they shouldn't bring by guard break because it's kinda riduculous, but I believe any clan that focuses heavily on centered column like dimension police and irregulars should be allowed to have guard restrict

Hi, may I ask if, for example, in a premium deck, I ride Dragonic Overlord and use Force, and during the next turn, I ride Dragonic Overlord "The Legend", can "The Legend" still get the +10,000 Force, which is obtained from the previous turn? I don't think you have explained that in your video... Thanks :)
2 Questions about Front Triggers
1. When a Front Trigger is Drive Checked, does it give 10k to a single front row unit or all front row units similar to how Damage Check does?
2. If a unit in the front row that gained the 10k from it gets moved to the backrow, does it retain the 10k until end of turn or does it fizzle because it was removed from the front row?

2. Pretty sure it would fizzle, since it's an AoE buff like Gavrail's GB2.
Where did you get all the new card images(like the promo ones) and in general all of those japanese information screenshots?I would like to look into them a bit more if you could provide some links!
Left them in the description! The rest are mostly found from the official Vanguard live streams found on the official Japanese Vanguard UA-cam channel.
Great video for the new format. However, you listed a lot of info verbally, could you perhaps put bullet points on screen to help us keep track of what you went over?
GC does already get support this year "GBT-14" So it will be next year I hope. Because right now GC is so powerful, they have superior call RG, Multiple attacks, put into bottom deck, Drawing extra card, Free Stride, Restanding VG, Gaining additional turn, +Power, Huge Shield power. I have the Deck
9:47 OMG, since i'm supper stubborn with Thing Saver, I reaaaaly want to try triple Thing Saver swing with this rule LOL
I would like to point out that Seabreeze is not useless with the edit to the stride rules. If your opponent has skipped riding (at grade 2 of cause) in an attempt to stop you striding first because you were going second, you can still use Seabreeze. A lot of people I have talked to have said that Seabreeze is now completely useless, so I want to spread this further.
Yup, there's still a good use to Sebreeze for sure!
I'm just starting to get into this game and well i kind of my misgiving about it just because i started getting cards before i even heard about this and that the clans i liked the most neo nectar,bermuda triangle and genesis aren't going to be out for ages likely and meaning if thye shop that ill be going to holds a standard event i'll be left in the awkward place of not having a clan i would prefer to use so wish they had something for each clan off the bat.
For people who are not clear with the new stride rules
-You can now stride if your opponent tries to grade stuck you, regardless if they are grade 2 or 1. the only condition you need to meet to stride if your opponent has stayed at their current grade is that you must have been at grade 3 for at least a single turn. So i am going to guess that as long as you were at grade 3 before, you can still ride another grade 3 and then stride because you were at grade 3 and as long as you were at grade 3 the previous turn you still can stride at that instance.
question here. if your at grade 3 already and your opponents at grade 1 then he/she rides a grade 2 can u stride with that? cuz you did mention that your opponent has to be in the same grade condition for u to stride while they are grade stuck.
ChrisXCrozz you can still stride most likely. Its as long as you are grade 3 so even if your opponent rides into grade 2, stride is still active
Finally, I can use the og royals again. Blaster Blade, Marron, Grime, Alfred, Wingal, Elaine, Epona, and Gancelot.

I have to correct you on one thing Kris (I just heard that so I haven't watched it all yet), VR is technically not GR and stuff. Vanguard Rare is actually guaranteed to be 1 per case, I guess that's why the ratio of the "gen rarity" has been upped to 4.
I've been told you get either a VR or SVR in every box actually!
Also, I confirmed the rarity information with Bushiroad before making the video, which is why I had to wait an extra day before uploading.
VRs are one per box though which is better than GRs
important to note considering they'll probably be the Grade 3s bosses that everyone needs

It's still "you can choose", just worded differently to save space.

I'm not sure if you can not activate Abarail's skill because the red text doesn't have the "you may pay the cost" clause. Where the Overlord units do on their 1/Turn red text.

Really appreciate the clarifications but I've got one question, since we're allowed to guard w/ anything regardless of our VG's grade, how will this affect guard restricts with things like Dust, Dragstrider and Balaam? Super hyped for the reboot by the way. I can finally get my friends into the game :))))
The guard restriction will still take place for things like Balaam, but for Dust you can guard with anything since it doesn't guard restrict, it simply puts you to Grade 1.

This video helped me understand a lot of the new ruling, yet I still cannot wrap my head around the new 1/turn ruling. People keep mentioning "standby", which is news to me.
Yeah it's basically that the skill goes on standby, and in standby you have two choices - to use the skill, or to not use the skill. If you use the skill, then the 1/Turn is used up and you can't use it again that turn. If you don't, then you can still use it again if the opportunity comes by.
I'm looking forward to the reboot just to see how it'll differ from the original and maybe fix season 2 which is (in my opinion) the weakest season of the original series but still better then most of G
oh my that stride rule change is kind of big. Kills off grade 2 decks by making every stride a sebreeze (rip sebreeze btw) and buffs superior riding strategies since that means they can stride even sooner.
Not that this matters to me since I am planning to stick to standard but this could have some interesting results in premium format.

I hope they bring stride back. I just started, like waiting for cards to come in the mail to finish my first deck. I dont like the idea that they are reprinting all the cards with new effects and powers cause that means the older cards are naturally worst. And what does that mean at turnaments? If a player has an older copy of the card do they treat it like the new reprint? I feel like the reprinting will muddy the card base and make it confusing for players and new players, especially when they are at a card store and wanna look through older card sets.

From my discussions with judges, some are still optional. They just reworded it in a way to save space, but it's confusing to me as well :(
I heard all clans get only once a year support, is that true? So like royal paladin gets support in the first booster and no further support for like a year.
Something along those lines is planned. I think all clans will receive a similar level of support, so that there's no power creep and just more viable choices added to the meta.

Yes, because you are both on Grade 3, which is one of the conditions for stride.
Can we still use stride?
Does this mean that the new Alfred Early (and other future cards) are a must pay and use skill? So even if there isn’t a Blaster Blade in my Soul when I Ride Alfred Early I must Counter Blaster 1?
