If there is one thing I love about this channel, that just like differentfight, I come out of vids more knowledgeable and mind blown from the perspectives taken!
I actually like the new standard format. It is a reboot, the triggers are balanced by 13 vanguard and 10k intercepts and it wont get as boring as the original because of imaginary gifts and i am relatively a new player nice.
After thinking about it, the only thing that's really pissing me off about the new rules and mechanics is the triggers. I heavily use stand triggers and the + 10,000 power just makes it so much more power creep...
Hi new comer here. Question, does 1/per turn mean that particular unit can only use the skill 1/ per turn OR does it mean that if i have 2 of the same unit, only one of the unit can activate its skill?
Gotta say I'm a big fan of all these changes it eases up on the penalty for G assist which I always thought was too harsh to begin with simply because you were unlucky to open with a certain grade the mulligan rule I'm a fan of because I play FoW and that mulligan style just works and the Stride rule change is great because it will discourage G2 and G1 rush decks and even if you run into the grade stall game you no longer have to sit there and wait on your opponent you can just go in as long as you do your thing these are very welcome change imo.
The change to the Stride rule should've beend one as soon as grade 2 stalling became a thing, by the time they actually did it was too little too late.
Thank god I was fed up of my friends grade stalling and now going first isn’t a death sentence if ur playing a stride based deck and ur opponent is too
They apparently seem good rules to me; however, I do not think the mulligan one will be as good as it seems, and for a simple reason: if I mulligan some cards is because I would like to get rid of cards I do not need in the very first turn, or in the following three. Now, or I have not the possibility to make a correct scale into my vanguard (so for example if i miss the grade 2, or 1, ecc), or either way - the most frequent for me - the only other cards I would mulligan are triggers, cause anyone wants to see them in starting hand. Now, putting them on the bottom instead of shuffling them back into the deck basically means I have high possibilities, in case of bad starting hand, to not see in game that 16/50 probability to get triggers up until I re-shuffle my deck at the first chance :( (sorry for language mistakes, if any)
WADERTYUIOP123 You still shuffle in the mulligan. I read that the new rule on it is you put the cards on the bottom of the deck, draw the same number of cards as you put back, and then shuffle your deck.
So you can now stride after starting your turn on Grade 3 no matter your opponent's Vanguard's Grade. In that case, if you superior ride to grade 3 whilst your opponent is still on a grade 1 by using e.g. Blazing Flare Dragon, next turn you can choose to stride first no matter who goes first (As long as your opponent doesn't superior ride before you). Solemn Vanguard, do you think superior riding will make a comeback?
geez, please dont let the changes for stride rules be like that, cuz im not planning to do g assist at all, it wastes your hand cards, so if that rule change really happens, then its gonna kill me in a cardfight whether its irl or online, like im gonna lose every single time from being gradelocked
So for example if i use magnum assualt to attack vanguard can i not activate his skill and attack with my vanguard then stand him use him to attack vanguard and use his restand skill there?
As a riviere player.... The new stride rule is busted as hell. your telling me with 2 counter blasts and the right starting hand going first i can stride twice before my opponent hits grade 3.
No, with 1CB you stride 3 times before opponent can stride... 1CB to stride Riviere with Trois on G1 and then you can stride anything you want normally on G2 and G3 and opponent still hasnt striden. Its just retarded! Edit: You can still stride if both are on G3 so yeah ONLY 2 strides ahead...
Yes and you do that on 2nd turn...Have you played the new Riviere at all? 1st turn you are at G2 while opponent is G0 and then you ride G3 and use Trois skill to stride.
i kinda wanted to avoid the new support due to certain restrictions but now i can see a 3 card combo with 1 counterblast to pull these shenanigans. And if Riviere gets a reboot Oh my god that's going to be game breaking in premium
Riviere is already destroying all GB decks, with the new ruiling your 2nd stride gets to be whatever you want as well so for 2CB you could be going all out Riviere stride on G1 and then unflip those 2 with Kura and go Lauris/Ange(maybe use the new crit to get an extra crit as well)... People are saying they can counter it by just attacking unboosted and not giving CB but you'll need to give dmg to win and the deck can start running with just 1CB especially if run Kura.
Does anybody get the new striding mechanic while your opponents stuck at grade 2 and your at grade 3 and you can stride. im confused about if your opponents at grade 1 while your at grade 3 and he/she rides grade 2. can you stride on the start of your turn or do you have to wait at the next turn for u to stride if they still grade stuck.
Try to find out how the new mechanic is going to be dreaded for ex: Royals = Balance but what about Dark Irregulars sins they can be offensive / Defensive or D. P. Can be balance or offensive how is this going to be Address? Could u find out please. Thanks in Advance
what about the rules change that says: "When making a normal call to the rear guard circle, the grade of the normal calling card must be lower than the grade of own Vanguard" is it officially changes or not?
Would the new ruling also effect, Thavas with his wave ability? Because before if you attack with him on first wave you could not use his ability on wave 4
Solemn Vanguard If I had to guess, probably after the TD's ate released. Again, with how good these new rules are, might as well implement them now, at least amongst friends.
you can in Premium format but there you will play against decks that also use the new support, so if you only stay with the stuff you already got you probably will have a hard time.
No, they can still only be activated once per turn. The change is now they don't need to be activated once the conditions are met the first time. An example of this would be Aqua Force where some abilities might be 1/Turn: When this card attacks, do this. Before, you had to use the ability on the first attack. Now - you can use the ability whenever the conditions are met but only once per turn.
Savage XG so tidal assault skill is 1/turn :when this unit attacks a vanguard,if you have a aqua force vanguard, stand this unit and it get -5000 so for now when we attack the vanguard with it the first time we MUST stand it or else we will not be able to use the skill any more . But the new rule is that 1/turn no longer need to be triggered the first time so example if you attack a vanguard with tidal assult ,you can choose to not use the skill and afterwards when it stands due to any effect and you choose to attack the vanguard again, you can stand it up using the 1/turn skill. (that means better advantage of the x gallop/laurel combo😏)
Savage XG simply said , old rule(now) is that when you hit the 1/turn requirement you MUST use it first time that you hit the requirement or else you lose the chance but new rule you can.choose to use it later
not necessarily, with the new rule you would have to ride up giving your opponent the chance to first stride, while with sebreeze you can stay on grade 2 and if your opponent doesnt reride a grade 2 you can sebreeze them.
Gotta make sure it's clear: This stride ruling change does NOT change Sebreze's effectiveness.
I'm a simple guy. I see solemn vanguard. I click
Ryan GR don’t we all, he’s our savour
Haha, you're awesome
You just copied that from a guy who commented on Diablo 1!!
I’ve never seen a more true comment
If there is one thing I love about this channel, that just like differentfight, I come out of vids more knowledgeable and mind blown from the perspectives taken!
Huh! It's really great that Bushi's starting to fix a bit of the mechanics like the mulligan
Man, I love this channel. It's so nice being updated on this stuff all the time. Keep it up
What I love about this 1/Turn rulling change is that both Nightroses benefit from this a lot.
Dude, if you keep up with this quality of content, you will very soon be the biggest Vanguard channel out there...
Satoshi Nanashi He's already!
*And here lies sebreeze*
-it was a proud member in G era and now he will be sorely missed-😭
I actually like the new standard format. It is a reboot, the triggers are balanced by 13 vanguard and 10k intercepts and it wont get as boring as the original because of imaginary gifts and i am relatively a new player nice.
I also wanted to add that the imaginary gifts are spamable since they don't say anything about leaving the field.
This is going to be crazy! I might try to get some cards and collect/play when these new cards and rules go into effect
I like when u do a lot of videos, keeps me occupied when I’m bored ;)
So now you can guard Deletors, Dust and Still Vampir, with anything. Good for em.
I feel bad for Witch Queen Sinclair
oh dang i play that deck but you cant g -assit
I absolutely love the Mulligan change, very nice shit.
This is crazy stuff! The rulings now kinda flip my head off.
After thinking about it, the only thing that's really pissing me off about the new rules and mechanics is the triggers. I heavily use stand triggers and the + 10,000 power just makes it so much more power creep...
true but also a big defensive creep ;) don't forget heals now have 20k shield, crits 15k and G1s have 10k shield
Some or most of community don't even bother to know about the new rules.
Dayum think I might get that Minerva playmat tbh
2:01
*laughs in 7Cs when guarding with slash shade*
These are some good rule changes
Hi new comer here. Question, does 1/per turn mean that particular unit can only use the skill 1/ per turn OR does it mean that if i have 2 of the same unit, only one of the unit can activate its skill?
Seven seas G1 rush GOOD LUCK ON GUARDING MINERVA XD

3 videos in 1 day holy nutty
So the break ride overlord can pick and choose now!? Nice
Gonna create something crazy for sure
I love the Mulligan rule that's an awesome change
i feel my friend that play tsukoyomi will be happy about this, indirect buff cuss faster deck cycle
Fido Hula dang
If we can guard with any grade dust is useless
BB Airbreeze
VICTOR HAS BECOME BROKEN!!!! 😲
RIP Sebreeze.
Awesome and bro solem there’s a video game also coming out it’s call cardfight zero I think
Thank god I was fed up of my friends grade stalling and now going first isn’t a death sentence if ur playing a stride based deck and ur opponent is too
Bushi would care as u made 2 great vids in a day haha
What if your opponent started the game and didn't ride so they can stride 1st can you still stride if your opponent does this with the new rules
They apparently seem good rules to me; however, I do not think the mulligan one will be as good as it seems, and for a simple reason: if I mulligan some cards is because I would like to get rid of cards I do not need in the very first turn, or in the following three. actually, that would make sense. Thnx!!:)

Solemn Vanguard, do you think superior riding will make a comeback?
I laugh so hard at 1:00
I think it is okay tbh.
i just got into vanguard a month ago now new mechanics are coming
Is there a video game of Vanguard anywhere in English? I know there was a 3ds game in Japaneses only.
geez, please dont let the changes for stride rules be like that, cuz im not planning to do g assist at all, it wastes your hand cards, so if that rule change really happens, then its gonna kill me in a cardfight whether its irl or online, like im gonna lose every single time from being gradelocked

2:00 Stil Vampir got nerfed
When does the new rules take effect
1st May in Japan, i think English version will be in the same day.
FutureStark June 8th for English the first trial decks come out
Cool video mang!!!! Still waiting on that male gender luard playmat!!!!
Ive been playing the 1/turn rule the current way lol, but i always did it the first time it is triggered
So.. Nova's just got more busted in regards to certain skills. This rule change really lets me flex my attack and restand combinations.
THANK GOD!
Ugh premium is the way to go no lie. It adds so much to the game as an hole.
About to see the price of seabreeze tank
thanks for the info
On this day... Solemn is busy af xD
lol maybe
Bottom? wasn't at the top? :O
And regarding the 1/turn rule, now Bravest Peak X Gallop just became even MORE dangerous for a plus 8 or even 11 :P
As a riviere player.... The new stride rule is busted as hell. your telling me with 2 counter blasts and the right starting hand going first i can stride twice before my opponent hits grade 3.
No, with 1CB you stride 3 times before opponent can stride...

Edit: You can still stride if both are on G3 so yeah ONLY 2 strides ahead...
.-. you know you have to ride a grade 3 on top of a grade 3 with the trois skill to get a stride right?
Yes and you do that on 2nd turn...Have you played the new Riviere at all?
1st turn you are at G2 while opponent is G0 and then you ride G3 and use Trois skill to stride.
i kinda wanted to avoid the new support due to certain restrictions but now i can see a 3 card combo with 1 counterblast to pull these shenanigans. And if Riviere gets a reboot Oh my god that's going to be game breaking in premium

Aniwine can Telme if we can use the old cards plese
man you quick
Does anybody get the new striding mechanic while your opponents stuck at grade 2 and your at grade 3 and you can stride. im confused about if your opponents at grade 1 while your at grade 3 and he/she rides grade 2. can you stride on the start of your turn or do you have to wait at the next turn for u to stride if they still grade stuck.
ChrisXCrozz In ether case if they have grade 1 or 2 you may stride on the turn you start with a grade 3, this is without riding.
Hmmm when is the new rule going to be enforced...?
Stephen Kong Its already been enforced from more than 2 months ago.
I really dont understand the new once per turn rule. Im relatively new to the game.
@Solemn vanguard when does this new rule start to be used?
Try to find out how the new mechanic is going to be dreaded for ex: Royals = Balance but what about Dark Irregulars sins they can be offensive / Defensive or D. P. Can be balance or offensive how is this going to be Address? Could u find out please. Thanks in Advance
Does this mean DOTL and Dragonic Overlord the Breakride can combo now?
whoop we get Paris Mulligan
I'm a simple guy. Just like
Lol what if you have tsukoyumi and mulligan. *Puts triggers at the bottom of the deck
when do these rule changes start getting used??
Are the new stride rules also apllied in current g format?
So when do the rules changes go into effect
stride rule ,i think still need change a bit
Are stand triggers still legal?
only in G Format and Premium, in standard they aren't at least as long as their aren't some new ones printed
The new rule books for standard make no mention of stand triggers so they may not exist
Rip dust :(
When does this take in effect??
Wait, can we still use stand trigger for Premium or it's removed all together?
what about the rules change that says:
"When making a normal call to the rear guard circle, the grade of the normal calling card must be lower than the grade of own Vanguard"
is it officially changes or not?
no as far as I now you only can guard with cards higher graded than your vanguard so on G1 you can guard with a G2 unit but not call the G2 unit to RG
they totally just got rid of Sebreeze with this ruling
How about G-guard?
We can call G-guardian even tho opp's vg is still at grade 2?
So when do these rules take effect?
This affects thavas a lot
Would the new ruling also effect, Thavas with his wave ability?
Because before if you attack with him on first wave you could not use his ability on wave 4
i think the wave 4 makes it more restrictive even with that ruling
Tidal assault can still smack face without getting his skill triggered for his first battle, pls dont get banned
When do these rules come into effect? They seem to be only good for the health of the game.
May for JP, Idk when for ENG
Solemn Vanguard If I had to guess, probably after the TD's ate released. Again, with how good these new rules are, might as well implement them now, at least amongst friends.
When does this rule will be applied officially?
May 1st in Japan, but i think English version will be in the same day.
Does that means seabreeze is dead???
Rip Tidal and Adelaide?
Huuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh im soooooo confuuuused
Hahahahaha 😂😂😂
New rules on guarding
suck it stil vampir and dust 😂😂😂
So Can we still play our old decks in the future tournamnet???(if it's a no then i guess i'll quit)
you can in Premium format but there you will play against decks that also use the new support, so if you only stay with the stuff you already got you probably will have a hard time.
Yes, you can
So 1/Turn effects can be activated two times
No, they can still only be activated once per turn. The change is now they don't need to be activated once the conditions are met the first time. An example of this would be Aqua Force where some abilities might be 1/Turn: When this card attacks, do this. Before, you had to use the ability on the first attack. Now - you can use the ability whenever the conditions are met but only once per turn.
Matthew Woolf so you can use it whenever you want or.... if your gonna explain again simple please
Savage XG so tidal assault skill is 1/turn :when this unit attacks a vanguard,if you have a aqua force vanguard, stand this unit and it get -5000 so for now when we attack the vanguard with it the first time we MUST stand it or else we will not be able to use the skill any more . (that means better advantage of the x gallop/laurel combo😏)
David tan Oh So you cannot not have it Stand then when you stand that card you can activate it
Savage XG simply said , old rule(now) is that when you hit the 1/turn requirement you MUST use it first time that you hit the requirement or else you lose the chance but new rule you can.choose to use it later
So dust is gonna be a lousy ZR am I right?
ComboX Century it got worse. But it still ping, reduce power to 1, stop intercept and g guard.
It is still op
Do we still shuffle for Mulligan tho?
Narukami Main after you send your cards to the bottom and draw your new hand you shuffle.
You shuffle after you finish the Mulligan.
Im so confused
I hate my life i wasted so much money and now i wanna play standard
PlainTurtle
Why would you want to play standard over premium ?
So does Seabreeze have a purpose now?
More like Sebreeze has zero purpose now. The new rule change pretty much IS Sebreeze, meaning you don't even need to run him anymore.
Wait does that mean Sebreeze is useless!? O.O
not necessarily, with the new rule you would have to ride up giving your opponent the chance to first stride, while with sebreeze you can stay on grade 2 and if your opponent doesnt reride a grade 2 you can sebreeze them.
O.O
First... second..... T U R D....... Ciao :3
well i think sebreze is looks like useless now
SQUAD
First!!!!!
Congrats! ;D
Solemn Vanguard thanks man thanks for keeping us up to date!!
Woah 6th comment
nevermind, actually 7th
