    Using an actual Citation CJ4 Flight Training Manual and as a professional pilot with real-world experience using the same FMS and avionics in the CJ4, this walk-through video is extremely thorough and even covers every screen of the Pro-Line 21 avionics in the Working Title Citation CJ4 in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
    A walk through and explanation of every button and switch inside the Cessna Citation CJ4 along with an explanation of the Collins Pro Line 21 avionics (for use in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020). This in-depth tutorial covers aircraft general, FADEC, electrical, avionics, MFD and PFD settings, lighting, gear and flaps, CAS system, engine start, and operational tips. The CJ4 with the Working Title Mod is used in this video. I also give real world operational tips for various phases of flight including setting power for cruise and power settings for certain airspeeds. There are a few cool tricks throughout the video as well.

      Thank you. The engine start procedure can be done differently than in the video. Recently, a video on my channel was published showing how to start the engines in the CJ4 which is the way CJ4s are started in the real-world - ua-cam.com/video/kqOhwfQVYqk/v-deo.html The rest of the information remains the same. Glad you enjoyed it. If you are interested in the Longitude at all, there is a 4-part (and maybe more parts in the future) series on how to fly the airplane from engine start to landing and even flying a missed approach. The CJ4 is great but the Longitude is phenomenal in MSFS.

    Nice video. The 260kts at 8,000' is a good one. I wound up looking that up as well before and the answer lies in 25.571(e)
    (1) Impact with a 4-pound bird when the velocity of the airplane relative to the bird along the airplane's flight path is equal to Vc at sea level or 0.85Vc at 8,000 feet, whichever is more critical;
    305kts x .85 = 260 kts for the CJ4.

    I may have some questions once I get back up in the plane later this week in the CJ4.

      @thecorporatepilotdad  3 роки тому

      The chart button does not work but that is ok because not everyone uses it in real life even. One of the airplanes I fly has that button and we don't use it. It costs money to get the charts on the MFD (for the subscription) when most people use Ipads with the exact same info. But I get what you are saying. The video is in depth for what FS2020 is in its current state. I wish all the buttons worked because if they did, I would show what they all do. Even some of the buttons that work don't do anything such as the wing/engine anti-ice button.

    Question: In the legs page of the FMS, it shows the waypoints, distance to/between set waypoint, and then 2 numbers separated by a /. The first one being altitude, but I can’t figure out what the first one means. Airspeed?

    • @thecorporatepilotdad
      @thecorporatepilotdad  3 роки тому +1

      Yes to airspeed. Without auto throttle it doesn’t do a lot other than serve as a reminder. In the MFD MENU or MFD DISPLAY (can’t remember which) in the real airplane we can select speed, altitude, and missed approach and it will display each of the selected items on the MFD.
      It also shows degrees in the area of speed/altitude on the FMS which is the descent angle the VNAV is using to calculate TOD from the next restriction. That angle can be changed in the real FMS 3000 but I don’t think the WTM allows the angle to be changed yet.

      Yes. I wrote it on my list. I might be able to throw that in a video along the way. Here is a step climb - simplified. Maintain a lower cruise altitude until you reach the TAS you want for cruise plus a few knots, then climb 2000 feet. Instead of going to 38,000 feet with a heavy airplane and having a slow TAS, go to 34,000 at the desired TAS and burn off fuel then climb to 36,000 and repeat then go to 38,000. All of the liveries offered in the application guide as “ready” for the mod are unfortunately no longer compatible under the latest MSFS2020 required update. Is there a path forward for others to enjoy this elegant MOD which is so perfectly outlined in this video.

I believe the white tick marks are always displayed in this mod whether traffic is on or off.
