- In this video we fly the Citation CJ4 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 using the Working Title Mod to demonstrate the aircraft capabilities by flying an RNAV approach, Missed Approach and Holds. This is why I think it makes the Working Title CJ4 the best aircraft to use in the sim for reliable FMC RNAV and VNAV flying.

Best aircraft available today in MSFS. The 320FBW us great too but it lacks one thing you mentioned....the ability of the CJ4 to fly into nearly every airport. SO TRUE! That's the best way to experience the best of MSFS. Take off and land often and in lots of places for me is the fun of flight sim. Great overview here. Thank you for the go-around as it's not studied enough and I learned something new. Thanks and great video!

This probably obvious, but I can't see how you knew it was about 30 minutes to STRAP, when setting up HOLD.

Hi. The 30-minute reference wasn't the time to strap, it was an EFC time which is Expect Further Clearance time issued by ATC. That time is just a reference time issued by ATC in case you lost ATC comms during the hold then when you hit that time, they would expect you to transition to the approach.

Excellent video. Because of its vnav and hold functionality I think the CJ4 has just moved ahead of the TBM in my fs 2020 hanger. Not sure why vnav is so elusive in msfs 2020. X-Plane has many many planes that are vnav capable. Thanks again for the great video.
Thanks. I agree, the CJ4 by Working Title is the most functional aircraft in the sim. Although more capability is coming to the G1000 NXi and G3000 mods by working Title which now include VNAV. Also the custom flight plan manager in the FlyByWire A320 in making vast improvements to the FMC and VNAV should be available soon. Happy Landings!

Great video, thanks. For some reason I cant get the charts to show on the MDF even following your steps. The charts window does open but none of the charts are populated even though I have Navigraph subscription and I can view all charts I need in the Navigraph desktop app and also if I open Navigraph window from the in-sim toolbar. Maybe something needs to be done prior to starting msfs or loading the aircraft? Any help appreciated.
Thanks. I think it will only show a chart once you have selected and entered the procedure in the FMC. Working Title has a manual for the CJ4 and they go over the Navigraph setup there. Link below. Cheers!

Hi. At 21:50 you used the joystick to move the chart. But I keep reading that this feature is only available in Lock mode in the Cockpit Interaction Settings, not Legacy. It looks like you are in Legacy, though. How did you get that feature to work?
I may have made this video before before they added Lock mode. It originally worked in legacy mode prior to that.
I have the Working Title /CJ4 version 12.7. I am told that that is the latest version from Internet conversations. Yet my CJ4 cannot emulate your CJ4 in the KMIA-KEYW tutorial that you instruct. The Go Around button is inop. When pressed, a dialog box does not appear; it's just that nothing happens. The Index button does not function. It operates the same as the Go Around button. Push the Index button and there is no response. So the pilot can forget the HOLD graphics. You can press the Chart button until you're blue in the face and nothing happens. Top of Descent indications? None that I saw. So I am wondering what is up? Why does the CJ4 in the tutorial have all these features and the CJ4 I have does not? I have downloaded the 12.7 version to my Community folder. I erased all previous versions of CJ4 before installing the 12.7 version. What works? The autopilot works. The heading mode works. NAV works. Pilots Flight Director works. Altitude hold works most of the time but sometimes it will try to kill you. I am flying a high-powered Dell computer. I use Thrustmaster Warthog throttles and stick. No rudder yet so when I land and the CJ4 head for the grass I just press the Escape button on the keyboard. I would appreciate any suggestions if you have the time. I am new at sim flying. Great fun it is. I am a retired Air Force and Continental Airlines pilot with thirty years under my belt.
Hi, sorry you're having problems with the CJ4. I noy sure which version I was using in this video, probably 12.0 but I just did a flight recently in version 12.7 and everything worked fine except the PAN button for panning the charts. For TOGA I have a button on my throttle mapped to AUTOPILOT=AUTO THROTTLE TO GA and for the charts you need to have a Navigraph Account and you need to link it under INDEX page 2 MOD SET. As for the INDEX button not working, that seems strange. The CJ4 guide on the WT website has a lot of good info:
