Daniels: Not on my watch, I’ll deal with them! Me: I’m joining you! Daniels: No you’re not, you’ll stay down. You’re not fit for taking our Hill! Me; Fine, you take it and everyone will be sorry for not waiting! Turner: you two quit screwing about! Do you know we’re in a freaking war yet?!
I love it but I lost everything on my Xbox and cut myself in frustration. Daniels normally hates seeing me upset and that’s my Hill 493 on veteran effort gone! I’m so devastated
Have you even played Vanguard? The weapons in VG feel very punchy and unique from eac other. The models and animations are top of the industry. Using different caliber actually feels like you're shooting different bullets. Attention to detail and gun feel are actually insane in Vanguard
I already knew some of them might not make it and I’m relieved they let my characters not die for once. My sister almost spoiled the whole game for me but i told her not to because i planned playing it one year after her.
It's like the level designers, graphic artists, story tellers and sound engineers create a wonderful meal and the guy who does the character animations shits all over it.
lmao its funny how the thompson actually has the correct aperture sight with a smaller diameter like real life, then they choose to not even use it and just use a little notch on top to aim XD
As gorgeous as this game is, the level design is painfully linear. Most COD campaigns are, but this is one of the most egregious examples. World At War, and COD2 are still the peak WW2 CODs for level design. Point Du Hoc in COD2 where you fight up the beach, then get counter attacked backwards was so tense with room to maneuver. This game is sadly held back by its hand holding encounters. Every path is so narrow you can literally see the entire playable area in the default FOV.
This mission will help me during my covid recovery and it will make sure I survive. I’ve felt so awful but thinking about Daniels makes me better every minute. Hill 493 on veteran is like good luck for me
Yep, the supersoldier trope to the max. On the other hand, this is a game, if you made the NPCs too good you would create a walking simulator with guns, just let your virtual teammates do the job. I remember Dungeon Siege in that matter, they made your party members too clever and all you needed to do was walking to where the action was and your folks did the rest, no clue if that was better.
I did this on veteran last year and it was hell! The weeks following after Hill 493 were filled with nightmares of Daniels losing it after me dying for him. The week after I died, Daniels returned to Hill 493 and secured the entire Hill himself. Daniels and Turner eventually find out how I really died, The Rhine mission was nuts when Daniels finally got the justice he deserved all along by taking his entire team down. Only he and Turner lived the war
The graphics are quite decent, but I hate these kind of games where you're killing all the enemies on your own while your buddies shoot at nothing. It's hard to get immersed.
Only me and Turner we’re doing it, I loved how Turner tells the others to get the hell out there and help me. I actually cried when Turner died because he always saved me as I was about to die. I didn’t finish the game because I was too emotional to
The only reason i dont buy cod games any more is because very few had potential and turned out to be great both gameplay and stories.. but the lifespan of the games is roughly 1-1,5 years until the next game .. CoD World at War 2017 was one of those great CoD games.. Sledge hammer studios did really great to make a fun and immersive experience with it which lasted only a year and then people moved on .. its so disappointing that Activation every year milks its fun base no matter if the game is good or bad they will take your money ..CoD WaW was the last ever i bought in the past 10 years..was it worth it? No because they dont let the game live a bit .. add content maps, weapons, i know what im asking here but its sad af to make a good game and kill it so soon .. F this corporate companies
I almost got Hill 493 first try on veteran yesterday but freaking died. I was really annoyed but kept going until I got it. I spent 4 hours on this hell because the others did f all as Turner saves my freaking life a lot. It felt like the others didn’t care about me as I was in hell
My computer wasn’t powerful enough for Toy Story 3.EXE but one day I noticed that Woody.EXE took over it that’s why Edit: Woody.EXE is still with me 2 years later
@nicolelawless9942 everyone just thinks it’s set to easy but it wasn’t that hard of a game, even on veteran. It’s the only game I have 100% complete on steam
@@JK90 One year on from the day I completed Hill 493 on veteran, the anxiety I endured during it was worth it. I had to immediately cover my eyes when Turner died because he always had my back in the game. Zussman and the others didn’t give a shit
@@JK90 Lucky, I’ve completed this mission so many times but on veteran; it taken me 5 hours, I did Hill 493 in 10 minutes last month and everyone was like “How?!”, it was the excitement
They need to do a full pacific campaign like this. Guadalcanal, peleliu, Iwo Jima, okinawa etc would be unreal
I agree, but i appreciate if you include the Philippines, the most famous were battle of Leyte Gulf and Battle of Manila.
Play World At War, 1st Marine Division was the best
Some would be more like a horror movie
Check out world at war, I do have a playlist on my channel but that does have some of these locations in.
Even better, They should remaster WaW with these graphics.

Pierson: Tank still active!
Turner: Enemy reinforcements!
Pierson: Find cover!

"No sacrifice is too great."
The campaign is honestly a masterpiece
Most underrated cod campaign
Lmao
I wouldn’t go that far
masterpiece is a stretch
Okay masterpiece is pushing it. But still a pretty solid campaign
A lot of people didn’t like this call of duty, this was one of my personal favorite of them all.
I love it but I lost everything on my Xbox and cut myself in frustration. Daniels normally hates seeing me upset and that’s my Hill 493 on veteran effort gone! I’m so devastated
I need a remake Call of Duty 1 like this
you can feel the difference in the recoil of the rifle used vs the recoil of rifle in Vanguard.
Have you even played Vanguard? The weapons in VG feel very punchy and unique from eac other. The models and animations are top of the industry. Using different caliber actually feels like you're shooting different bullets. Attention to detail and gun feel are actually insane in Vanguard
@@Suutari4 Yeah, gameplay and weapons was nice - the story was so lacking compared to WWII, though.
These game scenes are better than most movies...

Turner had some big balls to smack Pierson
Well turner is a commanding officer.
that wasnt a smack that was a damn sucker punch
I was thinking “bloody he’ll!”

you mean 2008 lol?
Black ops 2 was the last good call of duty game and that game came out in 2012, before they started making those futuristic call of duty games.
I struggled at the beginning But got past the machine guns even without a scope.
I did this on veteran and it was an traumatising experience but playing it on the 9/11 anniversary was even worse but wanted justice done for them
- Stealth
+ Battles like in the old days, with companies, etc.
