March 1945. With the 9th Armored and the 99th, our mission is to take the Bridge at Remagen. We get across, the last German resistance will crumble.

I had an old family friend who was a U.S. Army officer at the Remagen bridge battle, had a fragment of the bridge in glass on his book shelf. Funny old guy, dude had some crazy stories.

There was no end to the stories, but almost none left to tell them.

It did unexpectedly fall a short time later. The Rhine was raging from snow melt and several Americans from the Engineer Corp perished.
He spared the lives of surrendered German soldiers. Deserves 1 like
the surrendering soldier shouted >"Fuck the Führer" in german..
He spared the lives then left them alone to go on and kill other soldiers lol. No likes.

Most probably in real life they can shoot their backs and continue firing to their enemys.
The atmosphere between this and hell let loose is so different.
Cause hll has less people and airheads.
Cuz hell let loose is miles ahead in realism and sound effects
This is far more atmospheric than HLL. But this is very story driven, with specific triggers that aid it. HLL is very random due to it being multiplayer.
Battlefield 5 with the HUD off on multiplayer is something else, constant planes flying overhead, bombing, constant fighting and the graphics are great

I am living around there and to this day the bridgetowers are there and the bridge was never repaired.
Now there is a way for bikes between Koblenz and Bonn along woth the Rhine right there where the perspective is at around the 12th and 13th minute.
Liked this mission can be quite tough at first but easier once on the bridge ,good gameplay video

Pretty sure the grenade guild lines were the same back in WW2. If it is outgoing you say, frag out. If it is incoming you say grenade. Games still can’t get that right.

Incorrect front sight on that M1 carbine. Rear sight is also to big. The gun was never manufactured with a last round bolt hold open. Can't feed a scoped gun with a stripper clip. Rear sight on that BAR is a little to big. Casually abandons prisoners. The Thompson our sergeant has is the wrong pattern of the M1928, barrel's to long, especially for the time this battle took place. Your average infantry man would not have been trained to operate a German AA gun. From a gameplay perspective, looks great. I'm just sad that a franchise that prided itself on accuracy has fallen to what it is.
I’m having a very hard time with the AA Gun part it’s so infuriating cuz they keep shooting me when im shooting at them

They made a BIG mistake though. It was also attempted to blow the bridge up using the new Arado Blitz bomber, but those bombers were too fast so they missed the bridge and bombed the river.

Nope. There were no losses and no big fights during the conquest of the bridge. Only a single machine gun, but without much effect. It was easy and no epic battle like in CoD. The actual fighting began only after the conquest of the bridge on the German side of the Rhine. Trust me, I am a historian and a member of the museum in Remagen. 😉
