Previous Ford Focus owner, make sure you do some research on the transmission before buying.

Good video.. might need flash cards, lol... We just purchased a used one, minus the tech package. We love the MPG but I have to admit, the qwerky trans and odd power issues make this a toss up. It makes up a lot for it's issues in the ability to take curves and manual Sport Mode to bypass the odd trans. No matter what you do, there is a real big disappointment in hopes of having power awaiting you for the rare moments of wanting to be Fast and Furious, lol. The engine has a mind of it's own on lack of thrill. Odd, the bigger fusion has a smaller engine but was way better at power and got good MPG? NO idea how Ford lost in this engine design? We were able to get 41mpg at 70mph on interstate with mild hills. On a total trip of over 1k miles city and interstate, the MPG was 34.5, so not bad... but it is a good car that I am falling in love with every time we use it... all except for the trans.. The longer you drive it, the crappy trans shows it's colors. Odd, you let the car set for ten mins, and it starts off awesome again? We also suffer the rare random odd jumping thing you mention. Seems to be on the right side? No matter, I am taking it back to get it checked, I am betting this is why the original owner got a newer car. The best part of this car is MPG. The next is usability and design. I pray the reliability will be the gaining factor that helps this little car win our hearts.

I have a 2016 Ford Focus hatchback Titanium. It's a great car, the only issue with mine is that it's jerky when beginning to accelerate from a complete stop.

its not the best or the worst car.if you have the manual trans its going to be dependable . to soon be built in mexico so buy it now before that happens. the corolla will soon be built there as well.at any rate i have this car get from 38-46 mpg highway it has a timing chain not a belt no turbo .had a 2003 focus it was great lasted a long time. if you get one make sure its rust proofed the focus is prone to rust like the mazda is. if you do it you should be ok for a long time.
