I switched from English to Western a few years ago. Often, I've had the curb strap get hung up on their chin mid-bridling. So I like to undo it during bridling and refasten. I make sure to refasten it how I found it. Is this bad? I've had some horrified reactions from folks. I just think it makes bridling go more smoothly.

It’s not necessarily bad if it works for you! If you’re comfortable doing that then keep doing what works!
You are a great teacher. Ellie just sees her bridle ,now that you have taught her and she turns her head right to me.
