Teaching a horse to accept the bridle in a calm and willing way is not difficult if you take the time to explain to him what you would like him to do. I hope you enjoyed this video and thank you for watching. 🙂
Hello! So I'm wanting to train horses, your videos have been very easy to understand and follow I really appreciate you making these for beginner trainers. Sadly I haven't been able to start yet but I will soon!! Anyways I'm wondering if it's safe to make my own halter and lead rope ect. I know there are certain measuresments that need to he taken for my horse to be comfortable and safe. So to the point if you believe it's safe what kind of rope would you reccomend me using for this kind of project.?
Hello Rebecca, Thank you for your kind comments. I believe that you can certainly make your own ropes and halters. There are plenty of resources online to help you with that and I do believe that most people make their halters and ropes from yachting ropes. I hope that helps.🙂
@@BasicHorseTraining its helps plenty I appreciate your responding thank you so much. I'm definitely going to keep learning from your vids. 🥰 have a great day!
I just brought a yearling (1.6 years home) and have discovered that he has two bad habits he’s learned. He nips/bites and bolts on the lead to the right if he decides he wants to go see something he finds interesting. I am now using a rope halter to help with pressure and taught him to turn in to me (left flexion) if he thinks about bolting to the right. Ant tips on how to correct both behaviours? He’s already 15’2….

My horse keeps his teeth clenched together. Takes a while to get it in this mouth. Lol. He's something else.
It's a bugger when they do that 😆
cute horse. made me laugh trying to put his own bridle on.
😆
You should maybe use a GREEN HORSE
The principles are exactly the same Steemer. It can just take a little longer as you do it step by step. 😊
