A Quick Summary of the Channel:
First off, if you made it this far into the description, awesome; fist bump for that one, appreciate it. I’ll start with what a WaterHopper is in my mind and you may actually find that you are one as well. A WaterHopper is anyone who always has fishing on their mind and/or is always ready to go at the drop of a hat. Whether that be they have the gear with them in the trunk, (for me it's the gear and the kayak); or they just are always willing to join in the fun. I'm about three quarters through my build, used your video as inspiration and a guideline. Thanks! How did those cot sheets fit on the mattresses? I noticed on Amazon they are five inches wider than the mattresses. Still work out fine?
Funny as it is. I still haven't put the sheets on. Wouldn't want to tell you something I'm not even sure of myself! Soon as I try the sheets I'll respond here and let you know how it is. Thanks for the kind words good luck with your build!

You are welcome! Yea this mattress is a definite winner. I do use a roll up pack in type air mattress that I put under the mattress now. For extra cushion.
I need something to put in front of the woodstove when the electricity goes out during snowstorms- which it always does. I have been wondering if I should get a 4 inch or 6 inches? I don't want to feel the floor.

Thanks for the video! For side sleeping, are you feeling the platform in the middle of the night once you've settled on it? Do you have to supplement with pads underneath? How are they holding up long term? Any drawbacks?
I'm a side sleeper. Middle of the night does start to bottom out. I'm also 195 pounds. Now. I put my Cabelas air pad underneath it. Now I never bottom out. The air pad alone almost supports me. Using them both together has held up amazing. Spent about 12 night in the truck now. Been cozy every time. Even in the cold nights. It didn't harden up on me too bad.
I will be sleeping alone, by design, cross ways in the short bed 5''6, I'm 6'1. Have you noticed if you have 2 mattresses you get lost in the seam or sink in the seam? I'm thinking of buying the wider one.

Have you used these in freezing temperatures? Were you able to keep warm?
Yes I've now spent 4 nights below freezing. With proper layering I slept awesome. Super cozy.
What do you cover the bed of the truck with.

What’s size is the mattress
4" thick. 74" long. My bed is 72" the extra 2 inches actually make it sit nice and snug.
