DIY - INSTALL A REMOTE CAR STARTER. NO WIRE SPLICING!!! CHEAP AND EASY

USING FORTIN EVO-FORT1. WORKS FOR 08-12 FORD ESCAPE AND MANY OTHER FORDS
ive been reading and watching vids on installing car remote starters and got a headache from it. finally some of it sunk in. what makes it easy is a t-harness specific to your vehicle and a stand alone starter from fortin which uses your existing fobs.
the fortin evo-fort1 is a combo kit which includes the t-hatness for my ford escape(THAR-FOR1) and the evo-all which is the brains for the remote start feature. this fits many ford vehicles but needing different wire usage.
this is why i did not need to splice into any of the vehicles wiring but did use a male end obd port to connect to the vehicles female obd port else you would need to splice into two obd wires. as for other vehicles? idk.

no i did not. afaik it will work as is on this vehicle. if buying u can see if seller will make sure its set from fob to 3 times lock to start

@@diyvinny6300 I have a ford escape 2010 automatic but it does not turn on me, I must connect the necessary cables but I do not know if the module has been configured correctly.

@@ludwinchica4231 if wires arent connected correctly you can never test it to see if it works. did you use the exact same wire connections as mine and do u have the t-harness
