FYI, Zonaite Bow Locations. There's 10 chests in the whole game that have them, 8/10 are in 8/9 Labrinths - such as the Eastern-most chest in the North Lomei Labrinth and the northern-most chest in the Lomei Labrinth Island. But you can purchase them after completing the Spirit Temple for Zonaite.
Note: I mention the statue of the Eighth Heroine Room for weapons. This room may havew special coding that does not allow it to re-stock based on random respawn intervals OR blood moons. Looking into this...
Where can you get a zora bow and shield?
Where can you buy them?
@@jorgeddls The place where you get Mineru's spirit stone. There's a steward construct that you can talk to and buy it for I think 60 zonaite.
Ah, this is why I've never seen one. Haven't even tried the labyrinths
For bows there are hidden stats like draw speed and arrow velocity.
A guide on the “best” blood moon rotation for weapons, bows, and shields especially late game, would be sweet
Yes please
Yessir
Honestly, every bloodmoon just go to the floating colosseum. Kill all the lynels. You'll get royal weapons, good fuse items, 2 or 3 lynel shields, and a bunch a triple shot bows. Other than that you don't really need great weapons. Just kill boss enemies and fuse the items to the bad weapons to make them decent.
Plzzzzd
@flamethrower1273 I did that for 2 real life days and got a few 5 shot bows and a bunch of good 3 shot bows. Good shields. Armor pieces to fuse to all my shields. 100 hooves. Over 40 guts. Its amazing lol
There is a respawning Gerudo Bow in the soldiers courtyard to the right of the throne room in Gerudo town if you ever want one. The room with the big cannon. It's leaning up against the far wall with the 3 banners hanging up.
Was looking for this comment
I also just got one from a chest in Kara Kara Bazar, we couldn't touch it before completing the regional phenomena because it was their supplies, but now they just let Link open it. Next to the Gerudo soldier that wants to see a sparkling and fiery (Ruby) fused weapon
This. It’s there almost all the time. It’s as easy to get as the swallow bow.
Came down to comment this, saw that it's already there. Fun fact, there's also a Gerudo bow there in BotW! I was disappointed to discover that the Gerudo spear respawn that's in BotW's Gerudo Town isn't in TotK though, it should be in a room off of one of the two courtyards, either the one off of the bow courtyard or from the courtyard opposite it.
@@Mightylcanis you can respawn the gerudo weapons in the temple too
Fun fact, the Demon Bow and the Dusk Bow both don't burn in hot areas or attract lightning in thunder storms while equipped.
Zonaite/construct bows also are not conducive to electricity/attract lightning, this actually applies to all zonai gear and items, except powered shock emitters which will attract lightning
Dusk bow DOES attract lightning. I nearly got zapped because of it
wasn't this the same for the ancient weapons in BotW?
@@newflesh666 Yeah they neither burned nor attracted lightning
@@blue_lux cap, using it all the times never got zap
Concerning the "no frills" bows, something to keep in mind is that the construct bows and the "bone" bows are not made of metal, and therefore are safe to wear/use in a lightning storm. So MAYBE keep a mighty construct bow in your inventory to use on a "rainy day", assuming you don't have lightning immunity.
Zonaite bow also is not metal, just like the construct ones. So once you're able to get those, it's definitely the superior choice. But until then, I'd definitely agree on keeping at least one of the highest tier construct bows you've seen.
Demon king bow resists heat and lightning and has great damage
Zonaite bows outclass every construct bows. The demon bow also has the same utility niche. But yes, in mid game it is a good idea.
@@JonnyMcCallister-bu9ro Wait, really? I assumed they were metal because they resist fire.
Pretty sure Zonaite/construct weapons in this game are the (material) equivalent of ancient weapons in BOTW in that they will not burn OR attract lightning.
Multi-shot spreading bows are also great for depths exploration, you get a LOT more light for each brightbloom you use
Also wildly effective with eyeball arrows, especially against gleeoks, the arrows home in on a head, and when the head goes down any arrows that didn’t hit will retarget to another head
I'm glad you gave a special note to the Zonaite bow. It's one of my personal favorite weapons in the game and I feel it's very underrated. Sure, the damage may not be the highest, but that feeling of nailing a headshot on an unsuspecting enemy half a mile away is one of the most satisfying moments I've experienced in this game. Also, try fusing a keese wing to an arrow with the Zonaite bow. No joke, you can hit a target from the opposite side of a canyon with that combo. That kind of range may not be very practical, but I still think it's pretty cool nonetheless.
Try putting an elemental Keese wing on a boomerang
@@JonnyMcCallister-bu9ro I've done that with an ice keese wing; the extra range and freezing effect makes it good weapon for crowd control. Boomerangs are one of the more fun weapon types to use, even if they're not the most powerful.
Took a few tries but I headshot the lynel at the canyon 3 way with it from atop the plateau with the geoglyph just for grins & giggles. After figuring them out in BOTW I always take time outta my day to mess with lynels lol
There is a respawning radiant shield and gerudo bow in a cave in a hill that was in BOTW next to the gerudo desert tower that was surrounded by a pit, which is now Brida Lookout Chasm. The entrance is blocked by boulders. Coordinates of the entrance are -3792, -1690, 0362.
You only need 30 hearts for maximum damage with the Demon King's bow, not all hearts.
So there really is no reason to have 40 hearts...
@@lazyryan3766 well you probably want the hearts anyway, you don’t just want a bunch of light of blessings, lying around in your inventory now do we
@@cringecity124 except the last two enhancements are better spent on stamina than hearts, since you can't have both maxed
@@lazyryan3766 I know that’s why you should focus on stamina first you know so you can try to get the master sword and to explore better
@@lazyryan3766Endurance ingredients (ie : endura shroom, endura carrot and vice versa) are far harder to come by than hearty ingredients, and if you have max stamina and 38 hearts. All you need are hearty bass, which give 2 temporary hearts, and are found in abundance on certain sky islands, spots I recommend are the islands where you drain 2 pools of water, just drain the pools and collect the fish.
There's a gerudo bow that respawns in Gerudo Town where the warriors hang out. There's also one in that cave by the giant chasm where you could get all of the weapons in BOTW. Definitely easily accessible.
Oh damn, that hideout's still there? I'll have to check that out!
I really appreciate these kinds of videos explaining the ‘hidden’ stats like durability, range, etc. makes it alot easier to manage my weapons knowing what has good durability/damage. 👍🏾
I really don't know why they hide the durability when it's such an important stat
@@snoogans20why the hell do they hide almost all of the stats. That’s one call (which is rare) I think they’re flat out wrong on, you should be able to pull up those item stats some way. It’s super frustrating just having to guess or research separately online. Hell they could work it into some quest line where you acquire some kinda machine/equipment to read that data
I've constantly found the Gerudo bow in the same place as BOTW, the small cave near the Birida's lookout chasm. What used to be the bottomless pit where the tower was. that had one of each Gerudo Weapon, now there's just the bow and Radiant Shield.
Just a quick note, dragon spikes have the same effect as gems when shot from a bow. I find them to be more useful because they do more damage and are more common if you are good at dragon farming.
Good info, thanks
Gems are actually the highest damage elemental fusion materials to arrows, they are also the highest damage arrow attachment possible.
It's because of the damage of their elemental effect. All elemental effect items do 20 elemental damage(except chuchu jellies which do 10 and rubies/sapphires/topaz/opals).. The elemental gemstones do 80 elemental damage, and have the same radius as dragon parts/gleeok horns. Which makes them the highest possible damage attachment, given it's almost purely elemental damage though.. An example, you get 30(base dmg)+20(elemental dmg) from a gleeok horn totaling only 50. Or 40x1.8(72 damage) for a gibdo bone infused arrow and bone proficiency.. You get 81 from an elemental gemstone, 80 elemental effect damage +1 from the gemstone it'self. Opals are only 10 damage same as Chuchu jellies for those curious, but have the same explosion radius(x16) as dragon parts/other gems/gleeok horns.
There's a datamine spreadsheet that has all this info listed. If you check it out you'll notice that Ruby, Topaz, and Sapphires are listed as base field attack power 80. Which is the damage their elemental explosion "field"(radius) does. Far higher than any other elemental part :).
@@lollyd3828 unfortunately, gibdo bone infused arrows do not benefit from bone proficiency. Bone proficiency only influences weapon damages, not projectile ones. Since you can't infuse the bow, only arrows, you need an actual bone bow to exploit the proficiency, but even then it will only effect the weapon component of the damage, not the arrow one.
@@mimmo4762 Interesting, I tried testing it with and without evil spirit armor and the damage seemed higher, mayhaps I missed with one of the arrows of my 5 shot spread when I was testing it.
@@lollyd3828 Thanks for info, appreciated :)
Gosh, it must hurt…carrying the entire gaming community on your back. Austin is king ♥️
This has likely been mentioned countless times below, but I found a single use for the Mighty Construct Bow: lightning when I don't have lightning immunity (I'm typically wearing Majora's Mask with the stealth armor). The Royal Bow attracts lightning, while the Mighty Construct Bow does not.
Unless you attach a shock emitter, those act as lightning rods when powered
Just use the Zonaite bow
Phrenic Bow is in between hateno and for hateno. There’s some ruins with 2 roads that conjoin circling some trees that hold a gloom spawn. Go to a house near it and you will find it there.
It's a _really bad_ weapon tbh. The Gerudo Bow is 10x better and worth the Quest alone.
Though ,, I broke mine early. That's bad ,,, yea. Time to wait for new one. 🙄
Also I believe there is one behind a house in kakariko
Good to know I was pretty spot on with my bow usage... I usually favor Royal Bows due to their balance between power and availability... slowly accumulating a collection of Savage Lynel Bows though.
I got a 5 short forest dweller bow first go and I didn’t even knew they came like that!
yep, every "spread" multi-shot bow can get that modifier
Jack Jack!
Same happened to me. Kind of upset me when I repaired it down to a 3-shot without saving prior to.
Yo, when you do a modifier glitch to give a bow 5 shot like the demon king bow the arrows spread abnormally, do you know if a 5 shot duplex bow with its modifier glitched onto a demon king bow would shoot straight?
An incredibly useful video. I found the Demon bow quite useful for overall utility, expecially for fast shooting at close/middle range and rainy days when I don't want to change helm.
I would actually like a video about the most useful uses of core "objects", like flux cores, talus hearts and boss parts: I think it is an interesting topic.
*Potential spoilers* ....
Seems like Mucktorock is the only boss in the game to not have a special fuse item (just regular octorok items (eyes/tentacles/balloons) which I find very interesting & kinda disappointing tbh, given the potential for sludge/poison fused weapons
@@UrSoulsBelong2Nahobeeho true. Really disappointing. They are not even that useful as normal parts.
@@UrSoulsBelong2Nahobeeho I didn't mind since I was displaying the boss parts on a wall in my house and since theres only 3 weapons per wall it works out lol
Gerudo bow respawns in two places right next to each other. One in the botw area, and the other in the other large room on the other side of the throne room. Each gerudo weapon spawns there, along with all the elementals, some fruit, and some zonai gumballs. Very cool addition, easy respawn.
👍
I think the Gerudo Bow is actually the most underrated bow due to the reliable spawns and overall other features!
There’s a way to adding a modifier to the great eagle bow. However it does take doing a glitch. I added the attack up +10 on it and is the only one I use with the occasional 5 shot savage lynel bow.
I would love a video on all the different elemental damage from items. I always have a hard time deciding between using the more easy to find fruits and chu chu jellies or the more difficult to find, gems and dragon parts. But I'd love to know the difference and spread of each of those different elemental add ons.
A pretty simple tl;dr guide to elemental properties is anything that has fire ice electric or similar in the name will give that effect, many if not all items that have elemental effects also include it in the description of the item.
When using elemental melee weapons the elemental properties will last for 4 attacks in succession, after which they require a short cooldown of you not attacking to recharge. The only exception to this is gleeok horns, which don’t need to recharge EVER. Also gems will turn the weapon into a magic rod like note’s wizrobe rods, but using the magic wand/staff/scepter as the base will make the upgraded rods(blizzard, meteor, thunderstorm) star fragments can also be used for rods to illuminate dark areas
It would be cool for these armaments videos if you could note when certain pieces can or can't be found/made to be enchanted.
Like I know the Dusk equipment doesn't get anything from Rock Octorocks.
All Amiibo Weapons (and champion's weapons) can't be repaired. Fusing it to an item will give a modifier to the base item. When break-a-part is done the modifier doesn't transfer to the fuse-ee lol
Amiibo weapons and champion weapons and demon king weapons all classify as ‘legendary’ items and cannot be directly repaired or given modifiers by octoroks, as Austin said in his reply you can fuse them to a non legendary weapon and feed that to the octo to repair both and use the shop in tarrey town to retrieve the item. Interestingly there doesn’t seem to be any shields that fall in the legendary category, or atleast the hylian shield doesn’t, meaning it can be repaired by itself and get modifiers
@@DiamondPanda207 The only two legendary shields are the Daybreaker (Champion equipment) and the Sea-Breeze Shield (amiibo).
@@kevinr.9733it’s also available in the depths. When you find it there, you can buy more copies from the Poe statues. The inventory refreshes every so often. I have 3 in my inventory now from buying them again there.
I know its not useful for actual playthroughs, but a video for a compilation of rare/limited equipment (such as phrenic and forest bows) and the best farming spots for them once the guarenteed spots have been taken would be cool. Just cause theyre weak doesnt mean they arent collectible due to rarity.
Also i understand that LikeLikes will be the likely source for many if they treasure only drops
The last sentence of this video haha
That was lovely.
I appreciate your work and dedication so much!
You clear things up, you get to the point and you don't leave info out
I was hoping we’d get more content soon. Thanks Austin!
Great video - especially like the range measurement setup! Also it's Phrenic (Freh-nik) instead of Fen-ric
thank you. it was making my mind hurt. only because i’m crazy, not because austin did anything wrong 🤣
I love these videos where you break down the stats and stuff. Awesome stuff man thanks a lot.
Thank you for these high quality videos Austin. All this research you do must be time consuming.
I really like the transition cards you have at the start of each new segment! at first, I thought it was the start of an ad, but they are a nice touch!
Thanks for posting!! Very helpful.
Just here to say I appreciate you. You are doing good work. ❤
Thank you also to anyone behind the scenes on these well produced vids.
Nice, great video as always. As for the range of the bows, do you know if the impact of range increasing fuse items, such as wings and rockets varies with which specific bow is the same for everyone? Like does it add a specific amount of range for the bow or every bow shooting an arrow fused with a keese wing will have the same range no matter the base range of the bow?
Ty for this video, this was very helpful. Love all your content
I appreciate this video,
I found it helpful.
Thank you AustinJohn. 💚
Excellent video brother, this has been my favorite tears of the kingdom video so far. I just love range combat.
Thanks for doing what you do! It's been very helpful.
Thanks so much for doing this. I was also comparing bows the past week. I settled on savage lynel, royal, zonite bows for my inventory. Looks like I make a wise choice
That was a really well put together comparison, I love how you made the distance range out of lots 😅👍
I've been waiting for this video, thank you!
Been looking forward to another one all day, thank you very much Austin!
You can also get a Gerudo bow in Gerudo town in the barracks/training area. Back right corner. It respawns. I think you need to be at least as far as the siege in town for it to appear, but every step after that it's there.
Amazing video, Austin! Thanks for the content!
Thank you for consistent and useful content. I love this channel! I appreciate your work bro.
Thanks Austin! When I need bows I just go kill some silver lynels close to shrines and lightroots so it takes no more then 5 minutes (with the right equipment/tactics) to get at least 3/4 savage lynel bows, I still have my inventory full of bows but by the time I have used 3/4 of them a bloodmoon has already occured again. Obviously my Lynels have already scaled up but I just go to the shrines like Ishokin or Kurakat and Lightroots like Uihcoke, Muihcoro and U-u-ujoj. After that I just go to my marked Octorocs close to the shrines in Eldin (2 right in front of the Momosik shrine to the right side of the mountain and 6 above the Sibajitak Shrine (north side) to do the modifiers for 5-shot. I also keep a great eagle bow for if I am in the middle of a fight with a bow and a lightning storm occurs just as I need to shoot something. It is honestly way more fun then just duping your weapons and I will be sure to also get a zonaite bow from now on to keep in my backpocket if I need the distance for Koroks etc.
Great vid and commentary, thanks 👍
I mean, I've been well aware of literally everything in this video and frankly most of your videos for a while, but I still enjoy watching for some reason. Keep it up AJ. Fantastic content as always.
There's a gerudo bow in gerudo town, right next to the training soldiers, very close to the shrine. I love the gerudo bow for sniping enemy lookouts - Any enemy with a bow in an enemy camp, you can one-shot if you hit them in the head, regardless of how powerful they are, or how wimpy your bow is.
A.J. Thanks for the videos Brother they are really helping me out a lot!
I would love to see a video on your most out of this world constructs that aren't exactly practical but extremely fun to use or mess around with.
Great video as always. Would love to see distance test when you fuse a keese or other monster wing to arrow😊.
Gems are so powerful on multi shot bows I have even killed gloom hands in one shot
I believe there’s a static spawn Gerudo bow in Gerudo Town in the courtyard next to the castle.
This is amazing, the info as always is 👌 10/10
But just one correction, the forest dweller bow is the easiest multishot bow to get because it always appears on the great Deku tree, so it's a nice freebie you can get if you can't beat lynels or are too lazy to beat one.
(Which honestly it isn't that hard if you use puff shrooms)
Just Finished all the shrines today! Time to grind a little to get that reward fully leveled up
Thanks for doing all these videos. Best in the business!
Duplex bow can be pretty handy for clearing a way through rock walls in caves. I found that two bomb shots one after the other seems to have more effect than 3 at the same time from say a lynel bow, especially when up against the tougher rocks that require a couple of blasts.
Love your stuff man
would like to add that gerudo bows respawn regularly at the guards training area in gerudo town and also in a small cave immediately between the yiga clan hideout and the birida lookout, it was a go to place in botw for respawning gerudo items for me and checked very early on in totk to see if it was still there and the gerudo bow and radiant shield are found there, you do have to ultrahand rocks out of the entry way but it’s really easy to get to from the gerudo highlands tower
Your timing could not be any better. I was literally sitting in game wondering what bows to go hunt for and fill my inventory with lol
this is some top quality content. almost feel bad that this is free. excellent job. thank you.
I love this content! Well explained. Austin is the best!!
Just a side note: The demon king's bow although worse in almost every way compared to the great eagle bow; has a much faster arrow speed, the arrows move I believe twice (double check this) as fast.
Also it’s cooler
That’s what I was gonna say lol
I have been waiting for this video
I would love to learn more about the Royal weapons like the royal broadsword royal claymore and Royal Spears and what does add with flurry rushing
I LOVE YOURE INTRO IT NEVER GETS OLD
AustinJohn I am loving your ToTK videos! You seem like you’re really into it. :D
Do you think you could do a video on how all the elemental items work when used? Cause the gleeok horns and gems work different then other elemental stuff, and im curious how each one effects weapons and uses
Actually, each elemental item has a little different behaviour and his own gimmic.
Love the data and research that went into this, but sill waiting for more of those shrine hunter episodes
THANK YOU Austin John, you've helped me figure out this cryptic game of Zelda now for years. We would all be lost without you.
Excellent video as always man👌
I found a gerudo bow (while having max xp by killing enemies) in a chest where you find a part of phantom armor in the hole in gerudo. I don’t know if it spawn regularly there, but it spawned there for me
Thank you for the content keep it up 👍
Ah! But you forgot to account for how cute the forest dweller's bow is :) that's gotta be bonus points
I could have sworn that you can get a Gerudo Bow in the same spot as BOTW in Gerudo Town in the Gerudo Soldier training area.
Yes you can. I was doing that for quite awhile before I settled on Dusk/Savage Lynel bows as the only ones I use. (I kinda hate the zoom)
I think it was the golden bow back then. Which was basically the same thing, extended range and maybe zoomed in shots? I can't remember 🤔
Yep. Also in that cave by the gerudo tower that used to have all of the weapons in it. It just has a gerudo bow and a radiant shield now.
Other side of throne room
You could also save scum an electric likelike for a gerudo bow
When will the next shrine hunters come out? I love your videos austin❤
This, I really want to get all the shrines before beating the final boss, but just wanna follow Austin's guides
im awaiting a every shrine and shrine quest guide, i used yours for botw and my crazy butt decided to do it 3 times for some reason so it was helpful for remembering all the locationz
The goat 🐐 thank you 🙏🏽 for all your hard work it sure helped me out
the rapid fire on the duplex bow also has a great advantage if you fuse ice to the arrow. the first arrow freezes, and the 2nd arrow breaks the ice for triple damage.
To add onto this, it's also able to instantly knock out a Like Like if you attach something like fire fruit and shoot it at their mouth, since the first arrow makes the stone appear and the second hits it
Excellent video as always
Something very important you missed about multishot bow is how they scale with gibdo parts : 32+40 is 72 per arrow, so 360 by a single shot. Multishot bow also works very well with eyes since you have 5 auto target arrows, able to flinch every head of a gleeok in a single shot. There is also fuse with wings which is very poweful and basically make any long range bow useless.
I didn't miss it, i wasn't talking about fusing cuz there's SO many different fuses. And i already covered this specific thing in detail here: ua-cam.com/video/MI1SqGw9mL0/v-deo.html
@@AustinJohnPlays By the way, I have another question, you said charging a Zonaite bow only matters at 3 bars and only increase the distance, is this true ? Like, it doesn't increase the damages, and chatging more than 3 bars doesn't do anything ?
the duplex bows can be nice for headshots if you wanna hunt down some rock octoroks. especially if you add tooth and claws to your arrows a lot.
Thank you for informing me on how to repair my great eagle bow. Much love.
Great video. Do the Gloom hands have specific location, or do they appear randomly?
The notable downside you didn't point out of the royal bow, for instance, is being made out of metal. I'm not that fond of getting struck with lightning, usually. Which reminds me I always thought the Hylian Shield was made of stone, till I played this. XD
Go get the thunder helm, then it doesn't matter what you wear in a lightening storm
it being made out of metal is an advantage. Put on the Lightning helm and stand next to enemies right before you're struck and that's HUGE damage on them.
I enjoy drawing lightning to enemies. It doesn't work well on Lynels, though. I keep a 5 shot Korok bow for Lynels during lightning and go bone or attack up armor depending on my mood.
@@DaOrr But then I'd be ugly. XD
Facts
There's a respawning gerudo bow in town in the barracks too. They left it in from botw. I personally like zoom so this is always my go to spot for one without any danger. And it's there even before you do lightning temple. Exact same stats -5 atk power but +zoom makes me prioritize gerudo over dusk bow.
My one gripe about the "No frills" bow section is that Dragon Boko and Might Construct are 1. Super easy to acquire and 2. Don't conduct electricity. The Zonaite bow is more of a pain to acquire so I always keep a Might Construct around for lightning situations.
Love your vids! Loved the stats too. Cant wait for the shield vid!! I swear that zora shield has mega durability
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. What is the base range without charge up for the zonite bow?
Something niche but cool with the zonaite bow is fusing a wing and charging it gives it infinite range. An example where it's useful, I fused fire keese wings and shot the bonfires atop the temple of time to make that whole bit a lot easier
Best shields and shield combos for defense, attack, and utility would be dope!
For zonite bow, 2 areas there is the zonai forge island, not easy to reach yansamin shrine to access this area but there is zonai weapons there.
The second area I found is going on the way to the final boss of the game but before you reach the story panels there that you encounter in the beginning of the game.
I've barely come across any lynels so I rarely get lynel bows, as such the duplex bow actually comes in handy.
They can be bought at the yiga clan hideout for cheap.
It's not a great bow, but if you need to bomb gloom hands it's better than single shot bows.
I really like the Gerudo Bow, I always have one on me. But also always carry a Zonaite Bow. I also have 5 demon king bows that I refresh every blood moon and then two savage lynel bows.
The fact that you can still have Rockoroks add attributes to 3 shot savage lynel bows is amazing. Not sure if they can with 5-shot since the 5 shot is yellow worded whereas i believe the 3 shots don't have that.
When selecting an arsenal, it's good to have one solid load out of all metalless weapons for thunderstorms, that's a factor, likewise with non-flammable.
You should make a video talking about how the different effects work, like how much extra durability is added on durability ++
great video, the type of zelda content I want
Great video with good info but I feel like damage modifiers on bows should have been included as well. The attack up +10 modifier on the royal guards bow for example.
You should probably always go for gold durability+ modifiers, except in the case of multishot bows that can get the x5 modifier.
I’d like to watch a video on the best fuse materials for shields, or shield utility. So a shield video like you did here with the bows.
The Demon Bow: I stored several of them fused to weapons or shields and put them on pedestals in my house, so when i want one i can unfuse in Tarrey town. The great eagle bow is too much of a hassle to repair, so it has a nice pedestal to its own and will likely stay there.
One thing that might be more emphasized is, what the bows can be modified to with an octoroc, i.e. the x3 bow could still get a +10 damage modifier (but that's a hassle to get), or e.g. a durability up modifier. Another great advantage is obviously that it can be repaired easily with an octorok.
My preferred bows: 5 shot Savage for tough fights, Zoanite for default (too lazy to swap), Royal for spare, a Dusk for some occasions, and a Great Eagle for display in my house. Zoanite and Royal i have one with +dmg (8-10) and one with + durability. I regularly repair them with octorocs, that's less of a hassle than cruising around to restock, as the octorocs allow me to repair multiple weapons just wandering around Death Mountain, and i can get the modifier i want.
