Well i born in 2007 and never got any console to have some nostalgia sadly, and since as very big sonic fan i appreciate this, does have a 80s style like as if i was in the 80s.
I’ve been surprised no one had really done a good sonic vaporwave album. (That I’ve found anyways) It just seems like something that someone woulda thought to make. Glad I found this.

The music has been with me since i could walk. You brought me back to better times when crts were the norm and i would watch Seinfeld with my dad. So beautiful i had a tear in my eye when i heard Cosmic Eternity for the intro. You went hard, you captured the Vaporwave feel perfectly, you made the mix natural and for all that i can't thank you enough. This deserves more views!
@@dreamcastleTM Advance got me through all those 2 hour rides back and forth growing up, i don't think any album has ever made me feel such a fluxuation of memories. From happy memories and tears of nolatagia, to the bitter sweet track that is history, a feeling of beautiful sadness. I can not overstate the quality of the musical craftsmenship on display here. I look forward to your next project.
I found this during the August of 2021. I had finished my first day of college, I had a fight with my mom during dinner, and left the house for a hour. I came back, and cooled down a bit by working on some sprites for a fangame. I saw this and clicked on it to give me some music in the background. I started listening, and I stopped working the sprite sheet. I felt a range of emotions, with me nearly tearing up just after the first minute. I'm glad I found this again today.
Man, what an experience. This album does a fantastic job at capturing the SegaSonic feel if you ask me. I especially like how Cosmic Eternity was used as part of the intro. Great work all around!
Such an amazing video, so many memories, all the Mega Drive games but my favourite will always be Sonic Adventure ❤️ as a kid getting lost for hours in the mystic ruins, stopping halfway through a level to just look around and finding all the glitches 😀
2:51 really struck an emotional cord, I could really feel my 4 year old self playing Mega Collection PLUS on the PS2, scrolling through the vast history of Sonic from comics, artwork, and etc. I'm so glad this came up in my UA-cam recommended
Even though I was born in 1999 I still experienced all of this nostalgia growing up , I remember my grandpa bought me a MegaDrive when I was 4 years old my first ever game was Sonic 2 I remember rushing home from school everyday to play it 😌 ; during summertime I’d play until that orange sunset came into view , spending those long hours chasing the emeralds - these are memories I’ll forever cherish. Its been two years since this released but, it feels nice. Calm, in a world full of hell and a place where the funny blue hedgehog doesn’t even have consistently good games anymore, this is the exception, its reminds me of S:CD, one of the most atmospheric and fun yet also creepy and happy games ever, the contrast of bad and good really shines through here, especially the cosmic eternity and robotnik theme one after another
Think I'm here on my fourth or fifth listen and I'm just noticing how low the viewer count is. Such a shame because this mix is an experience. Thanks for the trip and sharing on the twitter feed now!
To be honest, I don't feel the range of emotions other people do with this, so I was just listening for fun, and didn't really have flashbacks anywhere. That doesn't mean I can't like the tracks, though, they feel mesmerizing. Great work on this!

I must admit that listening to this made me feel a stream of emotions of nostalgia and longing for the simpler times. A sense of oneness and wonderful feelings. I truly loved the sonic franchise as it is the first video game I remember even playing. Some tracks I could literally listen to and day dream. They sound remeniscent to very deep ambient music like Carbon Based Lifeforms or some trance inducing music. When I get back to regular posting of my own videos, I would like to inquire if I could request to get some tracks made for my channel, for intro/outro etc. If you can take requests. I see it! Vaporwave is a fascinating Internet-born genre of music and art. It’s a branch of plunderphonics (previously recorded music that has been repurposed, distorted, chopped up). You can describe it as mostly 80s and 90s music from the junk bin that’s been distorted to the point that it sounds like the ghost of a broken record on repeat. It’s a lot of things to different people: a satire on Cold War era capitalism, a new way to experience retro nostalgia. There’s a lot of layers to it, and I’d encourage you to search UA-cam for more in-depth commentary on it.
