Nicely done Scott. The level of detail on the film images is amazing. I think my favorite one was the second digital photo with the standing dead tree backgrounded by the green in the scene. I liked that one a lot. Always look forward to your videos Scott.
Another very enjoyable episode, Scott. The first digital shot was very lovely. The way the light works in that shot is very nice. I always love how seamlessly you move from film to digital or vice versa. The photos make for a nice set, no matter the medium used.
Thank you Christopher. I think that image you highlighted is one of the best of the trip. I was really fortunate to stumble on those conditions. I think the ease of moving between formats might be because I approach them both in the same way. Leave the camera in the bag and use a viewing frame to find the composition and where to place the camera. Once that is accomplished, the creative work in the field is essentially done, and all that's left is to operate whichever system to capture the image. Plus I suppose my 35+ years behind the camera helps me be effective regardless of the system (...but let's not dwell too much on those years....) Take care!!
Both photos at the beginning, vertical and horizontal, look wonderful Scott! My favorite from this video was at around 4:50. I really like the composition, colors and mood. The trees and branches lead my eye upwards but the red foliage on the left leads me back to the center. Absolutely lovely!
Nice job Scott! I think I like the vertical comp best. Fun to see spring vs fall, always interesting to see how things change over time. Looking forward to the next one!
The portrait photo was my choice above the landscape. The scene just appears more natural. I appreciated that you showed us the loup views of the landscape so that we could actually visualize the areas that were catching the light and creating the bright spots. The composition was fine but the colors almost seemed kind of HDRish to me. So much enjoy you taking us along on your journey here with your descriptions of the weather and scenes as well as an opportunity to enjoy the Smokies with you.
Thank you Jim. Yes, that Velvia can get intense and that horizontal with the "almost' sunlight was probably right on the edge. The Smokies are so nice and in the late fall like this, it really is a special time to be there.
Hi Scott, always enjoy your videos. I'm in the market for an umbrella like you have that will attach to my Gitzo. Do you remember which one you have? Thanks!
Great shots as always. Loved the first horizontal shot!
Thanks Erich!

Thanks so much Philip, I really appreciate it.
Beautiful images!
Thank you Rene!

Thank you Chris. I thought that one was pretty special. I got lucky with the nice atmospheric recessing due to the fog and it all just came together.
Nice work Scott! I do like that first scene. Great color and the light worked well
Thank you Brian. Well, I worked on that scene enough times on this trip. Hopefully I got something that’ll work!

Thank you Chris!
Gorgeous images! Nice video too
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
Nice images again, I like the “loupe” close up views of the transparency.
Thank you. Yes, it's hard to beat the look of a trancy on a light table!

Hi Ned. It’s the Versa-brella. Just search it on Amazon and it’ll come right up. Highly recommended. I love it and it works great! Take care!
@@ScottWalton Great, thanks. That's the one I was looking at but wanted to confirm. Happy Holidays.
