In this video I continue exploring the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I find more Dogwood and a few river compositions. I do a big pano and also some black and white.

Hi Scott. Thanks again for a nice way to brighten up this hot and sultry Saturday morning. In addition to viewing your beautiful photos and journey, I really appreciate your discussions on lens choices and camera movements. For a large format beginner like me, it's all very helpful and inspiring.
Hey Jim! Glad you found it useful. BTW, please feel free to send along any questions as they occur if you'd like some input. I know there's a lot to manage with LF and some parts of the learning curve can be steep. Always happy to help if I can. Take care!
Comfy chair? check. Good cup of coffee? check. Watching photography videos on you tube starting with Scott Walton? Check. Morning complete.
Hi Thomas, thanks for including me in that Saturday morning ritual. I know a lot of folks do that and I'm grateful to be included.
Great way to start the day!
Very nice Scott. I just love those dogwoods against the green background.
Thank you Philip. It was a pretty nice location with good light that morning.
Beautiful B&W image @6:25, Scott! Great video as usual, thank you!
Thank you Nader! I was pretty excited to find that subject.
Beautiful 😍😍😍
Thank you!!
Great video! Really enjoyed it.👍👍👍
Thank you!! 🙏
Beautiful work--as always! I especially like the Velvia shot of the dogwood that you pointed out at about 2:07.
Thank you Dan. I spent a lot of time in this location and think I came away with a few nice things.
Beautiful work Scott! I really like that first scene with the dogwoods. I’d love to visit there someday!
Thanks Brian. It took me a few times at that spot but got some nice light and conditions that morning.
Hi Scott ! Interesting video !
Thank you Evgeny!
In the first shot the velvia negative seemed a bit dark? I loved the provia one. You know Pentax has got to be one of the most underrated cameras both analog and digital. I love TMax film in all its sizes. Although I do shoot Delta every now and again but TMAX is my go to. I still love the way that you are able to handle Velvia. The little I shoot it the photo are too saturated green and blues more magenta than blue. But you seem to have it tamed. Great stuff, thanks for taking us along!
Hi Erich. I think that piece of Velvia looks a little darker in the video than it actually is, but not much as you're right, it is dark. I think it's because it was a sunlit scene an in order to preserve detail in the sunlit parts, the rest had to be darker. It worked out ok though in the scan, which actually surprised me a bit.
Great explanations, thanks for this. Btw I also enjoy the atmosphere that you capture with the music. I was wondering which soundtrack are you using ?
Hi Ilich. Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comments. The music is all from Epidemic Sound. Except for the little outtro clip which I assume you're not referring to, here are the 3 songs in order of appearance:
Faded Silhouette - Helmut Schlenker
Snow in June - Martin Landh
My Little Turtle - Christophe Gorman
Thanks again and take care.
