There's a jungle of TPU filaments out there, and I have been testing a few in order to find good quality at good price.
This video is about my findings.

So 8 months later, what tpu did you settle on? Overture is super cheap atm and ill be using a spool holder that holds it from the inside so it should not be an issue.

Since I dont have an issue with the overture cardboard roll, do you still think the zain? (Ziro?) tpu is worth the extra price?

Hey. Honestly the overture is working very well for me as long as I take care of the roll. I had many issues in the beginning, physical issues, but the filament prints well. I still use the Ziro when I can, but overture has many more colors.

@@NordFPV thank you for the response. Looks like ziro is $17 for white atm so I may pick that up.
Have you had any experience with the rdq filament? Any good? Wondering if I should just pick it up since ill already have free shipping with my pavo 20

@@KcCakeNo, I haven't have any experience with that, but obviously is a OEM product. It will be interesting to know who is the real manufacturer.

will theses after printed TPU product suffer hydrolysis like the PU in the shoes soles? After a while the shoes PU sole will disintegrate, breaks apart from humid in the air. Would that be the same for these TPU after we printed them out?

Without any scientific prove, I have parts printed 7 years ago which has not changed enough for me to notice it. I’m pretty sure there has to be some humidity absorption, but I don’t think enough to hurt the part.

Hello. I recently started to test some new HS TPU. In thinking about doing another video on this when I have enough data.

I don't like the Cardboard Overture Rolls Because they can absorb Moisture.

Agree. And so many companies are using something similar these days.

I don't think the cardboard is absorbing enough water to affect the roll of filament, let alone transferring the water to the filament roll. Even if that were the case, it would only affect the last bit of filament on the roll because that's the only part that's even touching the cardboard. This sounds like paranoid thinking to me. Cardboard rolls are so much better for the environment. We don't need any more plastic in our oceans and in our bodies. And anyway you can always keep your filament in a dry box.

I think you are misunderstanding the issue. Is not about transferring humidity to the plastic or actually doing anything to the filament. It’s about the card box getting damaged by humidity and other factors and this damage makes it difficult to use the spool: the stop rotating correctly and so on.
