Andrea Ferrero was sick, really making that strandberg scream. Michael Lygouras was very nice as well. All of them are incredible, far better than I could do, but those 2 really stood out to me.
Didn’t enter cause I’m a drummer but this is a big move man! Glad to see someone in the light sharing it with unknown artists!! Hell yeah dude!! I hope this kind of energy spreads! ❤
Wow these are all fantastic. After listening to these over a few times here are my picks. Davin Glover - Amazing! 15 yrs old and totally sick solo!!! My top pick in this group, stunning! Kirill Mazhuga - 8 stringer! Andrea Ferrero - Nice Smile and tone! Beautiful solo! Reminds me of Lari Basilio, love it! Marcus Lembidakis - Tone Yes, very slick and tasteful! Max Van Esch - Cool Guitar! Heck yes great solo! Michael Lygouras - Melodic! Oliver Christian - Samba!!!!! Fast fingers! Renne Haapanen - Nice! Different then the rest, really cool!
This is a great idea! I'll comment and like along the way to support. Bunty had an awesome flying V, Chuck killed it at red rocks, CLockwork was a great keyboard player, Davin Killed it, Elias had the best modification, Adam had the best slapping, I love FX Hex's guitar, Lukas is a killer guitarist, Jeffery's guitar collection is out of this world, Most creative goes to Kirill, Andrea gets cleanest shred, Luke is the audience stealer, Marcel was really bluesy, Best tone for Marcus, Max had the most diverse playing, Micheal has the best studio set up and instrument, Michael 2 had the best sweeping and melodics, Mladenhad the best transition, Daniel blew all of our minds (of course), Nicola breaks boundaries by learning bass, Oliver had the best slides, Peter had the best use of a whammy bar, Best showman was RnM, Renne has the best use of scales, Sam went outside the box.
My Favs are: Chuck Dietz FX Hexcen Kirill Mazhuga Andrea Ferrero Marcell Aritonang Marcus Lembidakis Max Van Esch Mladen Mladenovic Oliver Christian Renne Haapanen
Adam from Hong Kong's 8:06. I'm absolutely blown away! His thumb technique is truly extraordinary. It's not every day you come across such skill and mastery. His performance is really 'sick' and takes guitar playing to another level. Can't wait to hear more from him.
Sorry to use your post to repost my just now comment idea. But I want it to get traction cause good idea is good idea 😂 “vid series of entry reactions where you and the comments judge best of the vid series # then at the end the final video is the winner of each of the vids in the series. For a comment tally of the final winner vs your opinion reveal between the finalist series. ❤”
Much love and respect to Jared. I remember subbing to you when you had just a little over 100k subs, doing silly videos (to which by the way I still come back from time to time to have a little nostalgic laugh) and now look at you, using your platform to pave the way for so many talented musicians. Even though only handful of them will make it to The Grand Collab you still give all of them an opportunity to shine a little in these videos. God bless you mate.
This is a fantastic solution! I watched a least 300 of these and thought, "Damn, this is going to be difficult for Jared to just pick 25." So many fantastic players this year.
Mr. Dine, Dude, Thank you for doing this. Letting so many amazing musicians use your platform to showcase their talents. That is mighty kind of you. You're a good man. Stay well. Stay True. Love from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
It’s folks like Davin that make me grateful I only picked up guitar to accompany my voice. I’ve been playing since he was born and he’s beyond anything I can amount to instrumentally. Incredible skills.
Hey everyone! Oliver Christian here...or better saying: THE SAMBA VERSION GUY! (19:19) 😂😁It's really awesome to be featured in this video. I hope Jared and you all enjoyed the soloing! Thank you ❤❤
That 15 yo Davin kid was insane, he made that sound fretless. Those harmonies were so futuristic and clean……kid definitely has his own unique tone…well done man, I was satisfied playing things like The Pumpkins and Bush at 15, thought I was good at the time 😆 …. This guy is in another dimension.
I didn’t even get my first electric til I was 17, lowkey jealous of the kids who got started early. But I could’ve started at 5 and still wouldn’t be playing what he’s doing
he probably started really young and practiced a lot and with all the tools today he probably is happy and has motivation to play 8 hours a day @@empiresSR
The “colosseum” is Red Rocks amphitheater as other people are confirming, it’s a legendary venue, I’d go to a show with you! No way I made it in here with all you insane shredders, don’t be surprised if I try to borrow some licks 🎸
the fake out i thought you were gonna do is "so I asked some friends to help me with it." 1 video - 25 entries of 1500 oof. This contest may end up being longer than Trey Xavier's song writing contest. Probably best to do a few live streams listening to them all. Reactions/comments/timestamps: 04:14 - that V is literally a flying V 😂. 04:30 - dig those pants/leggings 05:10 - hell yeah you can shred on a keyboard! 05:45 - this kid can shred more than i ever could. keep at it and he'll definitely go far wtf. i also agree with jared's reactions 06:33 - slowed it down to make it heavier, i dig this. great entry. 07:20 - spoon man, come together with your hand and guitar. also loved how he changed the track 08:07 - thumb thumper ruled 08:50 - very tasteful mustache, oh and solo too. love it! lots of feeling of a song from this than how many notes you can play a second. 09:25 - wall of guitars probably still plays just one. seriously though, this one was awesome. 10:15 - probably the best entry yet! great backing track! i kinda wanna hear the rest of this song now lol. also amazing lighting this is a pro level music video! 11:20 - first female guitarist, and she kills it! 12:09 - distorted acoustic, dig this a lot. 12:45 - finger picking def need more of this in the contest! 13:23 - head tattoos. this guy is not human and actually an alien. not because of the tattoos but because he's great! 14:00 - this guy did his own backing tracks which just totally changed genres from the metal he was sent, then added this joe satriana like vibe on top of it that's super melodic and shreddy. super tasteful. 14:40 - you could say the guitar was a banger. 15:17 - no face had some great melody and vibe here! 16:00 - 'mlady' with an extended nice clean break 17:22 - kids these days are more and more talented than any other generation ❤. Someone please buy this kid a good camera he deserves it! 18:40 - rule #2 does not apply to him. 19:15 - the genre bending continues! samba metal! \m/ great job! love the out of the box thinking and creativity on entries like this. 20:50 - this gym studio guitarist is pretty cool and created some really interesting melodies and used a wammy bar tastefully. 21:30 - great shredding, could use a bit more melody the one teased towards the end with the harmonies was awesome. wanted it to keep going! 22:09 - fun tapping shred with some cool melody. 22:50 - dig the added percussion and triangle, but could have used more cowbell. great melodies here, was singing them after it ended.
Yeah, wall of guitar guys here, (3 walls actually) and no I play a good chunk of them. Every tool has its purpose, tuning, and feel. Also, thank you, I try.
@@jeffreliantmensch woah that's a lot of guitars! glad you can make use of them all! I had 5 guitars at one point and loved 2 so much i just stuck with them, now i just play one electric. and yeah i totally get the tuning thing, especially if you have a floyd rose or other locking tuners.
This is super cool to give all these people a shout out like this and look forward to the reaction series lol as much as its a weird genre of UA-cam I would watch a reaction series of jared dines and friends seeing people shred and giving props and roasting people as needed
Everyone is a killer, wow. So I'm gonna mention the ones that I believe not only played well, but added the most melody and had the best tone and mix. Devin Glover even though it's very technical sounds very melodic and has a fantastic mix. Adam from Hong Kong was next level. Kiril Mazhuga wow, what an interpretation, beautiful. But I think that's not what the collab is about. Marcus Lembidakis, wow.
DANG! SO many talented people!! Oof.... I don't even know where to start 😂 I really liked every single one!!!!! ❤ But I think I can share my own favourites out of these entries: Davin Glover 5:42 Adam (from Hong Kong) 8:05 Kirill Mazhuga 10:10 Andrea Ferrero 11:17 Luke Bailey 12:08 Marcus Lembidakis 13:19 Max Van Esch 13:58 Michael Lygouras 15:14 Mladen Mladenovic 16:00 R&M Covers 21:29 Can't wait for the next ones!
Jared: "I was just Bull Shittin, and you know this Man." 😂😂😂 We already know that you ain't missing Christmas. That'd be like putting Santa on child support.
These musicians are all insane. However, as much as I loved them, I definitely feel like if it wasn't what you specified in the rules in terms of length and requirements, it should be disregarded. Lot of amazing musicians who were limited to the track length that could have done so much more had they been given 1 or 2 extra minutes like some of these entries. All of these musicians definitely deserve recognition and I think it would be great for you to do some sort of "Didn't make it in because XYZ but check these musicians out" segment.
These kids absolutely RIPPING on the strings at such a young age is ridiculous. Yet another year to get pumped for the shred collab, my favorite youtube video of the year!
It was quite the endeavor to pick some players that stand out as everyone set the bar so high. In no particular order, here's some that made an impact with some impressions: 5:42 Davin Glover amazing tone and harmonics 8:52 Lukas Kocka the most balanced and planned out solo, the kind I would expect form a session musician 10:10 Kirill Mazhuga shortest favourite song I've ever heard, this guy is the alpha of guitar players 11:17 Andrea Ferrero she broke my heart and melted my face away with those harmonics which are the most brutal I've heard in all of the videos 12:08 Luke Bailey beautiful and biting percussive/melodic style 13:19 Marcus Lembidakis amazing tone, feeling and look! really enjoyed your happy face playing 13:58 Max Van Esch probably my favourite tone and phrasing 17:22 Daniel Nguyen mind bending phrasing, how do you do that with such long scale runs 19:17 Oliver Christian (BOTH VERSIONS) for the musicianship, expressions, fascinating melodic structure and making it look effortless Now imma go listen to everything again.
Everybody is absolutely INCREDIBLE, I mean... its mind boggling. Mazukah, Ngyun, and Haapanen were my favorite so far. I believe i'm the only contestant with a "One Handed Arpeggio". Hopefully you get to see it Jared, thank you. 🙏
Jared...thank you for what you do for musicians everywhere. Seriously. You are one of my favorite people on the internet because of what you have done for our genre. Seriously, and also from guitarists everywhere...thank you for caring bro. Respect 🎸
That guy Rick with the “no excuse” situation had an amazing whammy bar technique and had ultimate control with his phrasing at the end there! Bravo Rick. We are all bowing to you Sir Thank you
Glover as a 15 year old had chops. Elias Oliver had a very balanced technical solo, love the choice of tones. Hexcan's was very heavy hitting and raw, creative use of the spoon. Kirill Mazhuga ripped his part, very melting. Max Van Esch took us to another planet- made the guitar sound like a futuristic spaceship. Michael Lygouras totally had a rounded solo with jazzy chromaticism. Daniel Nguyen laid down a masterful solo for a kid. These kids are something else. Oliver Christian had a cool idea putting the solo over like a bossa nova beat and ripping it. R&M covers deserves mention just because he pulled a Herman Li. Finally Renne Haapanen was my favorite- insanely tasty and colorful.
No way I’m in this video. Thank you so much Jared hope you enjoyed my solo ❤

Jared you should do these as livestreams! More immediate audience interaction and I feel like you could cover a lot more ground that way too.
My vote goes to Renne Haapanen @ 22.10 IS just slaying IT😍😍😍 definetely The best!!!!!!
Thanks man❤
I appreciate the “out of this world” guitar collection. I’ve just played forever and have a crazy addiction, apparently, Thanks man.
My Favs are:
Chuck Dietz
FX Hexcen
Kirill Mazhuga
Andrea Ferrero
Marcell Aritonang
Marcus Lembidakis
Max Van Esch
Mladen Mladenovic
Oliver Christian
Renne Haapanen
Thanks a lot ♥️ -Mladen
Thank you!
From the bottom to the top, yes. Renne Haapanen is the best.😊
Thank you so much! Im glad you like it
Who’s this Renne Haapanen guy? That was awesome! Voting for him definitely. This guys a virtuoso in the true meaning of the word🔥!
And he comes from a small country called Finland!
Keep'em coming! Please show us all of them!
Adam from Hong Kong's 8:06. I'm absolutely blown away! His thumb technique is truly extraordinary. It's not every day you come across such skill and mastery. His performance is really 'sick' and takes guitar playing to another level. Can't wait to hear more from him.
Lol I’ve yet to see anybody thump on a abasi guitar and be bad at it tbf
It's just the old Vic Wooten technique. That is where Tosin got it.
Make it THE MUSICIAN MANSION EDITION: Give them to every participant is that reality, for them to choose, live on Twitch.
This is a great idea! I will for sure watch all these videos, it is so cool seeing so many talented people!!
Sorry to use your post to repost my just now comment idea. But I want it to get traction cause good idea is good idea 😂
“vid series of entry reactions where you and the comments judge best of the vid series # then at the end the final video is the winner of each of the vids in the series. For a comment tally of the final winner vs your opinion reveal between the finalist series. ❤”
@@libertyordeath7006 That is actually a super good idea!!!!!
Wow… that 16 year old Davin Glover just buried me alive…!!! Insane talent… Respect!!! ❤
God bless you mate.
davin glover deserves it fr, bros actually insane and has far surpassed most people’s guitar skill at just 15 years old. its actually crazy
I've been playing for almost 30 years and that kid absolutely destroys me. Like I'm not even close lol
My favorites from this video are the guy from Hong Kong and Renne, but especially the former
This is a fantastic solution! I watched a least 300 of these and thought, "Damn, this is going to be difficult for Jared to just pick 25." So many fantastic players this year.
I feel the SHIT out of this, having just finished going through 1200 submissions to my contest. It took me an entire year hahaha
It took me 3 days... Hire me, I'll increase your productivity by 3,000%
@@JaredDines_ damn I am doing something WRONG hahaha
Mr. Dine, Dude, Thank you for doing this. Letting so many amazing musicians use your platform to showcase their talents. That is mighty kind of you. You're a good man. Stay well. Stay True. Love from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Davin Glover should enter for sure, there are a lot of people that play really well in here, but he just makes something different
That’s my history partner💪🏽💪🏽
Was familiar and fresh at the same time
1 Michael Lygouras 15:14
2 Andrea Ferrero 11:30
3 Kirill Mazuhka 10:21
Agreed 👍👍
Thanks a lot mate❤
@@jonny555ivethanks man❤
Renne Haapanen: Fantastic! Renne is the best👍I like this.
Im old and been playing a long time. These kids coming up just blow me away at this shred stuff. Its so cool to see the bar being raised so much.
Thank you ❤❤
Renne is a fast and creative musician, a great coach and a cool guy, thumbs up! 😎
Sustaniac + whammy bar = fretless hack 😈
Thanks man
@@DavinGloveryou absolutely blew my mind. My mouth was still open 6 guitarists after. Keep it up, you have true talent.
I didn’t even get my first electric til I was 17, lowkey jealous of the kids who got started early.
But I could’ve started at 5 and still wouldn’t be playing what he’s doing
he probably started really young and practiced a lot
and with all the tools today he probably is happy and has motivation to play 8 hours a day
@@empiresSR
Seems sped up
I love watching guitarists facial expressions when they play and it is as if they're singing the notes. Great stuff in here.
My vote goes for 22:07 Renne Haapanen.. Nice modal work👌👌
The “colosseum” is Red Rocks amphitheater as other people are confirming, it’s a legendary venue, I’d go to a show with you! No way I made it in here with all you insane shredders, don’t be surprised if I try to borrow some licks 🎸
Surprised he didn't know that
I vote Renne Haapanen amazing guitarist all around.🎸
And an amazing person also.
the fake out i thought you were gonna do is "so I asked some friends to help me with it."
1 video - 25 entries of 1500 oof. This contest may end up being longer than Trey Xavier's song writing contest. Probably best to do a few live streams listening to them all.
Reactions/comments/timestamps:
04:14 - that V is literally a flying V 😂.
04:30 - dig those pants/leggings
05:10 - hell yeah you can shred on a keyboard!
05:45 - this kid can shred more than i ever could. keep at it and he'll definitely go far wtf. i also agree with jared's reactions
06:33 - slowed it down to make it heavier, i dig this. great entry.
07:20 - spoon man, come together with your hand and guitar. also loved how he changed the track
08:07 - thumb thumper ruled
08:50 - very tasteful mustache, oh and solo too. love it! lots of feeling of a song from this than how many notes you can play a second.
16:00 - 'mlady' with an extended nice clean break
17:22 - kids these days are more and more talented than any other generation ❤.
Thanks, man, I appreciate the feedback) maybe I'll write the whole track out of this)
Thanks!!
No face guy here😂 thanka a lot mate❤
Yeah, wall of guitar guys here, (3 walls actually) and no I play a good chunk of them. Every tool has its purpose, tuning, and feel. Also, thank you, I try.
@@jeffreliantmensch woah that's a lot of guitars! glad you can make use of them all! I had 5 guitars at one point and loved 2 so much i just stuck with them, now i just play one electric. and yeah i totally get the tuning thing, especially if you have a floyd rose or other locking tuners.
7:29 the spoooooooooooooooooon!!!
he's feeding the guitar some water to cool it down
22:00 Renne Haapanen 😎 Soooo special!!! "Fits like a glove!"
This is super cool to give all these people a shout out like this and look forward to the reaction series lol as much as its a weird genre of UA-cam I would watch a reaction series of jared dines and friends seeing people shred and giving props and roasting people as needed
Davin is so good. So clean, precise, and innovative
Thank you❤
You gotta sub to him
@Sirflynn just did!!😊 😃 anytime Davin! You're awesome
Totally awesome guitarsolo by Finnish flash Renne Haapanen💪
Really liked:
• Davin Glover
• Adam (from Hong Kong)
• Kirill Mazhuga
• Andrea Ferrero
• Max Van Esch
Wow Renne Haapanen(?), wow that was some interesting stuff, he gets my vote
DANG! SO many talented people!!
Oof.... I don't even know where to start 😂
I really liked every single one!!!!! ❤
But I think I can share my own favourites out of these entries:
Davin Glover 5:42
Adam (from Hong Kong) 8:05
Kirill Mazhuga 10:10
Andrea Ferrero 11:17
Luke Bailey 12:08
Marcus Lembidakis 13:19
Max Van Esch 13:58
Michael Lygouras 15:14
Mladen Mladenovic 16:00
R&M Covers 21:29
Can't wait for the next ones!

fx hexen 7:20
Max van Esch 13:58
micheal lygouras 15:15
daniel nguyen 17:25
Thanks man❤
Jared: "I was just Bull Shittin, and you know this Man." 😂😂😂
We already know that you ain't missing Christmas. That'd be like putting Santa on child support.
Glover , Hexcen , mazhuga , Van Esch ,and Lygouras were my favorites .
Thanks a lot man❤
Kirill has some style, man..... wowsers. Max left me shaking my head..in a good way. That kid Daniel makes me wanna burn all my guitars.
Really liked Renne Haapanen's solo.
That's not enough shred Jared. It's NOT enough!! I hope to join in next year and push it over 1500 entries
11:16 If Andrea doesn't make it I'll be mad that lil solo almost made me cry
Adam (from Hong Kong)!!!!
Kirill Mazhuga !!!!
Max Van Esch !!!!
Oliver Christian !!!!
Renne Haapenen !!!
Thank you!
In no particular order, here's some that made an impact with some impressions:
5:42 Davin Glover amazing tone and harmonics
8:52 Lukas Kocka the most balanced and planned out solo, the kind I would expect form a session musician
10:10 Kirill Mazhuga shortest favourite song I've ever heard, this guy is the alpha of guitar players
11:17 Andrea Ferrero she broke my heart and melted my face away with those harmonics which are the most brutal I've heard in all of the videos
12:08 Luke Bailey beautiful and biting percussive/melodic style
13:19 Marcus Lembidakis amazing tone, feeling and look! really enjoyed your happy face playing
13:58 Max Van Esch probably my favourite tone and phrasing
17:22 Daniel Nguyen mind bending phrasing, how do you do that with such long scale runs
19:17 Oliver Christian (BOTH VERSIONS) for the musicianship, expressions, fascinating melodic structure and making it look effortless
Now imma go listen to everything again.
2nd dude was playing at Red rocks stadium that's so epic!
the four that got me grooving the most were:
FX Hexcen
Kirill Mazhuga
Michael Lygouras
Oliver Christian
Thanks man!
Thank you
Jared...thank you for what you do for musicians everywhere.
Bravo Rick. We are all bowing to you Sir
Thank you
My vote goes to Renne Haapanen! Absolute beast with his guitar💪
Renne Haapanen You Rock!! I vote Renne. 🧨🎇🎉
Thanks man
Thank you!!
