No way I’m in this video. Thank you so much Jared hope you enjoyed my solo ❤
Your shit was 🔥
So good!
I’m a huge fan dude! Can we collab ?
Loved your submission man. Keep on rockin!
Absolutely well deserved. What really scares me is if another 100-500 15-year olds can do this, then Jared will cancel the channel, not only his playing :D
The audience DEMANDS an 8hour non stop shred
not seeing the problem...
nty
The shred channel needs to happen
Yes please
No one wants that besides geartechnerds.
I would definitely watch all 8hrs worth of the shred comp. So much talent in this day and age it’s insane. Good luck to all entries 🤙🏼
Renne Haapanen 22:07. He`s doing something new, that I`ve been waiting for years. 100% vote
So we’ve reached the pinnacle of musicianship… no one sucks anymore. Hell I’ll take the keyboard guy too
I am that keyboard guy🗿, thanks so much
Dont worry. I can submit one next year and I truly suck playing guitar.
You only say no one sucks because you haven't heard me play D:
@@psb69 Your solo was by far my favourite one. Just so melodic and nostalgic sounding, the kinda stuff I grew up on
i suck pretty bad!
8:45 can’t believe me and my moustache made it in, thanks Jared! 🙏
All the best bro!
Let's go man!!! All of the luck!!!
Wish you the best of luck, keep chasing the dream bro! You are an inspiration to me
Real tasteful! Also green's my favorite color, so yeah I was very impressed, best of luck!
kocka's moustache for president 2024
Awesome. I appreciate being tossed on this video. (I’m the fat one with all the guitars at 9:22) Yeah, ridiculous amount of talent in just this video alone. I had no business around these other musicians; hats off guys.
Brilliant move getting your community more involved. Props to you Jared!
8.5 hours of non stop shredding? Why not?
yes
It's the biggest shred collab after all 🤘🤘
It would be awesome for work background music or for falling asleep to. I love listening to instrumental metal to relax
lofi channels do it, and even tho they are boring i still listen them in the background working so this could be something ;)
not gonna lie id quit 10 minutes in
Davin Glover @ 5:46 is wearing a berried alive shirt, you can definitely tell Charles' influence in his playing, at least I can. Mad props. Berried Alive is also amazing. Tone and everything.
fr
Berried Alive are so under rated
Noah Crenshaw was a winner last year with a BA shirt and playing style as well. It's awesome to see Charles playing influencing guitarists.
I was thinking the same, glad you posted that ahah!
down to the camera angle too
Shit!!! Kirill Mazhuga gets my vote. To have this much variety, tones and techniques in such a short solo is a sign of active imagination 🤘🏻
Also the dude's last name is Meshuggah.
3:57 shocked to see myself as the first video Jared watched. Jared, thanks for your kind words. I can't even imagine how incredible all these guitar players are.
good shit.
U are a monster man. And sick V.
Killed it man!
Bunty, you're NO JOKE, an incredibly sick talent!
My MAN! We need to know the name of that sexy axe you were shredding lol
I believe the guy in the "coliseum" was filming in Red Rocks (Colorado).
As an older generation guitar player, it's encouraging to see guitar isn't dying out and the younger generation is letting it fly. 🤘
Absolutely is at redrocks CO 😊
How does he not instantly recognize Red Rocks? Legendary venue!
@@ampthebassplayer had the same thought lol
So many great players to discover!
I LOVE when this series comes back each year!
🤘🔥💀🔥🤘
The best thing about this contest is that, in my feed at least, at least 5-10 solos appear every single day. This has been probably the best thing you've done in terms of community showcasing. Cheers to you man, one of the OGs and one of the best metal/guitar UA-camrs out there, even after all these years and burnouts. Wish you all the best for all the years to come!!
Thanks for having me Jared!! Im the dude at 16:01! Im glad i got to be featured next to such MIND BLOWING guitar players ❤
Totalno razbio, brate! I tehnika i melodija...
Hahahahahah hvala ti najlepse brate! Neki ljudi ovde su nenormalni bili tako da mislim da nema sanse da pobedim ali sam presrecan sto sam uopste u videu😅(ne gine jedna vaspitna hahahaha) Pozdrav ❤!
I came across your video, there was a lot of amazing entries!
I'm really happy you made the list!
@@juicedpus So am i! Thank you very much!!♥️♥️♥️
opa... da ih icepas brate :D
Adam (from Hong Kong), Max Van Esch, Oliver Christian, Renne Haapanen were the only ones that made me move my eyebrows
🥹🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you!!
Much love and respect to Jared. I remember subbing to you when you had just a little over 100k subs, doing silly videos (to which by the way I still come back from time to time to have a little nostalgic laugh) and now look at you, using your platform to pave the way for so many talented musicians. Even though only handful of them will make it to The Grand Collab you still give all of them an opportunity to shine a little in these videos. God bless you mate.
Keep'em coming! Please show us all of them!
**PLEASE UPVOTE SO JARED MAY SEE IT**
I have an idea about this. You could have a championship with rounds, which would make a series. In each episode you have a guest like Nik, or Rudy, or any other UA-camr, and you watch let's say 250 together and pick 10 players (just an example) to get to the next round, or to the finals. That's already 6 qualification rounds (6x250=1500). After that you can have the finals with all the UA-camrs together and pick the winners in a livestream maybe. I think it would be very fun, and beneficial for everyone participating, including the players and the viewers as well.
up
Get lost
No because what if there are many good guitarists in one of the 250’s but in another 250 they’re all mid, you’ll lose out on them.
up
@@-guitarhero Let me highligh a very important part: just an example. It means, that what I wrote was just an example. The point is the concept, If Jared likes it, he will decide how many is good, and only he knows how many videos he wants to make.
Do you know how MANY guitarists I’ve listened to recently because of this?!?!?
Props, Jared!
So you know, I didn’t believe you for one fucking second
It's how I found Tremaine from last years 😂 he became one of my favorite new players!
@@karterestill Did you see Syndrone too? They actually did a collab and I immediately got a quote on one of those crazy 31 Fret 7-Strings he plays a full-step down!
FX Xexcen just wow. Him, Rene Haapanen and Adam from Hong Kong are my personal favorites
22:02 Very nice! Quick fingers, pure sound. Well done Renne!
I love how every year people get more and more creative with their solos and videos and everything.
22:07 Renne Haapanen. I loved his chord progression with the solo on it. Very lovely progression. Made me want a whole song.
Renne Haapanen, very cool, very fast fingers…incredible style!
Totally awesome guitarsolo by Finnish flash Renne Haapanen💪
You're awesome for doing this! I've been watching these since it started and they definitely deserve the recognition.
Modern UA-cam musicians are next level for sure! Over 9000! Lol
I'm loving this whole event \m/
Imagine the countless talents hidden away, practicing in secret. Keep on shredding!
My goal for next year is to become good enough and submit an entry to this
Best of luck! Gonna try my best to hone the chops and participate as well.
Adam from Hong Kong deserves to be in for doing, let’s be honest, something completely different from everyone else.
💯
His sh*t was Super Sik & Tight, I 2nd
Thank you for doing this! Thank you for showcasing everyone even though it is a lot of work for you!
I love watching guitarists facial expressions when they play and it is as if they're singing the notes. Great stuff in here.
Renne Haapanen: Fantastic! Renne is the best👍I like this.
My favorites from this video are the guy from Hong Kong and Renne, but especially the former
Didn’t enter cause I’m a drummer but this is a big move man! Glad to see someone in the light sharing it with unknown artists!! Hell yeah dude!! I hope this kind of energy spreads! ❤
13:58 I love Max Van Esch’ entry for the multifinger tap on the same string which is really hard, especially with low gain. Very impressive
My Favs are:
Chuck Dietz
FX Hexcen
Kirill Mazhuga
Andrea Ferrero
Marcell Aritonang
Marcus Lembidakis
Max Van Esch
Mladen Mladenovic
Oliver Christian
Renne Haapanen
Thanks a lot ♥️ -Mladen
Thank you!
From the bottom to the top, yes. Renne Haapanen is the best.😊
Thank you so much! Im glad you like it
The standouts for me were Max Van Esch, Kirill Mazhuga, Michael Lygouras, Oliver Christian, R&M Covers, Renne Hasanen Michael Davin Glover, Marcus Lembidakis
Thank you!!
Thanks a lot man❤
now that i’ve watched it again, i can be sure that Renne’s solo was incredible
My vote goes to Renne too
@@terhihaapanen2435Thanks mom♥️ and random guy
Who’s this Renne Haapanen guy? That was awesome! Voting for him definitely. This guys a virtuoso in the true meaning of the word🔥!
And he comes from a small country called Finland!
I find it really cool the influence you can hear in some of these people's submissions! The 15 year old (aptly wearing a Berried Alive shirt) definitely sounded like Berried Alive with that whammy. Adam(from Hong Kong) was also playing an Abasi 8 string and started with thumping. Very cool to see the inspiration shine through!
Thanks man I appreciate that they are my biggest influence
I noticed the Abasi guitar with the thumping too of Adam(from Hong Kong)!
I also find it fascinating seeing all the influence, and some very talented people who are probably influential to musicians close to them!
Hey everyone! Oliver Christian here...or better saying: THE SAMBA VERSION GUY! (19:19) 😂😁It's really awesome to be featured in this video. I hope Jared and you all enjoyed the soloing! Thank you ❤❤
Michael Lygouras stood out to me. A great mix of shred/note selection/melody.
Thank you very much❤
Jared...thank you for what you do for musicians everywhere. Seriously. You are one of my favorite people on the internet because of what you have done for our genre.
Seriously, and also from guitarists everywhere...thank you for caring bro.
Respect 🎸
Adam from hong kong
Andrea Ferrero
The 15 yo dude
The 16 yo dude
Oliver Christian should just be in the shred collab by default every year PERIOD.
You guys are welcome to check my entry. Hope you enjoy it.
Thank you!!
@liverplate seriously you rock bro. Such a great inspiration for this community.
@4:30 That’s at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. It is a famous concert stage that is built into natural rock formations and has amazing acoustics and scenery. The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, U2 and The Grateful Dead have played there.
I figured someone had already left the answer to the 2nd entries location and bingo I saw you first.
Renne has skill and attitude!👍
Very weell done Jared! This way even if they don't get into the top ten, we still get to experience their talent! Thank you for everyone giving it a shot! Also my favourites are Marcus Lembidakis, Kirill Mazhuga and FX Hexcen.
8:06 Adam ❤❤❤
08:06 my fav
Wow the thumping by Adam from Hong Kong was sick! The way he combines those sick thumping and killer riffs is mind-blowing. 🤘🎸🔥
thanks so much 🥹😭🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
7:29 the spoooooooooooooooooon!!!
he's feeding the guitar some water to cool it down
Mr. Dine, Dude, Thank you for doing this. Letting so many amazing musicians use your platform to showcase their talents. That is mighty kind of you. You're a good man. Stay well. Stay True. Love from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Andrea Ferrero was sick, really making that strandberg scream. Michael Lygouras was very nice as well. All of them are incredible, far better than I could do, but those 2 really stood out to me.
i just came here to write that!! I love hers!!
Thanks a lot man❤
Cool! So many great guitarists here in Hong Kong. Great to see one out in the wild!🎉❤ My votes :
Max Van Esch
Adam from Hong Kong
Mazhuga Kirill
14:08 Max had the Guthrie’ish licks on point
Im old and been playing a long time. These kids coming up just blow me away at this shred stuff. Its so cool to see the bar being raised so much.
Wow Renne Haapanen(?), wow that was some interesting stuff, he gets my vote
Extremely honoured to be in this video dude! so much cool submissions and it's so dope you're giving guitarists a platform to do some sick weedlieweedlies on ♥️
loved your guthrie style licks
@@acdclexu6296 thankyou ♥️ he's a huge inspiration to me
Dude, your intro made me come down here to see if you were here before I even finished your whole take. That was super sick.
@@DoubleDguitar Thankyou so much bro
Mr your solo was nasty sauce
Fuckin Awesome Jared! Thanks for letting us hear them all with you. I love listening to all these shredders!!! Going to watch the rest of the videos as I’m able. Talkin about this on our podcast again Wed 8pm. We talked about Music Mansion which was Killer!!!
There are SO many talented peolple around the world and you are doing a great job collecting some of it! What a community!!
There are way too many good players here, so I'm gonna go with what stood out to me on first listen:
Adam (From Hong Kong) for a distinct approach to the melody.
Andrea Ferrero for the sick feel on those bends.
Oliver Christian for having two first nam- I mean, for the ridiculous tap slides.
Thaaaanks!!
Legit chills from the Ferrero Bends (capitalize both, she owns those now)
This is a great idea! I will for sure watch all these videos, it is so cool seeing so many talented people!!
Sorry to use your post to repost my just now comment idea. But I want it to get traction cause good idea is good idea 😂
“vid series of entry reactions where you and the comments judge best of the vid series # then at the end the final video is the winner of each of the vids in the series. For a comment tally of the final winner vs your opinion reveal between the finalist series. ❤”
@@libertyordeath7006 That is actually a super good idea!!!!!
Elias Oliver
FX Hexcen
Adam (from Hong Kong)
Kirill Mazhuga
Andrea Ferrero
Luke Bailey
Max Van Esch
Daniel Nguyen
Oliver Christian (samba version)
R&M Covers
It was extremely difficult not to vote for "6 hours of shred". Let there be 10 for each Jared video, and after all - the game wil getting harder 10 times ...
Thanks!
Good luck bro! These are all outstanding
This is a fantastic solution! I watched a least 300 of these and thought, "Damn, this is going to be difficult for Jared to just pick 25." So many fantastic players this year.
I honestly love having other musicians more frequently featured, Musicians Mansion and ideas like it are a very interesting and exciting direction for this channel, hope to see more!
There were so many that ended their solo in a way that had me wanting to hear what came next. Great work everyone!
That guy Rick with the “no excuse” situation had an amazing whammy bar technique and had ultimate control with his phrasing at the end there! Bravo Rick. We are all bowing to you Sir
Thank you
davin glover deserves it fr, bros actually insane and has far surpassed most people’s guitar skill at just 15 years old. its actually crazy
I've been playing for almost 30 years and that kid absolutely destroys me. Like I'm not even close lol
This is super cool to give all these people a shout out like this and look forward to the reaction series lol as much as its a weird genre of UA-cam I would watch a reaction series of jared dines and friends seeing people shred and giving props and roasting people as needed
Jared you are a lot of fun, dude. I really appreciate this video and I am excited to learn more about what you have in your content catalog. "Content catalog", how cool is that?! It's like a new show to watch, your channel. I just discovered you, and subscribed :)
These kids absolutely RIPPING on the strings at such a young age is ridiculous. Yet another year to get pumped for the shred collab, my favorite youtube video of the year!
the fake out i thought you were gonna do is "so I asked some friends to help me with it."
1 video - 25 entries of 1500 oof. This contest may end up being longer than Trey Xavier's song writing contest. Probably best to do a few live streams listening to them all.
Reactions/comments/timestamps:
04:14 - that V is literally a flying V 😂.
04:30 - dig those pants/leggings
05:10 - hell yeah you can shred on a keyboard!
05:45 - this kid can shred more than i ever could. keep at it and he'll definitely go far wtf. i also agree with jared's reactions
06:33 - slowed it down to make it heavier, i dig this. great entry.
07:20 - spoon man, come together with your hand and guitar. also loved how he changed the track
08:07 - thumb thumper ruled
08:50 - very tasteful mustache, oh and solo too. love it! lots of feeling of a song from this than how many notes you can play a second.
09:25 - wall of guitars probably still plays just one. seriously though, this one was awesome.
10:15 - probably the best entry yet! great backing track! i kinda wanna hear the rest of this song now lol. also amazing lighting this is a pro level music video!
11:20 - first female guitarist, and she kills it!
12:09 - distorted acoustic, dig this a lot.
12:45 - finger picking def need more of this in the contest!
13:23 - head tattoos. this guy is not human and actually an alien. not because of the tattoos but because he's great!
14:00 - this guy did his own backing tracks which just totally changed genres from the metal he was sent, then added this joe satriana like vibe on top of it that's super melodic and shreddy. super tasteful.
14:40 - you could say the guitar was a banger.
15:17 - no face had some great melody and vibe here!
16:00 - 'mlady' with an extended nice clean break
17:22 - kids these days are more and more talented than any other generation ❤. Someone please buy this kid a good camera he deserves it!
18:40 - rule #2 does not apply to him.
19:15 - the genre bending continues! samba metal! \m/ great job! love the out of the box thinking and creativity on entries like this.
20:50 - this gym studio guitarist is pretty cool and created some really interesting melodies and used a wammy bar tastefully.
21:30 - great shredding, could use a bit more melody the one teased towards the end with the harmonies was awesome. wanted it to keep going!
22:09 - fun tapping shred with some cool melody.
22:50 - dig the added percussion and triangle, but could have used more cowbell. great melodies here, was singing them after it ended.
Thanks, man, I appreciate the feedback) maybe I'll write the whole track out of this)
Thanks!!
No face guy here😂 thanka a lot mate❤
Yeah, wall of guitar guys here, (3 walls actually) and no I play a good chunk of them. Every tool has its purpose, tuning, and feel. Also, thank you, I try.
@@jeffreliantmensch woah that's a lot of guitars! glad you can make use of them all! I had 5 guitars at one point and loved 2 so much i just stuck with them, now i just play one electric. and yeah i totally get the tuning thing, especially if you have a floyd rose or other locking tuners.
Jared you should do these as livestreams! More immediate audience interaction and I feel like you could cover a lot more ground that way too.
Crazy seeing Chuck at the beginning. That dude does some great stuff and also has the best "Crazy Guitar Solo" video on the platform from a decade ago. Love seeing him still around.
Holy shit! This idea is awesome. There is this point where there are just too many entries and if it didn´t come now, it would come sometime. But now we can all listen together! Awesome
Davin Glover should enter for sure, there are a lot of people that play really well in here, but he just makes something different
That’s my history partner💪🏽💪🏽
Was familiar and fresh at the same time
This is a great idea! I'll comment and like along the way to support. Bunty had an awesome flying V, Chuck killed it at red rocks, CLockwork was a great keyboard player, Davin Killed it, Elias had the best modification, Adam had the best slapping, I love FX Hex's guitar, Lukas is a killer guitarist, Jeffery's guitar collection is out of this world, Most creative goes to Kirill, Andrea gets cleanest shred, Luke is the audience stealer, Marcel was really bluesy, Best tone for Marcus, Max had the most diverse playing, Micheal has the best studio set up and instrument, Michael 2 had the best sweeping and melodics, Mladenhad the best transition, Daniel blew all of our minds (of course), Nicola breaks boundaries by learning bass, Oliver had the best slides, Peter had the best use of a whammy bar, Best showman was RnM, Renne has the best use of scales, Sam went outside the box.
Thanks man❤
I appreciate the “out of this world” guitar collection. I’ve just played forever and have a crazy addiction, apparently, Thanks man.
Awesome to see viewer interaction like this! Keep it coming!
very nice to see such amazing musicians, cheers from Brazil!
I vote Renne Haapanen amazing guitarist all around.🎸
And an amazing person also.
That 15 yo Davin kid was insane, he made that sound fretless. Those harmonies were so futuristic and clean……kid definitely has his own unique tone…well done man, I was satisfied playing things like The Pumpkins and Bush at 15, thought I was good at the time 😆 …. This guy is in another dimension.
Sustaniac + whammy bar = fretless hack 😈
Thanks man
@@DavinGloveryou absolutely blew my mind. My mouth was still open 6 guitarists after. Keep it up, you have true talent.
I didn’t even get my first electric til I was 17, lowkey jealous of the kids who got started early.
But I could’ve started at 5 and still wouldn’t be playing what he’s doing
he probably started really young and practiced a lot
and with all the tools today he probably is happy and has motivation to play 8 hours a day

Seems sped up
22.07 Renne Haapanen 🔥🔥🔥
Krill and the girl after were incredible and are probably my favourites
Micheal Lygouras is my favorite entry. Flawless technique, perfect melody and the guitar solo is FOR the music and fit very well in the song. Incredible job!

My vote goes to Renne Haapanen @ 22.10 IS just slaying IT😍😍😍 definetely The best!!!!!!
Loved the keyboard solo!
It’s folks like Davin that make me grateful I only picked up guitar to accompany my voice. I’ve been playing since he was born and he’s beyond anything I can amount to instrumentally. Incredible skills.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL IDEA!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Adam from Hong Kong's 8:06. I'm absolutely blown away! His thumb technique is truly extraordinary. It's not every day you come across such skill and mastery. His performance is really 'sick' and takes guitar playing to another level. Can't wait to hear more from him.
Lol I’ve yet to see anybody thump on a abasi guitar and be bad at it tbf
It's just the old Vic Wooten technique. That is where Tosin got it.
Renne is a fast and creative musician, a great coach and a cool guy, thumbs up! 😎
A lot of people here have insane chops and interesting ideas. Kudos.
1500 enterys and some how all of them are absolute bangers. Good luck Jared, this is going to be tuff!
