      Inoeraonaly know local.uusicians as good if not as better..
      He just got lucky like many others..
      And yes he's awesome.
      But he sucks because he's using transistors into a tube amp..
      It isn't the amp it's him. Amd the transistors..
      But I enjoy watching my tube amp values climb as I use nothing but an amped pedal board.
      Nope no modelers..the amped 3 does it all and more..

      I had kinda convinced myself I didn’t like him. I don’t particularly like his music and his drama kid vibe bothered me. But once he explained his painted f holes and I realised he was just a guitar nerd I instantly liked him.

    Paul is a local boy made good. Started hearing about this kid who lived down the road who was amazing. By the time I started getting more pieces of the puzzle as to who this "Kid" was, off he was, for California. He turned out to be one of my biggest guitar influences.

    Paul came into Five Star Guitars where I work and we had a great conversation and he played and sang Doobie Brothers for me. It was pretty surreal to say the least but what an incredibly kind and warm person he is to be around. I love the hell outta that guy!

    I love that Paul Gilbert is a guitar fan as much as anybody else. He is a legitimate great but he nerds out over players and their sound just like the rest of us.

    Riff historian meets pedal archivist! Such a powerful educational duo!
    Also: Mayo goes on the bread because it has a flat topography and rough texture (essentially "bubbles" in the bake) that accommodates an even and controllable distribution with a knife. Putting it on an uneven and impermeable surface produces inconsistent results.
    Mind, if you're applying mayo from a squeeze bottle without the assistance of a knife afterward, the results are probably "good enough" AND you don't have an extra utensil to clean later!

    i was never really into paul gilbert until i did more research this past year. never thought i liked his tone, but ive grown to love his sound. he can make anything sound good!

    Andy Timmons. WOW SO GLAD TO HEAR SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME SAY HIS NAME! By far hands down one of the best guitar players in terms of melodies and harmonies. His solos always fit songs well and have tons of flash and skill! DANGER DANGER IS UNDERRATED!

    I used to be an electrician. I stole my first pedal board out of the freezer of a popeyes I was working in as an apprentice. It was just a wire rack that I ziptied and stapled a few pieces of wood to so it would sit at an angle.

    pro tip after much experimentation :
    It you are packing a sandwich to eat later at e.g. the beach or a picnic, and want to keep the bread crispier - THAT'S when you want to put mayo and mustard between meat and cheese or more generally towards the middle of sandwich and away from bread

      You can also put the mayo on the bread like a normal person and toast it on a pan with the mayo on.

      Pack your sandwiches only partially assembled. Put mayo on bread immediately prior to consumption.
      No good will come from such chaos that you promote.😉

    Paul is one of the best proofs that if you commit to something you can master it! He mastered the athleticism guitar playing, the more soulful approach and rips the slidly slide guitar! Awesome episode! And tbh, no mayo on the sandwich, mustard only!
