Holy crap someone who still plays legacy edition! My friends and I played a whole ton over Covid quarantine. We made a crazy survival world on PS4 edition with underwater bases and all sorts of cool stuff. The only thing I wish now is that I can get legacy edition on switch so I can play it wherever I go. It’s good to see people who still enjoy the legacy console edition of the game. What I also find great is that Xbox one edition still supports transferring and converting worlds from Xbox 360. So you can make a crazy modded world on Xbox 360 edition and then transfer it to the Xbox one. Unfortunately Microsoft forced ps4 edition’s world transfer from psvita and ps3 edition to be cancelled with the bedrock update.
It's so annoying that the Switch version of LegCon was only available digitally, and it's since been removed from the eShop. Without modding, it's impossible to play.
unfortunately, with the world transfer thing - you can’t actually open 360 worlds on xb1 edition (at least, if you played it once on latest update), as it’ll come up with a popup about how xb1 doesn’t have the aquatic update.

There's a lot of people playing throughout Switch,xbox and PS3. I play on the PS3 version and don't plan on ever leaving Legacy till I'm the last player.
@@octaaka4757 Not true. Java's easier to code, with the downside that only desktop operating systems fully support it. C++ is much harder to code, but it's easier to port to other places (ex: Android, iOS, consoles)
As a person who still consistently plays on legacy to this day i do have aome glitches and corrections i wanna add. First of all, no need to get bedrock through these complicated methods, just max out the amount of snow golems so that all future ones break and the place 2 snow blocks next to eachother next to any bedrock and imagine the bedrock is it’s head, it has to be in any of the negative directions (-y,-z,-x) and then place a pumkin one block after where it would ussualy be, so after the bedrock. The snow golem will break. The pumpkin will stay and the bedrock will drop. Also you said that only the nether has a see through floor, no, the overworld has that too, to get under the overworld break a nether portal as you are entering it and with the right timing you will no clip through the floor and if the portal is on bedrock you will be under the world Great Vid ❤

Hi, does the trapped chest dupe glitch still work. Bash it till it breaks, force close then restart, items are doubled. Asking as I have the old minecraft too

After travelling to the end cities, you cant go back. I lost my entire inventory in survival. And I once saw a weird block with the word „update“ written on it
I believe you must you go through the end gateways to get back to the main island, as in the legacy console editions (at least for 360) there is an invisible barrier blocking the main end island from the end cities

idk why no one ever talks about this one but the trapdoor glitch is a pretty cool one: just power an iron trapdoor then move it with a piston, the trapdoor will remain open. Placing blocks next to it wont cause it to get updated, but powering and then depowering it will

1:58 you don't even consume the banner if you do this in survival mode, so it essentially gives you a free black banner. Probably because the game thinks that the limit has been reached, since attempting to place a banner when the limit of 400 has been reached of course doesn't consume the banner. If you do the same thing in Java Edition 1.12.2, you will consume the banner unlike on Legacy Console Edition, though it drops a black banner as well.

I tried in end too and see loot dont changes. Probably same in nether too. Also find weird fetures that can keep you from dying in lava or void and lose your items. Have you ever seen "super squid". When i was playing on my xbox 360 sometimes i encountered a flying squid which was unkillable and unstopabble. It was very fun to see squid flying through your world but i cant find any informations about that glitch in the internet
The “random crashes” are due to a mistake in the games code, and appear to occur more often the longer you play on a world. This can usually be triggered either from a mob being damaged or changing dimensions, but some cases have been caused by other things.
By dropping a water bucket or door right before placing them will make a “ghost block” which only you can interact with. This has some uses, but disappears when chunks aren’t loaded or you leave. This happens on the platform I play on (Wii U), however I would assume it works in other legacy versions too
5:00 in my survival world there should be a mansion but it didnt spawn😢 Btw if you change texture packs (it works with some, not all of them) and do the invisible skeleton head glitch, you get a glitched dragon head
5:20 Did you expand the world size after the witch hut has been generated? On Classic and Small world sizes witch huts seem to generate in different locations than on Medium and Large (same thing with villages and woodland mansions). I think there is an issue in Legacy Console Edition, where it doesn't save the bounding boxes of structures or something. I think it just uses the locations, where structures would generate to have mobs spawn there. I have seen a video saying that pillagers can spawn in existing chunks on PS4, where a pillager outpost would generate but didn't because the chunks were generated before pillager outposts were added. (Cannot find it anymore.) Similarly, after they made ocean monuments more common in TU54, guardians started spawning in a location in existing chunks for me, where there was no ocean monument. (An ocean explorer map has lead me to this place too.)
Its because legacy Minecraft had a gamma slider that made it super easy to see in the dark if you turned it all the way up, so most legacy players have it up all the way for convenience

I found an insane glitch There is a version of minecraft legacy (I think title update 13 or 12 im not sure) but if you had a second controller and a second account you could do something weird If you go offline and go into tu 13 or 12 (just find the disc with that version and delete the updated version to get tu 12 or 13) then you want to make a new world grab items that would effect players and put them in a chest (for experiments) and you want to build an end portal frame then go into survival and then make player 2 join in and make them go up high and make them jump in but as they are about to enter make them leave the game (like just as they are about to enter) and if the game chat says player left the game and after that it said player entered the end then you did it you summoned a broken player also you might want to join and leave then sign in on different accounts then make them leave to actually make the player visible (this is not fake me and my friend accidentally did this we didn’t know that would happen) the player itself is player 2 but isn’t at the same time now if you want the player in the overworld you do the same thing its more complicated for some reason I don’t know why

0:32 actually ps4/one legacy versions are one update behind 360, ps3 (idk about wii u) due to the fact bedrock was releasing on ps4/one so they left it right before aquatic, 360 and ps3 got up to aquatic since they werent getting bedrock anyway
Ps4 got the village and pillage update since sony did not like the idea of cross-play, hence the game got updated a bit longer than any other legacy edition.
The skeleton skull resets when the host leaves or they stop being in rendered chunks. This is due to it having a negative damage value, which resets to 0 when unloaded. You also forgot to mention that putting it on makes your head invisible
Playing on the latest version of Wii U and can confirm the 1st one works. The chest has to be naturally generated, and if you open the chest, the dupe breaks. Still good for buried treasure, nether fortresses, villager blacksmiths, and end cities

I remember a glitch where you could remove 1 obsidian from a nether portal and it would not regenerate, does anyone else remember how to do this? All I remember is breaking the obsidian while going through the portal.

I have the same problem, for me the music still plays in the background but I can’t access the PlayStation menu. I think it has to do with the game trying to generate the world before hand, but then it overrides when you enter that menu. It has also happens to me while in the menu switching to the second part of it.
@@malthemontin5637 Yep, same problem. Everything freezes, music still plays, can't open menu, and it does it when you either first enter "more options", or switch to the host options menu in more options. We have literally exactly the same problem, glad I'm not alone there

xbox one edition is weird. The version before it got to the aquatic update and this only got to the colored beds update. idk I'm still happy to say I've been playing minecraft for so long I have a discontinued version of it.

In console legacy edition ps4 if you find one treasure map and find another of the same it will just crash the game for some reason.

The glitch with using fantom items in crafting recipes like shovels and bows also works with fishing rods to make infinite carrots on a stick

One time I was playing the Wii U version, I hit a pig, then my game crashed, and I thought it was the funniest shit ever.
Here's which glitches work on PS4:
Glitch 1 works
Glitch 2 destroys the bedrock but doesn't drop it
Glitch 3 works
Glitch 4 works
Glitch 5 works
Glitch 6 doesn't work
Glitch 7 works and here's another use: infinite durability for tools after it breaks until you open inventory
Glitch 8 idk how to go there
Glitch 9 doesn't work
Glitch 10 works
Glitch 11 works and is commonly used for pvp here lol
I had a rare crash on PS3 a couple years ago which corrupted the world, all I remember is there was at least 1 other player and I was in a bubble column
Didn't test the rest
Bonus glitch: On PS3 and 360 you can crash the game using a specific setup involving a door, button and piston

My game has like a 1/5 chance of freezing when you click "more options" when creating a new world. I play on ps3.
I have the same problem, for me the music still plays in the background but I can’t access the PlayStation menu.
I think it has to do with the game trying to generate the world before hand, but then it overrides when you enter that menu. It has also happens to me while in the menu switching to the second part of it.
@@malthemontin5637 Yep, same problem. Everything freezes, music still plays, can't open menu, and it does it when you either first enter "more options", or switch to the host options menu in more options. We have literally exactly the same problem, glad I'm not alone there

@@Xonida_NcTroller hy, if your only problem is this the disc isn’t the problem. I’ve had two discs both with the same problem. One on a fat ps3 and one on a slim

xbox one edition is weird. The version before it got to the aquatic update and this only got to the colored beds update. idk I'm still happy to say I've been playing minecraft for so long I have a discontinued version of it.

I’m not sure if I’m doing it right but the natural chest spitting items out glitch doesn’t seem to work on Xbox 360
I could not get the chest glitch to work on Minecraft switch edition, which is the oldest legacy
I forgot to mention it will only work if the chest hasn't been opened by a player yet

So I tested the chest being moved by piston on xbox one edition un updated this is straight download from the disc and it doesn't move the chest
Yeah because chest only started moving pistons after TU60 to match Bedrock
You can use snowman to get bedrock in survival too tbh 1:12
