The console (legacy) editions of Minecraft have many versions of itself. But one common feature shared throughout every version is the inclusion of a tutorial world on how to teach you to play the game. Today, we'll be looking back at these tutorial worlds, and how they have grown, and updated over the years.

I'll be honest, this thing has completely changed the trajectory of my entire life. I don't make Minecraft content anymore, but this video has kept me afloat during hard times where I couldn't upload myself by just existing. The amount of things this video has brought me is genuinely immeasurable to anything I have ever gotten prior and I am forever grateful for every one of you who thought it was worth watching. Looking back, I don't think it holds up nearly as much as my new stuff, but I'll always appreciate this as one of the biggest stepping stones in me figuring out my style haha!

This video hit hard. TU19 and TU31 are the two I have the fondest memories of.
My best friend and I played the TU19 world so much back in the day. We loved that castle so much. I remember how much we hung out that summer and played together. TU19 already has intense nostlagia for me.
TU31... I can't even begin to describe how memorable it is to me. That's the time my dad started playing Minecraft (he played in creative a bit previously but survival is what really got him into the game - we actually have two worlds we still play on together, one on my switch, and the other is our server on Java), and the TU31 tutorial world became our survival world. Unfornately around 2018 that world was corrupted - there could be a possible way to get it back but I don't have much hope anymore for that. We built so much on that world together.
I still remember how excited I was for TU31. I counted down the days until it released... I think I was just as excited for the update as much as Christmas, which is an impressive feat for an 8 year old. Christmas 2015... how I wish I could go back. The major updates around Christmas time were always so much fun...
Now, I'm in my last two years of high-school, and I'll be an adult relatively soon. I have so many memories of Legacy Console on my family's PS3. I don't think I'll ever forget.
Going through these old memories, this video... is comforting to me. It's sad... but comforting at the same time. I'm not writing this comment to trauma dump, but my mom has been fighting cancer since 2020, and now it's stage 4 and she can no longer walk. I find myself longing for, well... when I was happy, and wasn't forced to mature early. But I digress...
I'll never forget Minecraft's impact on my life.

Tu11 was the best for me. I remember being 9 or so and always visiting my friend to play minecraft together on his xbox 360 (didn't have one myself), we made some great nostalgic memories together. We were constantly creating new worlds though. I moved a while ago and haven't been able to contact him for 4 years now, bht the memories still have a special place inside my heart ❤
I never even got to play those versions of the tutorial but the way you describe it and seeing this video makes me jealous lol. I only ever played TU11 and 12. I'm so happy you have such fond memories on this game, as I do too. Thank you for sharing. I'm 21 now and highschool feels like it was a few months ago, lol. It doesn't sound like your situation is easy to enjoy life in, but please try as much as possible. I was going through alot my last few years of highschool and I'd still go back just to be around my old friends and family again. I'm so sorry about your mom and you having to grow up too fast :/ It's cheesy, but try to keep your head up. The world is cruel and you can either let it beat you down or show it you'll keep getting up. Stay strong 💪

I grew up with the TU12 version, and let me just tell you that while you were walking up the stairs, around the house, over the sign and into the castles and buildings. I reminisced of my Steve avatar crafting, building the two golems, fighting the spiders and zombies outside, breeding the animals and going in that jungle into the distance with my fragile boat. Thank you for remind me of a time for adventure and discovery. Yes yes I know that world, it’s lonely castle, abandoned buildings and villages are long lost, but it will always be a part of me and thank you for helping me remember the wonderful past. Thank you.

Maaan, I really wish all or most of these tutorial worlds could be added to the modern Bedrock version as free downloads in the store. The scripted tutorial pop-ups don't need to be kept, but the fun and nostalgia is so baked into them that they still hold up and stand out.

Tu12 was my first and there are actually a lot of secrets
Like secret Ender chest, a sewer, all the disks, Ender portal puzzle, and cute little cannons
Tu19 is my favorite
I loved the steamy island and it’s just straight nostalgic
Tu31 is good and I loved exploring it and there’s a secret campfire
Tu41 is also just an amazing map and it was super cool and that’s what made the game fun
Tu70 marked the end of all the memories and it’s sad to let it go but that’s what matters letting go
I will miss it

I made my own Stampy's garden. Who knows what happened to that world
I put my name in it and then blew it up. It's a tradition to blow up every inch of a tutorial world.

I once played with my brother on split screen and we created a diamond and emerald block house over the place and it was weirdly nostalgic when I see that..

My first time playing Minecraft was in 2014 on the Xbox 360 edition, and TU12 was my very first tutorial world. And since it was my first tutorial world, I never get bored of its layout and scenery. I even still remember at that time when I built a very large cubical home made out of cracked stone bricks right next to the village on that world. I even made the entire ceiling out of glass with lava behind it. Such good memories I’ll never forget.
TU3 will always be my favourite. So simple. So nostalgic
Same here man not alot of ppl played minecraft as early as us tu3 is where i built my first dirt house with fence windows bc i didnt kno what i was doing and couldn't complete the tutorial so i would jus chill in the center in my limits vibing i also found iron for the first time there as well by mining down five blocks lol then i broke it with my first and got confused when it wasnt in my inventory😂
Same, the simplicity of it makes me feel most nostalgic. True Minecraft vets remembered that back in TU3 there was duplication glitch you could do with a furnace. I used to duplicate diamonds until my chests were full of 64 stacks and I shocked my friends. It was especially impressive back then because the console ports of Minecraft were always behind the version on PC and Xbox edition didn’t get creative mode until a couple updates later. I think this was back before hunger was even a thing and cobblestone still had the classic texture.

TU 70 was always my favorite. Because of nostalgic purposes of course. I feel that this tutorial world made the aquatic update the best update for me. I remember as a little kid playing with my sister making a completely golden castle on a hill in this world. We did all sorts of obscenities and interesting things in this world. If I could only play in 1 world, it would be TU 70.

TU 11 through TU 31 have to be some of the best memories I have playing Minecraft. True childhood nostalgia and takes me back to the golden age of Minecraft

Oh god, Daggz, the Title Update 11 tutorial world hits WAY too hard because that's the legacy console edition *I* started out with, that being the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft. Not only that, but the music in the background too. The nostalgia hits *HARD* with this video.

I haven’t seen many comments mention the secret diamond armour loadout in Title Update 3 world. Finding that hidden chest deep in the water next to the castle is one of my best memories and it was so cool at the time knowing it had all these hidden secrets/mystery.

On my PS4, I can go to old version of minecraft where
I can play on free textures including: Halloween, festival, nightmare before Christmas and others, I could also go play in tutorial map
Also, i couldn’t save the worlds on free textures unless i buy it
Tu 31 was my first tutorial world, but i had a hard time Recognizing it because over the years i had overstated the size of it in my mind. I used to think it was a huge place with tons to explore, but i was shocked to see it again and have it be smaller than my current survival world 😂

As a kid I treated the tutorial worlds like a campaign mode, where my goal was to find all the hidden music disks.
10:18 This Tutorial world isn’t the first tutorial world I’d ever played, but this is the most nostalgic for me… I remember playing this with my Aunt. She is the one who introduced me to Minecraft. I remember being so excited when she would come to my house, and we would play in this world together on my Xbox 360. This tutorial world means so much to me… I wish I could go back to those days…

@Lana Lang bedrock has a whole load of microtransactions for avatar accessories, maps, & texture packs made by community members & teams. It's like the steam workshop except you need money for maps & stuff so you can support the creators of said maps. There might be other changes inherent in this version but I don't really play bedrock edition that much to notice so I think others can give more details.
Legacy edition is your baseline minecraft but it is fitted for consoles. Basically Java edition for consoles except no mod capabilities.
I remember there was another castle place in one of the tutorial worlds, not sure if he skipped the world or not
I think it was a good thing that the Legacy got discontinued, the version was always sooo late from Java. Like it took them at least 2 years to add elytra and shields after Java. I was always so frustrated when i had to wait for so long for the updates, and that's why I started to save on a PC back then.

I have a PS4 and I still play Legacy with my friends all the time, we never play Bedrock, if we do wanna go on new versions we play on Java. I still have a copy of TU19 on my PS4 tat I transferred from my PS3 and I play it sometimes.

Normally I wouldn't talk about nostalgia because I haven't played for as long as others but seeing TU41 for the first time in years is almost making me cry. I remember exploring and flying around the mad because of how amazing I thought it was. If I could revisit this world one last time I 100% would. I'm going to high-school in a few weeks and it feels so weird but I'm really glad you covered this!

One of few videos that I actually shed a tear on. My best childhood moments spent on tutorial worlds building stuff and basing builds off youtubers builds such as Stampy and Cubfan135. Gosh, why have the times flown so fast.

T-31 is the first one I played. I must have put 60 or 70 hours just exploring and adding to that world over around 3 years. I’ve been looking for this for a while so thanks for making this video.
me and my sister used to spend hours in the TU 31 version. rebuilding destroyed houses, making our own and thinking about the next project to build. We basicly rebuild the whole tutorial into our own little world full of storys and memorys. I wholeheartedly believe that this world alone is the reason both me and my sister love playing minecraft and especially building to this day. we just started a new world about two weeks ago and were thinking about our first world.
I honestly needed a moment to recognize the world ,because of how long i havens seen it but also because we rebuild the whole starting area and the surrounding city. So thanks for making this video since i doubt ill be the only one reliving a lot of happy memorys because of this video.

5:24 For anyone wondering, the dispenser used to shoot arrows. I still remember my first time getting shot at. I immediately wanted to figure out how it worked, so I just kept shooting arrows at myself to try and figure it out. Truly some great times 😂

I remember before I got Minecraft on my Xbox I would play the trial one on the 1.11 update. I got Minecraft 4 years ago on my Xbox and got java a bunch of months ago. This stuff also make me cry because I remember so many memories!

The nostalgia hit me so hard, me and my sisters used to wake up early every single day just so we could get on minecraft and play on the tutorial worlds (as well as our other two worlds). We’d create a new one every single time and just vibe while exploring the world and basically have a laugh, I miss it so much and I wish that one day we some how miraculously get our old worlds back and have the nostalgia hit so much harder, I think I’d probably cry because playing this game made (and makes) me so happy. TU11 was the one we started playing on btw :)

This brings back so many memories of three of these tutorial worlds, tu12, 13, and 31 and the most I remember in any of the title updates is I used to always get the diamond under the manor gate
TU20 was by FAR my favorite tutorial world due to the fact i always played in it and I remembered going to a massive beach that had turtle eggs and i always made a house there, just how time passes…
i will remember these moments even if good times have to end.

@@bearable3089 The tu11 one was so surreal to see all these years later. A large part of my late childhood and teen years consisted of this game. Initially having played it on console, I got a wave of nostalgia seeing those familiar builds.
Builds I've since forgotten, but are entrenched somewhere deep.
Man I love Minecraft, and it will forever hold the title as the greatest game ever in my opinion.
If Mojang ever lets us play these old worlds and makes a new one, I will actually scream out loud wherever I’ll be.
Bedrock needs a tutorial world (custom (maybe slightly larger) old style world) for Every new version,just call 4j studios again again)

bro a lot of the ones here made me SOOBBB, i used to explore the tutorial worlds with my brother and our friends all the time on our xbox 360 years ago. i miss it all so much.
TU3 was what first introduced my brother and I to Minecraft. I recall us jumping off the right side of the Redstone bridge castle and swimming to the bottom of the ocean, as there was a hidden cave with a chest that had a set of diamond armor!
I haven’t seen many people mention this in the comments. I also remember doing exactly that,it was such a cool “Easter egg” to the tutorial world. Also when you consider there was no creative mode at the time and I was about 10yrs old so I wasn’t great at finding diamonds,it made it even cooler.

i played the 360 version on day one and tbh the TU3 tutorial stage gives me more nostalgia than any other cause i'd be there for ages just exploring them good times
TU 11 was my first time playing Minecraft, and probably, the map that I played the most. I had a pirated XBox 360 and didnt have XBox Live, so I had to live with that, up until I got the PS4 without PSN, so I had to comfort with TU 12. Still, I had a lot of fun, and im pretty nostalgic about them. After that, I got PSN, and to my surprise, there wasnt any Tutorial world. Wish I could have played more just before the change. You just unlocked so many childhood memories, title update 31 was the first one I ever played and when I saw it now I remember it for the first time in years

When I was like 10. My family bought a PlayStation 4 as a family console. We never got PlayStation plus so my version of minecraft never updated. So while everyone else was experiencing newer features, I was still stuck on that old nostalgic version.

For me, TU12's tutorial world is the one I remember most fondly. I remember playing it on the family Xbox 360 with my dad pretty often, we'd build stuff and have fun for a few hours, then when we eventually had to let it go we'd blow it all up.

TU12 the sandstone village is up the stairs is a recreation of Edinburgh castle Scotland every castle in the tutorials are in Scotland featuring Elian Donnan and Taltalon.
I played TU12’s tutorial world back in the day with my brother and we had good fun and memories on that world. Still have it on my ps3 and I still play on my ps3

i remember being in like third grade and me and my friend and brother discovering the stampy’s world recreation all on our own (cuz we didn’t have computers) and losing our minds. that friend used to come over every day and play minecraft with me and my brother every day until i moved away. seeing the castle brought back so many memories. good times :)
I have no idea how old I was but I started playing at tu5. I'm 21 now and only have very vague memories of what I always thought was a fishing village. I also remember my sudden confusion when my fishing village wasn't there anymore after tu11 dropped. That was a sad day. Also the empty chest past the Gold and iron bridge in tu11 was a music disc if I recall correctly.
For some reason everything tu12 and sooner still feels new to me and I have no idea why or how long ago tu12 was. Seeing the emerald post at the top of the staircase still weirds me out and makes me feel like it's brand new.

I remember when I loved TU31 and was upgrading that little town. I made many new buildings, built tram system and even train railway, roads to all bioms and structures. It brings a lot of nostalgy to me

I love TU11, reminds me of years ago when i would play alone on the xbox 360 for hours on end changing the castle and making different versions, changing bits for what i was feeling at the time. From what i remember i had about 7 different versions but because i've lost the game disc and the hard drive i played on is long gone i'll never truly know.

I never personally rode the minecart ride and even I almost feel nostalgic. But the 10th Anniversary map on bedrock hits harder for me. Just a bit more fun and recaps more of the game so more to be nostalgic about. Just my opinion though.

@TheCube if your looking at the entrance to the castle, should be in the water around the righter most wall. Should be some glow stone around the top that marks the entrance to a tunnel, the end of it should have a double chest if a remember correctly with full diamond armor and tools Been years so could be wrong about the tools but i definitely remember the armor being there
