One time i went through Globus bought a whole cart full of things 18,000 rubles and then when i got outside i saw a little lady coming in and i asked if she spoke english she said yes.. i said you see what is in my cart she said yes.. i said can you use all this? she said yes i said here it's yours all of it.....have a nice day i said. She said no she couldn't take it.. i said i am not from here and i have no place to take this too... so i bought it because i wanted just to give it to a well deserving person. I said i am Native American Indian and in my part of the world we share what we have or buy for the people who need things. i do this back home occasionally too. i said here is receipt so people will not think you stole it.. have a nice day and i walked off. shopping was so much fun thank you for sharing.

    Wow!!This Grocery Shop is fantastic, as there is a wide choice of products. You have a very rich gastronomy department, like in Italy. I also love Ciabatta, even though I usually buy Baguettes as they both are so crusty! Anyway prices were not so different from the Italian ones. In my valley there are some grocery shops but also many little shops that sell specific products and if we want to go to mega department stores we must move towards or nearby Turin. • @bhami
    @bhami 2 роки тому +46

    Wow, that store is world class! Without doing any detailed analysis of your prices, my quick impression is that, compared to the US prices: your bread is dirt cheap, your pineapples are really expensive, the Lindt chocolate is about the same, and your overall total is probably about the same.

    • @Wade__Wilson
      @Wade__Wilson 2 роки тому +15

      To be honest - this is an expensive, premium store. Prices in local stores for the same products are lower.

    • @bhami
      @bhami 2 роки тому +5

      The items I've particularly noted here in Salt Lake City, which is comparable to prices in most of the US, over the past year or so: cucumbers have been crazy cheap (often around two for $1), pineapples have been very reasonable (usually $2.50 to $3 each), and avocados (approx. 2/3 from Mexico and 1/3 from California) have been crazy expensive, roughly double what they were a year ago (now often $1.50 each for medium or large). For the past year, bottled water has been in short supply due to a plastic shortage.

    • @koilamaoh4238
      @koilamaoh4238 2 роки тому +3

      Bread is cheap in the US.. mainly reason bread is cheap cause of "cheap" general ap flour they are all based on 1$-2$. This is basically just cheap "carbs"; even the french bread, or bakery which is cheap flour bread, which russians use too.
      While better quality bread above 3$ like whole grain, like sara lee, wonder kids, has more nutrition(protein, fiber, vita's, cheap bread rarely has this)), a lot more healthier.
      Your probably looking at the "organic"gluten free, msg free, nature, hipster trend kind, where its like 5$ or more lol.. considering its a rip off to buy and a scam.

      This is the most expensive store in the city. Normally you can find groceries at least 20-30% cheaper at any other chain store. As for pineapples, its regular price at any other store would be 2,5 times less.

Russians are inherently aggressive and can't mind their own business especially with neighbors. Slava’s videos are always in for excellent content both visually and in the wording used.
    Especially his final comment as to why he published this video filmed at the beginning of the year shows Slava and his beautiful wife are special people who have experienced the world “outside “ Russia while the vast majority of Russians will never see this. Now, is it still appropriate to give a such a compliment to a person in Russia while “Pjotr the Short” and his minions are trying to divide the people in the country into those being all for his dreadful regime or being “traitors”?
    Anyway, it’s good to see Slava and Lena are continuing to produce excellent content from outside Russia. Let’s hope their exodus will not last too long until they can return to their home country.
