I'd never put any relation to why I am such a light sleeper and why I am so anxious at night till I had seen this podcast. I now understand that my bed was not a safe place due to the abuse from my step father, thanks so much for sharing your story and giving some insight so I can find some closer ❤️

This has got to be my all time most favourite video ans i have watched thousands. I felt you were both talking just to me. At 60 i have just realised how lost i am in this beautiful life that has been gifted to me. Mel you have honestly come into my life through a divine intervention at the right time. My journey through a new chapter in my life has now given me hope. Thank you from the bottom of my empty heart.

I’m listening to this in what we know as “procrastination “
    Stage… in bed.
Today I didn’t want, have, must get out of bed.
    So I stayed here.
I didn’t go into work either.
(Mumma’s cancer is back. I don’t know how to do this again with a time frame !!)
How I’m coping is all up to me. I don’t have friendships like I used to. Atm I don’t have any one I can call and let out all this stuff.
So today I said I want to just sleep.
I know it’s coz it’s a time space where I’m not present, awake to hear pain, dealing with matters piling up.
I do work from 5pm till any time up to 3am.
I’m even doing a job that makes me feel ashamed.
I’m trained in many different things.
But none of those careers would open up to a females or it’s all done in computers nowadays. So it judges me more than I do.
Applying for jobs I love and can do. But my resume doesn’t resonate with the algorithm.
So I’m here listening to this video and I feel stuck here.
But if Mum needs me and I go!
I need me to find strength for me. I will shower walk my new best friend 🐶on the beach. Do duties at home.
But gosh I’m so confused inside. There’s heaps more to this.. it’s many things you talk about in other videos.
I get a power push in evenings. Day time is the worst.
I used to be such a positive out going person. 2012 up until now has been a down hill loveless space. So much hurt and suffering in that time.
If it happened it was happening to me. I still can’t believe it’s all happened 😔
I’m not meant to be “sharing the pain” making self get appreciated for what I’ve gone thru. Coz no one will .
So the “high 5 second rule”
I want it to work.. can’t afford the book so I’m watching where I find YT videos.
Here’s wishing I had another to share this with..
I even have asked others ( friends before they ghosted me) if they know about dark knight of the soul.. I got this ☠️!!
Shits me how others are so emotionally constipated .
It’s 35 degrees hot here in Adelaide Australia …
Where are my legs today 😢

Ugh...so much I'd want to say and ask them in person. I'll just ask this for now...is it normal to not feel a thing when high fiving the mirror? I have no problem doing it, I can look at myself in the mirror every morning and high five myself for days.
I don't feel anything though, same with the 5 second countdown for negative thoughts...I do it repeatedly to no avail.

What's all this growth about? It is said women mature much faster than men but men seem to have their journey of growth ended by age 16 or by low 20's and without the help of any psychologist and do not need to tell the world about it. So much for power of feminism.
Women in cultures where they have too much freedom invariably become psychologically messed up.
