Like it or not AI is with us! It's a question of responsibly managing what it can do for us vs what it can do to us. The whole hate speech debate is interesting. These days there is someone offended by literally anything. Freedom of speech is a cornerstone of any functioning democracy. Many countries are attempting to shove through "hate speech" legislation but their definition of "hate speech" is conveniently vague and will simply be unhealthy censorship of anything opposing the narrative.
When the internet landed on our shores, fears were abound. Now with AI it will be a similar process, everyone fears the unknown, but such advancements are introduced incrementally in every industry. No business wants to lose customers due to technology, so proper research is conducted, and implementation is progressive. We’ll notice small changes, one step at a time, until ‘normal’ has a new definition…
