Former vet assistant here - The reason to buy pet-specific wipes is that a) you do in many cases want something disposable. wiping diarrhea off your long haired cat's butt and legs with a wet cloth and then cleaning that is not fun (also for folks who do not have home laundry is inaccessible/disgusting to store until you can go to the laundry) and b) many wipes for humans have ingredients not safe for pets, pet specific wipes use ingredients that are safe for pets. I usually agree with what you say about over consumption but this is probably one of the few times I'll flat out disagree with what you said about the skin care routine and stuffed animal thing. Everyone's skin is different and sometimes it's not as easy as "oh I'll just try this home remedy." It can lead to outbreaks, dry skin, irritation, or any plethora of issues. I've found that it's best to buy a product you know for a fact will work rather than risk any of the aforementioned skin problems. Plus the face masks are handy for people who travel and or just want to try something new without buying a whole bottle of something that might not work. And it if it does cause an allergic reaction then at least it was just one mask and you can get a different one after. And I think everyone already pointed it out but the stuffed animal thing is not a good idea for dogs, especially ones with destructive habits. Dog toys are (supposedly) specially made with dog-safe materials, granted that's not a guarantee that it'll be safe either but at least a toy designed for dogs is still a better bet than a toy made for kids. Remember that some disposable products are easier to use for disabled people❤ so if you are disabled and have a product you cannot switch to sustainable, do not feel guilty!!
🙌🏻🎉💯 I’m disabled and rely on disposable EVERYTHING and don’t feel bad at all! However there’s still a ton of tips us disabled folks can take from this channel - mainly about remembering to not purchase non functional decor!!! That one has really been a game changer for me, and it’s also true that the funny shaped mugs are really hard to use and clean so sadly i have to stop buying them 😢 they just are clutter for me and I have so many already that I never use! But I’ll never stop buying disposable stuff for pretty much everything as long as I live alone without a kitchen (I’m in a dorm room type bachelor pad at the moment due to the cost of living crisis since my divorce). When i had an able bodied husband we would buy reusable everything! But since he left I have to be practical. I can’t personally do dishes and I don’t have a dishwasher where I am staying nor an able bodied helper so right now in my current set up it’s paper plates or I don’t eat. But for able bodied people; these suggestions are really good.
We’re not talking about disabled people. We’re talking about able-bodied people who do not need to purchase these things because 1.) they don’t NEED them. 2.) to help reduce over consumption, waste, etc. not every single solitary posts needs little end notes with such silly ridiculous specificities attached to them. That’s just common sense. The tone of the video is clear, and any disabled person going to watch this and know it’s not directed at them or making them seem wasteful. And not to mention there’s probably tons of helpful tips they can use anyway.
@@bucky7505sure, but there are then able-bodied people who watch the video and then get all high and mighty about it, and would be rude to disabled people for using them
Most people who want to “save the planet” would be more than happy to get rid of disabled people to do so. Grandiose mania and eugenics go hand in hand.
So true!!!! I window shop ! 😁 satisfies me without buying crap I don't need! I like their food selection. Buy a snack and some stationary or their cool huge tote bags for $1 and I'm set!👍
Endless consumerism doesn't bring us joy, we are conditioned to want more, more, more and for there to never be and endpoint. Unless you break the cycle for yourself, it will continue on and on. "Stuff" doesn't bring joy, it doesn't bring fulfillment❤
Yeah but they suck. They're at TJ Maxx for a reason. It wasn't good enough to sell, but it will be for the poor people who can't afford better. I used to buy clothes there but they literally fall apart faster then my Walmart clothes.
@@calmafterdark912 This isn't always the case. As an ex-Marshalls employee, I have gotten used to the circulated products that come into these types of stores and I know that the ones that don't recirculate are typically actual high quality brand items for a low price. Example: I bought Kleen Kanteen lunch boxes from a Marshalls in the clearance section, 3 for $10, like new. The lunch boxes are also still going strong. Some products are just genuinely overstocked and because they weren't sold in a specific time period, they get handed down to TJX stores etc, to make space for new products, and TJX stores get this problem too so if they stick around long enough they get marked down even more. You typically have to search for the high quality items though, since they usually don't come back once they're gone.
I always get the sample size of a perfume (if any) because it will most likely last me a full year, and if I want more I can just get another sample size 😊 Plus it’s portable so I can easily fit it in my purse or travel bag
The micro fiber makeup removed towels/pads/etc actually work so good, I highly recommend them!! They even do a pretty good job on my waterproof makeup, but combined with a makeup remover or just a regular face wash it gets everything off while still being really gentle on your skin. Saves so much money, I promise they're worth it😂❤
For some reason I hate makeup erasers - they make my face feel sticky, I don’t know why. That’s using it with just water, and with actual makeup remover - I wanted to like it so badly because I don’t believe in being wasteful but it gave me the ick big time. Again, no idea why, it was an official makeup eraser™️ and everything, and I’ve never met anyone else who felt the same way I did 😅
I won't lie, buying my dog high-quality toys is a splurge I do make. He's stolen a couple of my stuffies and claimed them, and they just... do not last. Whereas one of the toys I bought for him the day I picked him up is still around and a steady favorite. My go-to for cheap "throw away" toys for him is actually old clothes, or socks, that are otherwise getting trashed or repurposed anyways. He can cycle through those to get his destructive intincts out and I can toss them later, and then his handful of hella expensive dog toys last us years and years. I did impulse buy him a cheap dog toy a week or two ago, it was too cute and got the better of me, and... yeah it didn't survive but a day or two. Spending hella money to get GOOD dog toys is worth it, in my opinion, on top of the recyled/thrifted/etc. options! :)
I have five perfumes it’s not a huge collection and the reason I have is because I don’t wanna stick to the same sent every day. I feel like that’s boring. I like to pick them based off of what mood I’m feeling.
Just gotta reiterate what everybody else is saying. Spring for the pet-safe items, the child-safe toys. Watch out where materials are from in addition to where they’re manufactured.
I saw that peace sign last week & thought, ooo thanks for the inspo I’ll make that this spring! 🤣👍 I’m really getting over tjmaxx & amazon..😒 Thanks for these videos! Need to get the words out there!
Yea, I think it's a bit uncalled for to target TJMaxx when a lot of people shop there purely because they have to. It's significantly cheaper than Target and sometimes you'll find a great steal. It's basically made for lower-middle class.
@@averywho6430I’m curious - did you miss the clear tone of the video on purpose just to complain? Or did you GENUINELY not hear and understand what she meant? She didn’t say “don’t use this even if you NEED to shop here! That means YOU SUCK!!” She didn’t discourage shopping there. She is literally discouraging buying products that are wasteful, that will cost you more money in the long run, and helpful tips. Why on EARTH did you feel the need to complain?
Be SO careful buying stuffed animals for your dogs!! Not only could they include choking hazards, but my dog ate stuffing from her bed (which is either very similar or exactly the same as the stuffing used in toys) and needed surgery to remove it from her stomach. I'm so careful with any toys I buy my dog now. (You can also try putting them in the washing machine if they smell, but use your discretion as to whether it's a good idea)
really nice video mostly. i def dont recommend the stuffed animal suggestion tho like please dont actually, its so easy for your dog to get hurt. stuffies just arent made for your dog so theyre not safe. all components of them including their fabric being sm more ingestible make them risky but the stuffing too, most of the time dog toy stuffing is intentionally made alot more compact n w different fibers so that it doesnt stick to your dogs mouth and throat if it rips open

Omg! I wish THIS is what UA-cam and social media influencing would become…INFLUENCing change and sustainable living! Instead, so-called influencers are an advertising facade for companies and promote a hyper consumerist culture.
Also friendly reminder that the single use peel masks can be easily replaced with a good exfoliant. You don’t use them daily, and if you’re looking for something to hydrate your skin, there’s a lot of Kskincare brands that are really good, and have reuseable packaging.
Washcloths don’t take off makeup as well as the microfiber cloths. The microfiber cloth can take everything off with just water and it’s very gentle on the eyes.
Plus, microfiber makeup remover cloths are soft on the skin! But I do use a regular washcloth to exfoliate my lips or nose every so often! Highly recommend also looking into face cleansers that also take off makeup so you don’t have to buy two separate products! Look into blueberry bounce cleanser it even removes eye makeup (when used with a makeup remover cloth!) and my skin never looked better 👍
those disposable Make up cloths are more clean, because there is constant bacteria on this reusable Cloth .Unless you bother to wash it after every use. Which is super unhigenic ( i don’t know how to type correct english… man )
It probably depends on how often you wear makeup but not only are disposable wipes bad for your skin, the reusable one can just be thrown in with your laundry. And it has more surface so just use a different part of the towel.
I work at a pet store and I recommend you buy pet specific wipes and and toys. I’m not trying to shake you down- but non pet toys can be choking hazards and won’t be nearly durable enough for most dogs. Also same with wipes, pet wipes are for them specifically. Our pet friends are sensitive and allergic to a lot! Better to spend an extra 5 now then end up with a 5k vet bill.
Love this!! As someone who is struggling financially and now a mom, with less room in my home..learning to be minimal and not caring about vain things I used to care about. Its better being minimal for mee
Ok that cute frog cup is perfect for make up tools. I'll recover chipped coffee mugs for make up tools, toothbrushes, nail tools. You can paint or vinyl a new cover for it to match your decor!!
All good except giving your pets random 2nd hand toys. Pet toys need to be made of non toxic materials and free of adornments they can bite off and swallow. If you want to be 'sustainable' about it... 100% cotton or wool socks or scraps of fabric from old clothes make easy toys. Roll up a few socks into a ball or a cylindrical shape. If you're crafty you can be more elaborate about it but the simple ones get the job done just fine! 😉 Also***No one NEEDS perfume. Its gross and interferes with your hormones / endocrine system. Your hormones regulate EVERYTHING so smelling it is harmful UNLESS you are using 100% Essential oil blends and only in moderation. Your body communicates to itself (and others) via smells and needs to in order to keep itself in balance. Also its so rude when people slather it on and force everyone in a 20 ft radius to inhale their gross sythetic chemical concoction (also disregarding those with allergies/athsma/chem sensitivities/etc.), because they were brainwashed into thinking makes them desireable by some company trying to make money off them. Lets also not forget that perfumes were invented to mask the rotton body funk of our ancestors who rarely washed! 🤢
This was a trip to watch at first because you have the same exact voice as another woman who does haul videos and I was like.. "when did that switch up happen?? 🤔" Took me a minute to realize y'all are two completely different people lol
Yeah about pets, respectfully disagree, i use a rag to wipe my dogs feet but the wet wipes help freshen up and wipe her butt which im not using a rag to do 😅
I love my reusable makeup sponge thing, but also I use the wipes for vacations. I have too many allergies to use anything hotel related and the airport does not allow nearly enough liquids. I cant fit the makeup remover at all, but the rest goes into small pillboxes and travel soap things. Fun fact, you can get travel sized soap containers at walmart, if you rather keep using the good stuff 😊
I LOVE my calico cat, she is spoiled like a little baby but, I refuse to buy those pet wipes. She has her own face washers, which I use with warm water and a drop or two of the natural shampoo that her vet recommended. Also, I don’t buy her toys. A girlfriend repurposes old clothes into new clothes. I took a few pieces of clothing to her and she made toys for me. Miss Biscuit loves them! 😊
Actually tj maxx is a store that sells overflow surplus from big companies so that those items don't just get thrown out... not as good as a thrift store but still
I recently went through my millions of body sprays and got rid of the almost empty ones and ones that have been empty. Now i have about ten that im determined to use before i get any more.
i loooove those make-up remover cloths! they work really well, you just gotta put them in the washing machine after a few uses, depending on how much/how often you wear makeup
Please consider taking down this video, the advice to pet owners to buy stuffed kids toys is so dangerous. Those toys are not manufactured with pets in mind, who eat everything, I have lots a dog from a pet toy, let alone a stuffed toy.
my favourite perfume store is my moms room, she bought a LOT of perfumes in the past and regrets it so she gives them away either to me or other family members
Friendly reminder for everyone that wet wiprs for humans can often be a quality of life increase for those who have disabilities or are differently able. Wet wipes can be a great accessible hygiene tool. So lets not demonize wet wipes and instead reach for something else when/if we can. 😊
Those pet wipes are a lifesaver if you keep fancy rats (like the ones you get from a pet store, not pests in your home). Rats are too small to bathe any other way safely and it keeps them very clean and they smell nice and don’t seem to irritate their skin or fur. Taking my pet rat to get groomed was so expensive because only exotic vets do it and they charge a fortune. I’m guessing they would work well for Guinea pigs and pet mice too.
I personally do not recommend giving your dogs thifted toys. My dog will shred those plushies in a matter of days. I'm also not sure how safe the materials of human stuffed toys are for dogs.(Meaning the stuffing and stuff. I know small plastics are a no go) I would suggest buying some durable high quality toys instead and replacing them only when needed
My dog does actually care and we buy specific dog ones because our golden will tear apart plushies so much easier. Yes it’s more money but at least I don’t have a huge vet bill
I’ve been trying to go through my perfume collection (it’s small) for two years now and I’m so happy I’m almost ending 2 of the cheap perfumes 😭 I want to buy new and good ones
On the dog toys I have bought my tiny puppy niece so many toys and her fave is my stuffed cat! I’m going to the thrift to get her one of her own! Lesson learned!
I have a collection of free perfume testers that I have received while buying from cosmetic stores. I probably have about 40+ mini tester bottles and each lasts at least a month or two (and that's a conservative estimate) with daily use + touch ups. I have one full size perfume which I got as a birthday present and that is genuinely the only full sized product I have ever had (and possibly will ever have).
If you’re buying stuffed animals do not buy the ones with plastic eye, beads, battery packs etc
And if you thrift them- wash them! lol
I can’t buy stuffed animals anyway, my dog will tear them to shreds 🧸
No I will

Listen, I know TJMaxx isn't my friend, but I do like looking at all the things they have that I'm definitely not buying. It's a great time killer 😅
So true!!!! I window shop ! 😁 satisfies me without buying crap I don't need! I like their food selection. Buy a snack and some stationary or their cool huge tote bags for $1 and I'm set!👍
Clearance at the Maxx is great.
same 😂 i pick stuff up and go “aww! that’s cute!” and then leave it where i found it
Endless consumerism doesn't bring us joy, we are conditioned to want more, more, more and for there to never be and endpoint. Unless you break the cycle for yourself, it will continue on and on. "Stuff" doesn't bring joy, it doesn't bring fulfillment❤
True
no cause what is with the celebrity culture nowadays it makes me sad
Speak for yourself.
Some of us just like stuff. It's that simple.
That existential crisis at the end of the dopamine rush
Tj Maxx actually does carry a lot of sustainable products though too, like the reusable makeup remover Wipe, produce bags, metal lunch tins!
There are also tons of reusable silicone eye and face masks that turn any serum you're using into a face mask. They work great.
OMG! I neeed that frog cup. I love it.
Right! I love keroppi
@@rainbowfunfetticupcake9347 Thank you for the name! Now, I can try to find it!
Part of the problem
I always get the sample size of a perfume (if any) because it will most likely last me a full year, and if I want more I can just get another sample size 😊 Plus it’s portable so I can easily fit it in my purse or travel bag
sorry, no used toys for my dogs. my dog does care that it doesn't squeak and I do care that there's no knowing where the toy came from
The micro fiber makeup removed towels/pads/etc actually work so good, I highly recommend them!! They even do a pretty good job on my waterproof makeup, but combined with a makeup remover or just a regular face wash it gets everything off while still being really gentle on your skin. Saves so much money, I promise they're worth it😂❤
They’ve completely replaced actual face wash in my routine 😅
The makeup eraser brand works
Yes! And I actually got mine at tjmaxx 😂
Spending hella money to get GOOD dog toys is worth it, in my opinion, on top of the recyled/thrifted/etc. options! :)
I LOVE MUGS 100% i use all of mine 😋
Was with you until you said TJMaxx is not my friend. Ma'am! TJMaxx is one of my BESTEST friends!!!
Yea, I think it's a bit uncalled for to target TJMaxx when a lot of people shop there purely because they have to. It's significantly cheaper than Target and sometimes you'll find a great steal. It's basically made for lower-middle class.
Corporations are never your friends.

An old towel tied together makes an awesome pet toy fr
TKMaxx in my area sells loads of reusable beauty stuff like make up cloths and washable pads etc
really nice video mostly. i def dont recommend the stuffed animal suggestion tho like please dont actually, its so easy for your dog to get hurt. stuffies just arent made for your dog so theyre not safe. all components of them including their fabric being sm more ingestible make them risky but the stuffing too, most of the time dog toy stuffing is intentionally made alot more compact n w different fibers so that it doesnt stick to your dogs mouth and throat if it rips open
i have that kerroppi mug and i use them for planting propagations!! it's my favorite way to use mugs that haven't gotten much use at all and it prevents me from buying more and more pots !!
umm tj maxx is my best friend and they have everything at that store 🙏
She’s correct in that we overconsume though. I agree. We don’t need all of this
TJMax, Burlington & Marshalls gets my business 100%
ok but le monde gourmand perfume is SO good they have chai, coocnut milk, and pistachio that are always favorites, im done with them in like a month so it's a great signature scent for the season, id say
Omg! I wish THIS is what UA-cam and social media influencing would become…INFLUENCing change and sustainable living! Instead, so-called influencers are an advertising facade for companies and promote a hyper consumerist culture.
😂😂😂😂
Also friendly reminder that the single use peel masks can be easily replaced with a good exfoliant. You don’t use them daily, and if you’re looking for something to hydrate your skin, there’s a lot of Kskincare brands that are really good, and have reuseable packaging.
“Tj is not your friend” Shun the non believer! SHUNNN🤣
buying stuffed animals at the thrift for me pets genius! i’ve never thought of that
Reusable makeup remover…so, a washcloth? 😂
Yes!
Look into blueberry bounce cleanser it even removes eye makeup (when used with a makeup remover cloth!) and my skin never looked better 👍
the stuffing in normal toys can get lodged in dog’s digestive tracks
those disposable Make up cloths are more clean, because there is constant bacteria on this reusable Cloth .Unless you bother to wash it after every use.
"Please say sike rn"😂❤
Also***No one NEEDS perfume. 🤢
which ancestors? I thought people throughout history always washed, apart from the times where fresh water was hard to come by
@@catgoeskek 😆 There were many cultures who went a week or more without bathing for various reasons. 😉
That Keroppi mug though👀🐸
Girl thank you, you are doing important work.
You bring such good energy too! YES!
These are so therapeutic thank you
I need this reminder today!!! Thank you! Sometimes I feel I’m the only one trying to be sustainable and like I’m in the wrong!! Keep the good fight!!
As someone who just paid off her TJMaxx credit card last month i felt this video in my soul 😂
You just killed me with this one! I love Marshall’s so much but you’re absolutely right 😭😭😭❤️
This was a trip to watch at first because you have the same exact voice as another woman who does haul videos and I was like.. "when did that switch up happen?? 🤔" Took me a minute to realize y'all are two completely different people lol
lol are you talking about the bougie on a budget girl?
@@ahoee yes, exactly!
I am a crazy shaped mug user. Their uniqueness prevents me from throwing them away. I literally use them until they shatter 😢❤
I am so happy I found your channel ❤❤❤❤
Bro's that Keroppi! Give that to a Sanrio lover who will surely appreciate it!
BLINK 182 SHIRT SPOTTEDDDD
Yeah about pets, respectfully disagree, i use a rag to wipe my dogs feet but the wet wipes help freshen up and wipe her butt which im not using a rag to do 😅
I love my reusable makeup sponge thing, but also I use the wipes for vacations. I have too many allergies to use anything hotel related and the airport does not allow nearly enough liquids. I cant fit the makeup remover at all, but the rest goes into small pillboxes and travel soap things. Fun fact, you can get travel sized soap containers at walmart, if you rather keep using the good stuff 😊
Ok but that keropi mug is my favorite mug❤
I LOVE my calico cat, she is spoiled like a little baby but, I refuse to buy those pet wipes. She has her own face washers, which I use with warm water and a drop or two of the natural shampoo that her vet recommended.
Also, I don’t buy her toys. A girlfriend repurposes old clothes into new clothes. I took a few pieces of clothing to her and she made toys for me. Miss Biscuit loves them! 😊
Can you share your skincare ? 😊
Love your videos by the way.
Actually tj maxx is a store that sells overflow surplus from big companies so that those items don't just get thrown out... not as good as a thrift store but still
Stuffed animals from the thrift store don't have squeakers and that's my dogs favorite part!
I love you! First timer. Keep it up!
Love this!! I’m currently using up old fragrances
I needed to hear this 😂 thanks ❤
I went to target yesterday and my friend was gonna buy sunglasses but then we saw that they were $17 😭😂
She said, “please say sike right now” 😂
I wish I could send this to my mother-in-law. I wish I could send all your videos to my mother-in-law!
The boots are giving me early 2000s collectable high heels flashbacks. My cousin was obsessed and had shelves full!
Another great video with amazing tips! Sustainability is our future!💚
Love your content!! 🎉
Me: I don’t need anything new, what I have at home is perfectly fine.
My dog: only appreciates bark box toys and squishmallows
Please consider taking down this video, the advice to pet owners to buy stuffed kids toys is so dangerous. Those toys are not manufactured with pets in mind, who eat everything, I have lots a dog from a pet toy, let alone a stuffed toy.
I have a Texas boot flower holder. Been having it for 10 years!!!
I have to admit I was sucked into Scentbird but canceled it. I have so much to get through
my favourite perfume store is my moms room, she bought a LOT of perfumes in the past and regrets it so she gives them away either to me or other family members
Thank you!!! 🙏
Friendly reminder for everyone that wet wiprs for humans can often be a quality of life increase for those who have disabilities or are differently able. Wet wipes can be a great accessible hygiene tool. So lets not demonize wet wipes and instead reach for something else when/if we can. 😊
You're my favorite youtuber. 👏
love your content !!!
Love how everyone agrees but care more about the animals chew toys😂😂 dog life 🐕
Lonely TJ Maxx trying to make friends: 👁👄👁
Wait… that fairy mug though 😂
if i saw someone give one of my childhood stuffed animals to a dog i would cry
I personally do not recommend giving your dogs thifted toys. My dog will shred those plushies in a matter of days. I'm also not sure how safe the materials of human stuffed toys are for dogs.(Meaning the stuffing and stuff. I know small plastics are a no go) I would suggest buying some durable high quality toys instead and replacing them only when needed
I love your channel
My dog does actually care and we buy specific dog ones because our golden will tear apart plushies so much easier. Yes it’s more money but at least I don’t have a huge vet bill
I’ve been trying to go through my perfume collection (it’s small) for two years now and I’m so happy I’m almost ending 2 of the cheap perfumes 😭 I want to buy new and good ones
I love this content!
I agree with everything in this vid for the most part but i am not giving my dog a stuffed animal that i got at the thrift store 😭😭
On the dog toys I have bought my tiny puppy niece so many toys and her fave is my stuffed cat! I’m going to the thrift to get her one of her own! Lesson learned!
God I love her she brings me back down to earth every time lmao
I have a collection of free perfume testers that I have received while buying from cosmetic stores. I probably have about 40+ mini tester bottles and each lasts at least a month or two (and that's a conservative estimate) with daily use + touch ups. I have one full size perfume which I got as a birthday present and that is genuinely the only full sized product I have ever had (and possibly will ever have).
