Anyone else wish that they would've let you choose what character you wanted to face the final boss with. I would've loved being The Warden and hear some type of dialogue that's along the lines of him fixing the mistakes he made by choosing the antagonists side. Would've been epic.
Yeah, the way the final mission is structured, the Orochi feels like a Deus ex Machina. It's the third act of the story and some warrior who never had any involvement with the rest of the characters comes in and kills the main antagonist, all while the protagonist the story started with plays a smaller role in the background.
Yeah, and wouldn’t it have been cool to fight Holden Cross or Mercy as The Warden, Imagine playing as The Orochi taking down catapults and finally opening the gates for the Iron Legion. Then you switch to the perspective of The Warden and lead the charge into Apollyon’s Fortress only for Holden and Mercy to slay the first legion of foot soldiers, Holden stamps his axe on the ground “You betrayed the Blackstone Legion!” He screams “You murdered and pillaged your way across The starving thousands of innocents to death, I’ve betrayed no one, you betrayed your people and broken your oaths!” Retorts The Warden “So be it” Mercy whispers. But, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, Stone comes in from the side and punches Mercy in the face with head of his flail “I’ve got your flanks, Warden!” He says, as you both engage in an epic boss fight with Holden and bring him to his knees “Apollyon...will...win...” Cross wheezes before finally dying. Or just go the simpler route and make all three of switch sides after The Warden gives his speech after killing Gudmundir
@@flakeybitsus5830 But Holden joined the new Iron Legion in the end (or whatever the deserters did in the chapter Honor.) You saw him handing out new shields and piling up old Blackstone shields.
Getty That’s true, but I’m simply suggesting alternatives to the story, because in the current one, there seemed to be no reason for Holden to change sides

The Raider has Courage.

Honestly, one of the finest pieces of story that Ubisoft has produced. It deserves so much more attention.
hahahaha finest xDDD in that case ubicrap must be all over really bad. Lacking facial animations, huge fucking holes in plot, severely limited in terms of open world gameplay, not even able to do trader/farmer/pacifist/thief/priest classes? and where the fuck are the scabbards

For my friends always asked me why I only played warden and I just kept on playing cuz he’s so fuckin cool
@@maxwellmorrison1911 His moveset is pretty garbage tho, but knights look cool. Vikings are my favorite tho and valkrae moveset is op.
As basic as he is he’s still pretty cool tho
You can always mix up the way you play to make it more interesting
You should have been able to choose between the Warden or the Orochi in their duel, and between the Raider, the Orochi and the Warden in the fight with Apollyon.
I like when these game movies actually show enough of the gameplay to bridge the context between cutscenes
i like that enough is censored and cut that you still have to buy and play the game yourself in order to make sense of it
Story kind of falls apart when the samurai find the rebels and decide to fight instead of talk. Only to talk after fighting but not me any kind of co-ordinated effort to not have them fight again later.
The 7 years of war thing hinges entirely on the main characters all being idiots.
It's not as if real-life people are any better. Simply put, each side saw a prize: Vengeance and/or Survival.
Thanks to Apollyon each side had beef with everyone else. With almost zero evidence of any pre-existing diplomatic relations, large armies, limited food for everyone, it became a massive free-for-all.
Agreed, the ending is a bit weak. Also yeah fighting the warden is pretty dumb. In my opinion, playing him as the final character to kill Apollyon would have been better. It would have shown his transformation from good knight to bad back to good. A full campaign on The Warden's transformation would have been epic alone.
Cantabile Definitely true. And that last boss battle was seriously lack luster, especially with the potential for so much more. If I were the writer, I would've made it so it was the orochi you play as for that, the raider, AND the warden vs the last boss. Or at the very least, have the warden and orochi tag team it. And what else got me was that I didn't see stone during the last fight. Cross and warden were visible, but stone? The game does do one helluva job showing the causes of conflict, even to this day though.
The only thing that bothers me a bit is Apollyon's mistake... Yeah ok she wanted to cause a massive never ending war between everyone... But what exactly was she expecting by killing the imperial family, burning the food from the vikings, and dishonoring the Iron Legion? She caused such a backlash that all three of them converged at Blackstone and she died, was this really her plan? That none would see through her bullshit?
And now the Warden is Lord, the vikings keep on raiding and the Samurai holed up again.
What happened during the great raid is what interests me. You suddenly go back to Ashfeld and Orochi fights a renewed Iron Legion, one that includes, Stone, Mercy, Holden Cross and the Warden (now commander)... We have the why, not the how, and that would be a very good story.
I kind of imagine Warden waking up next to Apolyon and Valkyrie one day and wondering what he did.
I like how the main characters break the fourth wall. It really immersed the players in the story.
Wow you got this video out pretty quickly, and well made too! Well done!
I mean right at the end, before Apollyon dies, the Samurai and the Knights are like ready to not kill each other, then the Vikings charge in and everyone starts killing each other. Dammit Vikings.
A unique campaign. Great story, great game.
Just don't ready the comments then dummy. Plus it wasn't actually the ending, ending. The fight with Apollyon, well you knew that would happen, and I'm just saying what happened after.
That said, I'll make sure to put spoiler in the future
Leviathan05 when it's a video that includes everything from the campaign excluding full gameplay of it and you start to surf the comments and video without finishing the game yet it is your own fault for it being spoiled. why watch a video on all the cutscenes if you don't want spoilers? let alone if you are watching the video why stop and look at comments halfway through? no one needs to say spoiler before commenting because the whole video is a spoiler and the title very clearly should be screaming spoilers
God for some reason I watched this with the Monty Python and the Holy Grail theme song playing in my head.
Now that is a version of this game i would play, just to see the character class they make to have to the taunt skill.

I like how Ayu and the male samurai who is friends with her are voiced by the same people who voice Arcee and Jack Darby from Transformers Prime respectively.
"we're vikings ! might as well ask me to pick up farming !" Viking were farmers and traders at least as much (i'd argue much more) than raiders. You can had mercenaries (and conquerors / settlers). Basically in ancien time, they either wanted to raid rich lands or way better, moving in !
Great story lines, cutscenes and boss battles! I've probably give the game a 8.5/10 it's just the controls I don't like, the blocking system sometimes feels a bit unresponsive but overall I'd say the game is great! Looking forward to future DLC releases! Especially for Ubisoft to being in them legendary helmets! They should allow us to have any helmet from campaign of who we slay as a trophy!

Imagine if they ever decided to make a new DLC for For Honor game, where all the factions of Knights, Samurai, Viking and Wu Lin had no choice but to form a pact with Blackstone Legion to fight against the hordes of ancient Demon Army just like the Game Of Thrones style. Or just like the Legends mode from Ghost Of Tsushima. That would be dope af!
Ew I hate out of place fantasy in For Honor. You’re definitely a new player.

People don't give enough credit to the story mod of For Honor. Like, it's a pretty good story people!
Why did the Orochi end up being the pseudo main character by the end of the game?
The warriors were outnumbered. Samurais need insane training and expensive equipment. Unlike the vikings who uses almost no money in cost of armor.
They hint about him just before entering the samurai story line, and he was kind of a badass

the Samurai chapter is the most interesting to me
Vane F Knight was pretty good too. Viking felt... well, out of place. Which given the ending might have been the entire point.
What gets me is there are people dumb enough to think Apollyon isn't the big bad...
i love being a warlord, simple sword and shield, original yet effective
For Honor actually has such a unique premise that I don't think gets explored enough, in that they're basically in a post apocalyptic world ravaged by unpresidented natural disasters. They should have continued with that premise
Game hasn’t got a large enough player base to expand the lore by another campaign or something like that. I would really like to see some lore expansions like the World map with different factions and Empires in campaign. For example the Wu Lin at the East of the Myre, or the Middle east and Byzantine Empire to the south of Ashfeld and Myre, the Americas far from the Heathmoor or add another faction as Mongol/Turk nomads in central asia set in northwest of Myre and East to the China called the Khaganate which includes nomadic warriors from the region. Ik this is beyond imagination because game focused on multiplayer with low player base. But what if?
my only question is what happened to the warden , raider and orchi in the end
@@erikhaugan We don’t really know about The Orochi and The Raider’s fate but supposedly The Warden now known as the Lord Warden becoming the lord of the Iron Legion one day disappeared and then all the blame was put onto Holden Cross because he used to be Apollyon’s second in command so he went on the run and had to be protected by people like Emperor Ayu and Jarl Stigandr for some time and many assassination attempts were targeted at him he then travelled the world as a mercenary and then joined a band of mercenaries and he would later be known as Gryphon by his group due to a little girl on the streets of a town calling him a Gryphon so he adopted the name he ran into many cultures outside of Heathmoor like Ancient Greece for example and after hearing about the destruction the Order of Horkos was causing in he came back to Heathmoor to make things right and many people forgave him because they saw he wasn’t the monster they thought he was and that he was a changed man. Holden Cross then heard of the rise of the Chimera Alliance and its rebellion against the Order of Horkos and then he offered himself to lead the Chimera Alliance to defeat the Order of Horkos due to the leader of the order being inspired by Apollyon’s ideals. The Chimera Alliance also aims to bring peace to Heathmoor once and for all. There’s more details but that’s some of it summed up.
