Though many newer games are developed for HDR, some older games are SDR only, such as games that use DirectX 11 or DirectX 12. But with Auto HDR, that changes. When you turn on Auto HDR, the color range and brightness is automatically increased to HDR. It’s a feature that lets you play and see your older games in a new light with HDR on your HDR-capable display. All you need to do is turn on Auto HDR. Good story, better ending. Rome lasted for about 800 years, even with terrible emperors as Nero. Actually, most Emperors were pretty terrible. But, one does have great legacy: "Cincinnatus". Farmer turned Emperor and saved Rome from defeat by "Barbarians". Once Rome was safe and secure, he gave up his throne as Emperor, and returned to a life of simple farmer. And who the U.S. city of Cincinnati is named after.
Rome including the kingdom of Rome, Roman republic, Roman Empire, and Byzantine Empire lasted 2246 years Also Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus was a consul
It was a good *LOOKING* game for 2013. Everything else was so-so. But the set pieces looked GORGEOUS. That and the Voice Acting by the main character Marius.
This game was a launch title for the Xbox One (I believe) and held so much potential. Could have been a very good series where you hunted down traitors and the worst leaders in history
Great graphics that still hold up. Cliché but well executed story. And all around top notch performances from the voice actors. This game deserved more appreciation back when it came out. And man, those animations are satisfying.
As a Fire Emblem nerd, I would like to believe that Damocles fell, because his enemy knows the weapon triangle-therefore, he was at a disadvantage, because he had a sword while the enemy had lances. Years later, all the barbarians are always at a weapon disadvantage, because they always wielded axes while the Romans had swords. Then again, the barbarians' bows did come in handy. 1:29:39 Was that a Roman Paul Revere?!
Going in with low expectations I finished the game like two days ago, I liked the campaign, yes it was repetitive but the story itself is short so the game ends before it becomes a real problem also the second part of the campaign was great.
Only bad part about this game is it dose not have much replay ability once you beat it one time and want to play it again it gets really repetitive but that first play through will always be amazing
Everytime you post a video of this I love it and I wish to every company with the power to please put this game on PlayStation so I can play it constantly
Ryse was a pretty decent title that could've been a staple on the future of games in early 2010's but was ruined after being tagged and main features intertwined to/from the Xbox Kinect.
Even with watching this video, I’m still interested in playing. Could you imagine if Marius in one mission fought alongside Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus? (IYKYK) 😊
i dont know for sure but im prity sure that after the first siege in britania the helmet he gets is from an optio, basicly 1 rank lower then a centurion so i dont exactly know im im correct but i think i am. reply to my coment if im wrong and correct me please
I like this game for its accuracy in historical details. The on an elephant riding british babarien woman is the highlight. Probably she was trained by Hanibal
As with every Crytek game before, it's more of a tech demo than a fun game. Crysis is only remembered because the graphics couldn't be run on most computers when it came out, even though that was due to the Crytek engine being poorly optimized garbage. All these games look good, but don't play good. I've never met anyone who has played Crysis or Ryse, and if they have, it was only one playthrough. They aren't very engaging games. However, I loved Ryse on my Xbox One, even though it was a whole lot of nothing.

Sometimes power is better used in the hands that don’t want it.
Cincinnato was not an Emperor, he was a Console, made Dittatore pro tempore, many many years before the Imperium, Rome was a Republic.
Rome including the kingdom of Rome, Roman republic, Roman Empire, and Byzantine Empire lasted 2246 years
Also Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus was a consul

The HDR upgrade is amazing! Definitely worth the rewatch.
I loved this games story. Simple, focused, entertaining, linear, perfect for a game of its scale

Imagine if this game had a sequel where we were knights
Eastern Rome had knights and they participated in crusades against Muslim nations.
@@wargamesmaster I studied history and the Eastern Roman Empire is also known as the Byzantine Empire.
@@leguichettravel1599 Maybe to the rest of the world but to the people living in what was left of the empire, they were Romans.
@@leguichettravel1599 But they never called themselves Byzantine tho, they always called themselves Romans.
@@leguichettravel1599 those are called cataphract
I guess he was right, the emperor’s own sword did kill him
Yeah,that was the point...
Omg. This is the game that really got me into watching cutscenes. It was so good.
I agree it had that Gladiator movie vibe
Yo Facts , i bought the game after finishing the cutsceneon YT when i was in college
The Roman God of war goes hard I love the story and the gameplay keep it up
If you loved this you would have loved Spartan Total Warrior. It was amazing

Too bad this was never released on other platforms. I would love to play a game with the Roman Empire. It's been a long time.
i swear to god this game is full cinema from start to finish

The invasion on the beach it’s beautiful and nobody can’t convince me that is not inspired by the D-Day as shown in “Save Private Ryan”.
Battle speeches that should've been in Total War Rome 2
Tbh after playing Rome 2, play this game in the first person as a single soldier of Rome feel like the battle isn’t that big

Forgot this game even existed

Very awesome.
The worst part about this game is the fact that their cheek armor is just flopping around unsecured.
And that matters why?
Even with watching this video, I’m still interested in playing.

Awesome game and graphics I'm glad I came across this I didn't know this game was that great 2 thumbs up👍👍
I love this game

Getting his Goku Black impression out as well 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Never had an XBOX, so I’ve never played this game
Its a fun game, worth a playthrough.
It's out for PC also
I love ur vids
An underrated game that doesn't need a sequel.
Surrender or the centurion will end your bloodline! Drop the sword!
didnt you post this game before??
I Love This Game.
Great visuals and fight animation. Some of the best I think. Only thing lacking is diversity of the enemies.
agreed. Having 2-4 enemy skins takes you out of the experience

Good story overly repetitive combat for the time it was a good game
Of course The barbarian historians love to forget about the Eastern half of Rome, but as an Italian, the lineage lives on... ✝️☝️🙏
