This one started with a Rocklite Ebano blank from LMII
    www.lmii.com/r...
Most of its thickness was removed by resawing on the table saw an then finished on the thickness sander. Saddle slot was milled and then cleaned up with a paring chisel, ⅛” bevel edge chisel and a shop made mini chisel to achieve the square edges. Bridge pin holes accurately drilled on the mill with a kit DRO (Touch DRO / www.yuriystoys... ). The saddle was tweaked into final thickness with sandpaper and the shaping starts!
Shaping is a combination of bandsaw and sanders. The wings and the back edge are rounded and brought to final thickness on my shop built thickness sander with 5” drum. The rest is hand sanding with cauls to math the curves and taken to 400 grit.
It is getting sessions of French Polish to match the body and fingerboard.
I’m really enjoying the Rocklite Ebano. Only downside to it is it is rough on edge tools and gums up sandpaper on the thickness sander. I have to dial in the pressure and speed as it seems to build heat faster than natural wood. I’ll use it again!
Hit me up with questions in the comments. Thank you for stopping by!!!

Nicely done. That's quite a mill you have, I presume its not just for slotting bridges....

Colin North thank you for the kind words and for watching. Yeah... I’m spoiled with that mill and it has improved accuracy more than I could have imagined. It was fun to restore as well!
