Thanks. They work great. You just have to make sure you drill the right size hole for your toothpicks. I'm not sure how much variance there is in toothpicks but I'd check them first.
Looks good Jeff. I once made a very similar bridge slotting jig for a semi-hollow bass I made a few years ago. I like the ambrosia maple you're using. It looks cool. It reminds me of Taylor's pallet wood series.
Great video, great stuff. Urm, is there an alternative to a drum sander for the wings, please? Also, if I can loan my buddy's drum set up, how did you regulate the amount of the bridge that goes into the sander to be accurate with the development of the wings , please? Mine is no where near as pro looking as yours but I'm trying to keep up and learning masses from your teaching, cheers a lot.
You could do this with a rasp. It would be a bit more work but completely doable. On the drum sander, I drew out my line where I wanted the wings to stop and just fed it into the sander by hand. I just sanded until I got to the line. Slow and careful at this step.
love the idea of the toothpicks as security, smart

Looking good Jeff. Can't wait to hear her play
Thank you Paul. I'm almost done spraying the clear so we're getting closer to hearing it.
