    That is absolutely amazing! I never in a million years would have thought it possible to make anything other than a hat, shawl or blanket with a loom. You are awesome. I can’t wait to share this with my granddaughter. She will love it 😊.

      You are so VERY welcome! By the way I have a list of over 60 patterns you can make with the same loom you would use for this pattern. Here is a video of some of them ua-cam.com/video/5M57cyaO1_4/v-deo.html

      That is AWESOME Arpita - Hey when you make the doll legs don't slip (skip) the first peg. I found that it works much better when you don't

    I saw this about two years ago and thought I could never make this. Today I made it. I love making the Kitties as well. I add my own little twist to the Kitties. I never can get my projects to be just like yours but they always turn out great in the end. Thank you!

    Thank you! I knit and crochet and never imagined I’d want to use a circular loom. The darling picture of the doll and great video instructions prompted to get a loom and try it. This is so fun! Can’t wait to show my granddaughters.

    I crochet as well as loom knit, and my mother subtly asked me to make her a doll last night ("Look at these sweet dolls, aren't they cute? You should make one. I'm going to send this to you."). I like how simple your instructions are. Hopefully with the loom it'll work up a lot quicker, plus I'm teaching her how to use the loom as well. This looks like a nice project to work on together with her. Thank you for the tutorial :)

    I loom knitted a hat and scarf for my little 4 year old granddaughter. She called me the evening she received her box in the mail ( I live in Fl and she's in MA.) and thanked me for her very hot pink hat and scarf. But she also said when she saw the box....super long pause....she was disappointed there was not a toy in it. But she really liked the hat and scarf. Of course she was disappointed, she's a toddler with a box in the mail for her and she got clothes....lol! Then I saw your adorable doll which solved the no toy problem. I'm actually making a scarf and hat for the doll to match hers. And any future items will have a doll to match. Thank you so for this pattern. You are a genius! And I also learned how to loom knit watching your videos.

    You make such great instructional videos. I think I have commented before that I like your hands... I know it seems just really weird, but they look a lot like my Mom's hands. She died two years ago, but she did lots of crafts, and when she died, she was in the middle of making a loom knit hat. She made bunches of them to hand out to people in need.

I just wanted to thank you so much for providing such detailed instructions in your video which helps me to be successful at looming. I already made two hats and will try to make a scrap next. Hello Denise, Is there a difference between the Darice loom and the one you are using. On my doll you can see all the stuffing. The spaces are very visible. I used the unwrap.

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  8 років тому

      Yes Carmen - the Darice 24-peg is the same as the 24-peg I'm using in the video. I might be the yarn you're using. Best to use cheap acrylic - like Red Heart Super Saver

      @andujarmcarmen 8 років тому

      I will try again. I was using the same yarn you used in the video. Just one question if it's ok to ask. how big is the doll suppose to be. Mine is 12"

    So I ordered the CindWood loom, but got a 30 peg 1/2 guage, which is still the same size loom as the blue kk loom, but smaller guage. It should be easy to translate. I can't wait to do some yarn destashing and make lots of dolls to give away. These little dolls are fantastic! Thank you for sharing your time and skills.

      As long as the loom base is the same size the peg count doesn't matter: ua-cam.com/video/92k2F7Z9x_w/v-deo.html

    I’ve been loom knitting on and off for about 2 years☺️ I started back in December of 2015 when I was 8 months pregnant. I haven’t made much, but I tried this doll for my son. I have lots of looms but left them at my other house, anyway, I HAD to make the doll right away😂 so I tried it on my 36 peg loom (not sure which brand, just bought it from Walmart?) and my doll is adorable❤️ he has a green body suit and black boots. I made it to be like a muñeco quitapena for my little boy. I was able to finish it after working hard for a few hours.

    It's really possible to loom knit a doll in half an hour?! And I thought my loom was only good for making scarves and hats!
    AMAZING! I will be buying designs from your Etsy shop, thank you.

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  6 років тому +1

      Marie - You can NOT make a doll in a half an hour - did you hear that on this video? ... Please say it ain't soooooooooooo. I don't think I would say that. The average doll will take 2 or even 3 hours - could be more for a beginner

    Denise, I know you show using one strain of yarn but I could you use two strains of yarn too make the tiny doll of tiny bear?

  • @ymm424
    @ymm424 3 роки тому

    I noticed that the direction of your knitting around the loom reversed when you changed to the yarn for the head. Was this deliberate? I’m confused

    After we join the 2 rows of 15 and 'finish the row' at 3:29 which peg do we count as the first for the 12 rows?

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  7 років тому

      the first peg or the first row? - you don't count the cast-one and you always slip (skip) the first stitch (peg)

      I was gifted the Knifty Knitter round loom series so am anxious to try them and just watched a LOT of your tutorials, so wish me luck as I am nervous but anxious to try them, think I'll try a dishcloth first, or do you recommend something easier?

    • @LoomaHat

      Hey girl! Alright, started a hat tonight on the green loom for hubby, Wow, I must be a tight loomer cause I can hardly get them off the first round. Will start over tomorrow. Watched your hat tutorial 3 times before starting, so I must be wrapping too tightly. It sure looks pretty, the orange and yellow but I am going to try and make mine for hubby in burgundy and then maybe the body of the hat with gray and black mixed. Will let you know if I am able to accomplish it. Thanks so much for your inspiration ♥ and keep them coming.

    I can't get the arms for some reason. I end up on the opposite end of where you are when I get to the 11th row so then it doesn't seem like the draw string is right. 2 strings on one end when I take it off. Should there be 1 string on either end?
