This was the perfect video I was looking for.
But instead of directly buying the 2.0 HDD Enclosure, I first removed it and connected it to my desktop with a normal SATA cable and checked if HDD worked or not.
Now that it is working, I will go and get an enclosure.

@@kirtinimbark90 yes..! In my case the PCB was not responding and i followed the instructions and changed the PCB and got my data back..! In my opinion most of the time when a HDD crashes the reason would be a problem in Printed circuit board..!

Hi I have a hardisk with the Rom (Bios burned - in the sense that PCB's rom is missing)
Reason I had buying a card to do the swapping but the repairman lost the original card)
Do you think it is possible to recover my Seagate Hardisk?
In short, the HD has never been opened and card that has does not have the original BIOS
I feel the engine turns but it doesn't see any data windows with new pcb donnor.

Hello sir mine is seagate 1TB expansion hdd it is fall down and after that it is not showing in PC. I don't know what the problem exactly and can I buy PCB case what u shown in video for my seagate hdd.
my segate harddisk when connected is showing an error called usb device malfunctioned (set address failed) dont know what's the problem but i think its mostly because of power related issue.. i once remember connecting it through a 5 port usb hub after that incident only hard drive stopped detecting and poping up.. i tried troubleshoot setting through youtube tutorials but none worked. i hope it's not hardware or power circuit motherboard or memory sectors damage. will your method work is a big question to me.. i dont know which case to use too

Check your hard disk on any other computer. It may be usb issue or wire fault. In most of the cases malfunctioning happens due to drivers, try to uninstall usb drivers and install new drivers from motherboard company's official website

USB 3.0 PCB card is not available in the market. If you can arrange any working pcb from any other old hard disk than you can change it

My external drive (Seagate USB 3.0) does not show in file explorer or disk management but the option to safely remove it is available. After I opened the case, disconnected the PCB and connected the drive to my computer using a SATA-to-USB3.0 cable, the option to safely remove is not available and the drive still doesn't show in file explorer or disk management. Any idea if buying a new enclosure will be helpful in such a case?
