That was some excellent DMing to get them to talk to the pirate ghost. The first ghost mentioned him but they didn't acknowledge it, so Johnny had them hear a sea shanty, which they thought was coming from the basement, so he had the crone reenforce that it's the summoning circle and basically told them to summon the pirate. GM Johnny: Are you not here for the challenge?
Eggbert and Dob: Challenge Accepted!!!
My two most comforting pieces of media: Oxventures, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This episode was like biting into a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup for the first time.
Less than ten minutes and Oxtra is already being treated like pets. Seems like this'll be a good one
8:09 Best sequence ever!
Also 10:38 Ellen, "I hate you ... and also kinda think this is funny cuz everyone else this is funny but please don't make this a thing." (We shall see if this get's edited.)
It's edited 1:28:22, "Goddamnit Johny, okay fine...."
To be fair, Merilwen at least can turn into a cat.
Wouldn't want to be the one trying to domesticate Prudence though,
Well, one is a cat
@@slewone4905 on the other hand, the one on the other hand is a Warlock
This series should be renamed “Dobs failed carpentry experiences!”
I really wish Merilwyns hammock would have been made of spider webs, if only to get Ellen's reaction.
And her pillow a big mama spider with hundreds of babies all over her.
As a fellow arachnophobe, NOPE!
OH NONONONONOPE. THERE WOULD'VE BEEN FIRE FROM MOONBEAM CAUSE NOOOOOPE
I feel like Johnny was hoping for a reaction to the word "silk" from Ellen, and then see how terrified she was by the idea that the hammock may be related to a spider somewhere along the line. she took it at face value though so i think he dodged the idea of traumatising Ellen, when traumatising Merilwen is enough.
In roleplaying games, piling onto someone's phobias is a really shitty thing to do. The whole point is to have fun, not to bring someone to the edge of their anxieties. So in conclusion, you are bad, and you should feel bad.
1:27:14 I was eating noodles, when I heard Johnny imitate a horn, and I accidentally exhale really hard into the noodles, and then I hear "It's the Vengabus!" And my noodles are no more.
"I was a pirate, the best there ever was."
To steal things is my real test, to plunder is my cause!
I will travel across the sea, scouring near and far!
Of course this goes up at 1:48am just as I was about to go to sleep.
Ah screw it. Sleep is for the weak. LET'S WATCH SOME OXVENTURE
It would be cool to have merch with “Don’t be a Dob” crossed off and “Team Basement” written on it in permanent marker.
Oh my god he’s got five aces that isn’t right was perfect!
Corazón just blissfully partaking in the horrors of the house while constantly failing the perception checks is definitely one of my favorite moments in this series 🤣
I think I'm repeating myself every time there's a new episode, but this is worth the cost of internet access all on it's own. Hands down my favorite content on UA-cam.
I would also absolutely buy a blu-ray collection of this.
Best line of the game "better than the last grouting experience".
