Thank you so much Jeffro! I've wondered who she was since I first saw this video on MTV back in the day and now that question has finally been answered.
For awhile, I thought it was actress Lindsay Frost cuz she looks kinda similar and was the right age for that time. But now I would have to agree that it's Dorothy. She was definitely a looker to be sure.
Chicago is not known for their videos -- most of them leave you scratching your head. This, however, is the exception (along with Stay The Night). Terrific music video!!
From Indiana Jones to Casablanca, from Dorothy Mayes to Huey Lewis, from Peter Cetera at the top of his game to a killer horn section--One of all time best music videos ever--truly was the Golden Age of Music videos.
I’ve fortunate enough to have been able to see them in concert twice 35 years apart. Their music 🎶 is timeless and they’ve always performed with some amazing songs! I agree Peter was definitely better as their vocalist!
Low key love how the actor playing the German officer was so smooth coming out the club door, hopping the rail, then again into the side car of the bike, which is already moving.
Simply love Peter´s character - as he escapes turns to the local man to thank him, holds her hand throughout, drives her to escape and restrains himself from kissing her, while it is she who kisses him, yet to save her he pulls her back (not kissing). BTW, as he is going to be arrested he bow tie...WHAT A MAN...says humbly this woman;) P.S. awesome video!

And a frontman who won't tour.
I saw a documentary recently and they were talking about why MTV went from music videos to reality shows in the 90's. The biggest reason was because they realized that many viewers were changing the channel whenever a video came on that they didn't like or during a commercial break. So they decided to go with an hour long reality show to keep ppl watching. I guess it was good move in order to make more profits but not so good for all us music fans.
