Chris I love you man, but almost no living human could beat a cow in a fight. Cows are much stronger than they look. A single kick could cause serious internal trauma and lead to death.
That'd be amazing to have an interview done with a Latin Mass goer. Despite the fact that it's the fastest growing religious group, the Vatican has been having Latin Masses canceled across the globe, including in Austin, Texas. I can put you in touch with the St. Joseph Latin Mass Society who offered Mass there until March. Or, there's a 1:30 p.m. Mass at the St. Dymphna Center of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Dripping Springs, 25 miles from Austin.
I find it fascinating that I am sitting here in a rice field in Thailand at 70 years old and absolutely love your content and presentation. I really love these Q&A sessions so hope you hit your next milestone soon.🙏
Chris Williamson... what an incredible young man you are. (I can say that as my kids are your age:) I have been following you for sometime but have never commented so I thought it was time. Your curiosity is infectious. Your use of the english language is stimulating and a delight to listen to. Your analogies always spark a deep ingrained visual in my mind. Most of all, you're a prime example of what it means to be genuinely authentic and transparent. Finally, you're always open to new experiences and upping the anti. From one podcaster to another (I started in 2010) congratulations! Modern Wisdom is in my top 5 podcasts. Ludwina from Melbourne, Australia xxx
I’m glad you’re noticing people asking for a community. It’s not your responsibility to make one, but there is a massive need for it. As your popularity continues to grow, you may end up in a position to create something unique and meaningful, and if so, I hope you do it. Thanks so much for everything.
Great achievement Chris. 🎉 I love your vulnerability about people pleasing stuff. Struggling with it also. And hearing you (one of my favourite podcasters) talk about it openly, is so comforting. God bless you ❤ and your family. Much love and much good vibes to you
I appreciate it so much that you have ZERO click bait titles and NO ridiculous over powered intro clips, diary of a CEO completely lost me with that shit. I’ve been watching since 100k subs btw, used to annoy you with shit questions back in the day 🤣
I’ve been watching for two+ years. Favorite podcast hands down. I was raised Catholic and for 6 years went to Latin Mass every Sunday. It’s a mystical thing and I recommend the experience.
i recommend Reality. You read about it in the nonfiction section of the library. Whereas the Bible is a fantasy-fiction book with talking animals, talking trees, zombies, 950 year old people, mythical global flooding, etc.
Congratulations on 2million. Been watching and listening since 2020/ 2021. Your insights and perspective have been helpful to me over the years. Grateful and happy for you and all your success and growth.
Hi Chris. Love the podcast, it's been an amazing blessing for me since I discovered you last year. For a solid understanding of the Traditional Latin Mass, as well as all things Catholicism, you can't go wrong with Bishop Robert Barron. He's a superb communicator and very comfortable on a range of topics. He doesn't mind being challenged and in fact revels in it. I think you and he would enjoy a conversation very much.
Learning anything about traditional Catholicism from an Anglo perspective is inevitably useless. Gotta learn from the ones who created it. Any latin-romance based author. You cannot understand Catholicism without understanding what being Mediterranean is. What the Latin attitude is. What our views are, etc.
@@PossibleBat Respectfully, I think what you're proposing is the error that the Orthodox churches fall into...associating Christianity with a particular ethnicity or country. Catholicism - the "Universal" church - can adapt to any culture or ethnicity, drawing out and incorporating the best of them. Which makes sense, as Christ told his followers to "Go out into the whole world" and share the good news. It's amazing and quite lovely to see Christ or the Blessed Mother represented in different countries in their artistic styles.
First off, congratulations on a huge milestone. As an early listener, it's such a pleasure to witness your growth, it's truly remarkable. I'm in awe of your integrity, ambition and perseverance. Keep shining my friend!
Hi Chris! Congrats on 2M 🍻 I don't remember what year it was, but I started listening shortly before you made your 100k video. Great to see you reach this point. The thing I appreciate most about your podcasts is that you will literally talk to anyone on any topic, but also your episodes are usually little over an hour, short enough to finish in a single section of my day like a cleaning session, a commute to work, a round of running errands, etc. Most podcasts I might listen to ramble for literally hours so that they're hard to finish, but your genuinely open-ended curiosity takes the convos deeply into places as unique as your guests are, while the episode timing is a good fit for the schedule. It's like the perfect blend. Would totally join your Discord server if you made one, FYI. Cheers.
Congratulations on your growth Chris. Not that I could’ve changed this because by accident I heard you on Snapchat speaking with DOAC, I wish I would’ve found you earlier! From the first time I heard you speaking I was completely interested in anything you have released. I had to research who you were. The conversations you’ve had gives so much interesting information. I love it. I’m here for it. Thank you!!
Much respect for the growth. I've been around since before the 1m mark at least, and this is genuinely one of the best pods out. Glad to see that real men are still out here doing the damn thing.
My cousin & I are big JRE fans, we noticed Chris’s first time on Joe seemed to have an obvious edge. His second time on, Chris seemed to have won the margin & held the edge himself. Joe & many podcasters juggle multiple balls. This is Chris’s main focus & it shows! Best Podcaster out rn👌🏼🤙🏼
Chris, you are a real human being. An honest man. As you reach more people you just remain yourself. You are authentic and you produce “normal”, fascinating, relevant content. You are a rare find amongst the egos. Other popular podcasters try to be humble while they strive to grow their channels and it becomes about how great they are doing. You are very different and It shows. Thank you. The only other person who manages this with ease is Rogan, he obviously does it because he loves it and he’s unchanged.
Another option for thoughtful Catholic commentary would be Matt Fradd. He's a well-established author and podcaster. He's an Aussie, so the convergence of the two accents would be highly entertaining as well.
"Horses are basically jacked cows." It's this kind of insight into the human condition that keeps me coming back... thank you Chris and congratulations on your milestone achievement.
Congrats on 2mil, you were the tip of the spear when it came to getting me through my first year of engineering. Really appreciate and grateful for people like you man.
I'd like to see Zuby and Chris and Thomas Sowell in a conversation. Your idea would work better with a young smart black guy, as part of the conversation.
Congrats brother man! Your ambition for this is inspiring, reflected in your recent shows and I think we can all agree you greatly deserve this awesome milestone 🍻
Hi Chris, your podcast has become a favorite of mine - pls keep it up! Even more than JP, I’m not lying… As a former priest in a Latin Mass Catholic community, I can tell you that the young and growing demographics in these communities are there for the same reason people tune in to your show. They’ve sensed the shallowness of a secularized world, and they’re searching for a wisdom and goodness that helps us transcend the empty promises the world is always trying to feed us. They know that grounding themselves in a sense of the sacred is the best way to keep making that journey. Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker made a stir recently with a grad speech, and his pitch for the Latin Mass was pitch perfect 👍🏻
Congrats. I totally agree with not doing things for the "sucess"! I've been on a life-changing journey the last few years. I'm disabled and lost my mom, right before the holidays, then covid hit. It was the darkest time in my life with a lot of real problems to struggle through. A handful of healthy choices that were really counter to my feelings at the time has led to a life that is much brighter. I came up with a name and started my own substack and I love it. I work really hard on making each one true and each time I finish an article I feel like I as able to say what I wanted to say, and that feels great, Each handful of readers feels wonderful. Each subject I get organized into an article is a feeling of success and purpose. I don't expect to ever be big, certainly not to the scale you are, but that isn't a reason to do anything, podcasts or whatever. I love it and hope I always do. I love that anybody reads it. What more could you want? Ps. It's reassuring that I'm not the only one who struggles so much to be even mildly disagreeable or who endlessly torments themself over other people s well-being, or feels so much anxiety over the smallest degree of holding your ground. Just learning that not everyone does that, and thus can really take advantage was surprising. I hope one day it's no longer a struggle for me. And in the meantime, I hope I can make healthy choices for myself despite the everest of my own feelings. I know in my head what I need to do, and that it isn't wrong, but doing it seems so impossible, hopefully that will improve. But nice to know I'm not the only one.
Chris, you're one of the biggest inspirations to me. Not only as a person but as a podcaster too. Thanks for your content. Can't wait for next QnA to celebrate!
I loved this episode. A solo episode like this really shows us what you’re like as a person, and personally for me that’s really important, as I’ve been pulled in by other podcasts only to eventually realise that their content is strongly algorithmically & data driven and the host is not genuine or authentic. Also, you may not realise it but when you talked about your insecurities, depression and people pleasing etc, you were perfectly modelling how a man can be vulnerable in a confident way. It’s about owning who you are, warts & all, without shame.
Chris, Congrats on the continued success, and best wishes for the future. As a far left-leaning listener, I am also considering a switch to faith (Roman Catholicism), and I look forward to seeing your growth and where you are heading. Anyway, Cheers! P.S. You're fucking awesome, and I hope you don't allow the criticism to impact you.
Congratulations! Well deserved! Thanks for providing us with excellent content! You're very good at what you're doing IMO😊 Keep up the good stuff coming!
Congrats man, totally deserved! Here are a few guests I think you should look into: Sadhguru - Life, Mental Health & Spirituality Dario Fabbri (Italian but speaks good English) - Geopolitics but with a more anthropological / psychological twist, VERY INTERESTING Dr. Berg - Nutrition & Health Big Love and God Bless
There is no traditional Latin mass in Austin anymore but there is one in Dripping Springs on Sundays at 1:30. About 25 minutes SW of Austin, at St. Martin de Porres church.
Grats on the 2 mil! I need to mention it, the way you handled the negative comments this time felt really good! Also, it's an interesting concept about uncomfortable questions: when is it reasonable? That discomfort when you make someone else uncomfortable is a horrible feeling too. Part of me's afraid that "others' emotional state is not my problem" is the same line of thinking that someone who has an affair with 5 partners would use. "Not my fault they trusted me and got hurt. How they handle their emotions is not my problem." It's like psycho logic and some of those you take it from tend to take pleasure from making others feel uncomfortable which is not behaviour I appreciate. But lying to each-other and solving nothing is no better. I do not have the neuron capacity for this. Regardless, appreciate you guys and your work, keep crushing it!
Hello Chris, I just wanted to drop by and express my appreciation for your content. I stumbled upon your channel through your interview with MrBallen, and since then, I've been hooked. Your Q&A video is particularly inspiring, and it's evident that you have a lot to offer. However, if I may offer a small piece of feedback, I noticed that you speak quite quickly. While it's understandable given everyone's unique speaking style, I'd suggest considering a slightly slower pace. Not only does it enhance clarity, but it also reduces the risk of strain on your vocal cords in the long run. Just a thought from one admirer of your content to another. Keep up the great work!
Long-time follower and fan- I track with your logic regarding the number of episodes you did from a bedroom and the years of relentless grinding, vs ‘the video wall.’ My experience has been that many people seem to judge things in isolation with little regard for the greater context. I also imagine it could be true that you’re not getting nearly the complaints from people that have followed you for a while. Cheers!
The idea of multiple concurrent high profile guest in one conversation hyped me so much! What a wonderful idea. It will be awfully challenging to manage the conversation, not to let strong characters like Jocko or Jordan P. "own" it, but it is worth the risk. I am sure it would be awesome chemistry.
Section on “disagreeing with guests”… I appreciate you sitting with the discomfort rather than rescuing because if you’re coming on a podcast (2+ mill subs) you DO need to be prepared to explain where your info is coming from. And you, Chris, do need to be able to stand your ground because if you agree with every guest, then who is Chris? I appreciate you being consistent, not being easily swayed, but also very obviously being open minded. Thank you 🙏🏼
Some actor, philosopher was talking about Socrates in some outside event, and Socrates was considered as one of smartest men in that period. He explained that Socrates was admitting if he didn´t know something he said "I don´t know." ....while everybody else pretends they know everything. So why should Chris agree or know everything, if it´s not even possible. Just because Chris isn´t fighting back it doesn´t mean he agrees with everything, Chris may be neutral, and say I don´t know as Socrates said I don´t know, despite being very smart man.
Chris, love the show. Any chance you would have a guest on to talk about the influence that birth order has on our personalities? Kevin Lehman (The Birth Order Book) comes to mind. Also would love to see a conversation between you and Fr. Mike Smitz, he has lots of insightful content with his podcasts/youtube videos. He works with college students and probably has some great insights on what’s going on with young people. Congrats on your success, well done!
Chris you should look at Therapy in a nutshell. The woman is so brilliant at explaining emotions and anxiety. One video in particular is called something like “how to stop taking things personally” and it changed my life and relationships. She talks about boundaries and uses a beautiful metaphor about them being like a fence around your garden. How others think is their business, it's their lawn to tend to and not ours. All we can control is how we ‘’mow our own lawn.” I promise it is really good! I think you’d get a lot from her. She’s lucid, insightful and incredibly endearing. She gives practical CBT methods on how to understand your thoughts and feelings in ways that are actually actionable.
Much appreciate your work, you change a lot of my life to be a better person. Thank you I would love Bassem Youssef in your show not because his views which are available but to deep dive more in his journey going from heart surgeon to comedian to political figure in a way
Oh my gosh: YES to a Modern Wisdom dating app!! I have thought about that with this podcast and also Jordan Peterson (and I’m sure there’s some audience crossover there). I know it would be a ton of work, but I do think that if it ever came to fruition that good things could come of it. You could start a mini-series on dating success stories. 😄
Man have a look into Circle for communities. Would be a lovely revenue stream for you if you charged like £5-£10/month, and all of us would be able to chat with and potentially meet each other. Win win. Love your content and so grateful for what you produce man, keep it coming.
I think you should talk to Jan Emanuel (Swedish) about his life as a prankster/gangster in his youth to his political and entrepreneurial life in his older years and now back in politics with a new type of party running for the EU elections to bring about a positive change for the citizens of Sweden and EU. Thank you for your effort you put in to this podcast :)
When I watch modern wisdom, I see traditional wisdom from modern voices. I found your commentary on exploring religion to be hopeful, I think the world is moving back in the direction as the tested knowledge seems to line up with thousands of years of wisdom. If you look at what you expel, and compare it to things that were taught to us through faith. They are one and the same. Unfortunately, corruption has found its way into every facet of life, including “the church “. I hope to hear from you on this.
Great Q & A! I would love to see Justine Bateman and/ or Paulina Porizkova. Also if you want to talk to a guest about faith, look up John Burke. He is the founding pastor at Gateway Church in Austin. He is a writer and phenomenal speaker.
Have you ever thought about the Ali Abdal (the efficiency guru) business model that he discussed on your show? I know you are guest focused where he isn’t, but his willingness to give up some control to have a more varied life seems like an applicable philosophy.
Chris and team, you should get Michael Liebreich (founder of Bloomberg Nee Energy Finance, energy expert, British Olympic Skier and Host of the Cleaning Up podcast) on. He is a true climate and energy expert and you and your audience can learn a lot from him about Climate Impacts, Renewable Energy and Climate Change. Cheers

I usually skip over episodes with no guests, but I’ve learned not to do that with yours. Another excellent solo episode. Thank you!
Chris, you need to speak to Thomas Sowell
I'd like to see Zuby and Chris and Thomas Sowell in a conversation. Your idea would work better with a young smart black guy, as part of the conversation.
For what? The latest neocon talking points? Defending the indefensible?
Everyone tries to talk to Thomas Sowell. theres a reason why you dont see him on podcasts. He doesnt take interviews anymore as a general policy
@@TheYaegerjeusmc tell me you take in the rear without telling me you take it in the rear

Loved the production value of the new videos. Keep doing whatever you want. Congrats!
I really enjoy these. It’s nice to get to know Chris on a deeper level than his typical interviews
Can you talk with Slavoj Zizak, that would be very interesting! Love the show.
I work really hard on making each one true and each time I finish an article I feel like I as able to say what I wanted to say, and that feels great,
Each handful of readers feels wonderful.
Great Episode Chris!! Congratulations on 2 Mils! Love from Germany
I just love your overall intelligence & sensibility; I appreciate your content. Congratulations.
Been watching a lot, and you’re always suggested so didn’t even realise I wasn’t subbed. Congrats on 2 mil 🎉
I love your pushback on the negativity and criticism in this one, Chris, all while maintaining your own optimism and curiosity.
Congrats Chris! It’s been awesome and inspiring watching your growth

Words to live by
Chris, Congrats on the continued success, and best wishes for the future. As a far left-leaning listener, I am also considering a switch to faith (Roman Catholicism), and I look forward to seeing your growth and where you are heading. Anyway, Cheers! P.S. You're fucking awesome, and I hope you don't allow the criticism to impact you.
You said soft cheese and salty crackers...and I appeared! Glad to be one of 2M people here. Cheers Chris from Oz.
You are a vulnerable and inquisitive soul.
Love you back Chris❤
The cinematic production on the latest podcasts are fire!
Congratulations! Well deserved! Thanks for providing us with excellent content! You're very good at what you're doing IMO😊 Keep up the good stuff coming!
Great episode man. A ton of great questions asked and selected.
Congrats man, totally deserved! Here are a few guests I think you should look into:
Sadhguru - Life, Mental Health & Spirituality
Dario Fabbri (Italian but speaks good English) - Geopolitics but with a more anthropological / psychological twist, VERY INTERESTING
Dr. Berg - Nutrition & Health
Big Love and God Bless
Loved this. Congrats on 2M, well deserved!
There is no traditional Latin mass in Austin anymore but there is one in Dripping Springs on Sundays at 1:30. About 25 minutes SW of Austin, at St. Martin de Porres church.
He doesn't even have to go to a TLM, a good reverent NO is great too, I found one near me and now I look forward to going to church every week.
Congrats on hitting 2 million
Love these Q&A’s. Always great to watch these insights that come from interesting questions.
Cheers!
Great stuff! :) Congrats Chris.
I would like to see Chris moderate a Pangburn style conversation between a few key people, done in his style. Could be really fun.
Greg Glassman, founder of Crossfit, would be an excellent guest. Love or hate him he would make for a great podcast.
"Hold on in the desert" preach it, brother!
I love enthusiastic people! They aren't usually needy either :))
I love to say: I’m unique, just like everyone else lol.. congrats on your viewers! I have always enjoyed your show!
The last question and your response was needed to hear. Best answer to that
SUGGESTION: change the thumbnail style to something that reflects the new studio's immersive experience.
Chris ...it's been a long slog but you are officially my favorite interview'er...if you like...
All we can control is how we ‘’mow our own lawn.”
I promise it is really good! I think you’d get a lot from her. She’s lucid, insightful and incredibly endearing.
She gives practical CBT methods on how to understand your thoughts and feelings in ways that are actually actionable.
Congrats on 2M 🎉🎉🎉🎉
What a legend. Always look forward to these
I thought the sets add substance fs. Innovative and impressive 👏
Congratulations, mate. Well deserved.
Dude the high tech background is without a doubt cool.
Much appreciate your work, you change a lot of my life to be a better person. Thank you
I would love Bassem Youssef in your show not because his views which are available but to deep dive more in his journey going from heart surgeon to comedian to political figure in a way
Congratulations 3m
On the merch side look at "American Giant". Quality American made.
Congrats on your continued success.
Chris the community platform/dating app is your thing no joke bro
I’m no professional business man but It definitely clicked for me when I heard that idea
Brilliant Q&A!!! You and this community rock!!! Thank you for this peace of knowledge. Much love from Portugal.
Awesome Q&A, thank you Chris 😊 You should get Ed Winters aka Earthling Ed on the show! Would be a really interesting discussion.
1:15:45 Beautiful answer Chris.
My new favorite podcast, word up to all the homey's who vibe on here and raise it up - fullcircle
Dude you are a unique wunderkind . G-d bless!!!!
Thanks Chris!
Great Q & A!
I would love to see Justine Bateman and/ or Paulina Porizkova.
Also if you want to talk to a guest about faith, look up John Burke. He is the founding pastor at Gateway Church in Austin. He is a writer and phenomenal speaker.
Congrats dude! Celebrate it! :)
The merch story is hilarious 😂🤣
31:38 Pints with Aquinas or Counsel of Trent. I'm Protestant, not Catholic, but I find their channels interesting.
Would love for you to speak with Michael Malice, Dave Smith, Tom Woods about politics, history, economics, dating, education.
That uncommon conversation idea sounds class
Chris check out the Orthodox church !
Keep grinding man
I think you would have a blast with Gabor Mate
Have you ever thought about the Ali Abdal (the efficiency guru) business model that he discussed on your show? I know you are guest focused where he isn’t, but his willingness to give up some control to have a more varied life seems like an applicable philosophy.
“Can we not chew gum and walk at the same time?” 1:21:59
Amen!
Suggestions of people more to the left that you could talk too:
Kyle Kulinski (politics)
Gary Stevenson (economics)
Simon Clark (climate)
Chris and team, you should get Michael Liebreich (founder of Bloomberg Nee Energy Finance, energy expert, British Olympic Skier and Host of the Cleaning Up podcast) on. He is a true climate and energy expert and you and your audience can learn a lot from him about Climate Impacts, Renewable Energy and Climate Change. Cheers
Yes, cheese is a wonderful tool to fascinate a woman. 💕
