The dart shot at the end has no feathers at the end, or lost them while flying through the small hole. Either way, the little flaps seem unnecessary to this setup.

That is freaking awesome. I clearly need to invest in a scroll saw. 😁 Honestly, never dawned on me to use a shuttlecock in that fashion.
I've tried other projects that require drilling through a bolt, that's where all the frustration lies. 😤😤😤...😭

I enjoy the ingenuity of this channel, but seeing someone take a bolt with threads and put it in a hole only to *glue* it in place is mildly infuriating

Yes and no, seeing that it’s a bolt and not a screw, you’d need it just right for the threads to engage. Maybe he didn’t have the just right drill bit and had one close enough but needed some adhesive for support.
