Emppu Vourinen of Nightwish. At first glance, his guitar plays semmed simple, but it's more complicated and he does have unique style of making guutar riffs sounded 'simply enjoyable'. Cheack out Nightwish - Gethsemane, Everdream, etc.

Probably an unpopular opinion, and even though I've outgrown that band, but some of my favorite solos are from the first two Deicide albums. The Hoffman brothers. I just love that particular style of shred guitar.

@@davidzamora9973arch enemy's song writing direction has gotten more and more basic. I would definitely like to see him somewhere he can shine. Even if he's solo. His album conquering dystopia is better than anything he ever did with archenemy

Isn't River Dragon easier then I Voyager sweeps? :p
I wouldn‘t say necessarily, the sweeps are basic six string sweeps… the tricky part here is the little run at the end of every sweep. River dragon is a bit more complex when it comes to picking (mixing sweeps with the cromatical runs), endurance and what not. Yes it gets easier as soon as you got the patterns under your fingers, because it constantly repeats
