I get my hair cut straight although I wear it curly 99.9% of the year. Lol! I get it cut straight because I want as much of the dead ends off as possible. Also I find it more manageable..in terms of tangling and styling when cut straight. I have to keep the balance between perfectly healthy unmanipulated hair and my sanity....my sanity always wins. Lol!

I've been natural for life and I've always gotten my hair cut wet, w tension. She literally parts it off, pulls it, and cuts it off her fingers. I think it's bc my hair is straight when it's wet. It gets coily as it dries. She straightens the rest of her clients to cut.

@@SynergiSalon I did ask my hair stylist about hair shaping but she stated that it’s the same as trimming. I was thinking that there is a difference.
