Very lovely! I'm in love with how you make your on-point skin tones from a limited palette. The way you post-process/edit videos is also very satisfying 😌

I love the way you paint and how beautiful it comes out. I wish I could do what you do but it takes practice. I can't make the colors like you can, I can paint and make it look realistic. muito lindo, Wonderful
Omg 😍😍
Hi Daria, your works are great. Im inpired to continue my art again.
Could you make a video of some of the first paintings and work you ever made? It would be nice to see how your talents have progressed 💕
😍😍😍😍
Your paintings are so beautiful and I was really impressed how you drew the necklace, it seems so easy but I guess it's not
Do you finish the painting all in one day?
I wish haha
No it can take up to a week to finish a painting like this. I worked on this painting over the course of several days, off and on :)
wow
I'm devastated by how beautiful your works are! Wow!
Quick question. How long have you done art?
Our art teachers would be appalled)) They make us paint all the area, not move from one peace of painting to another
Beautiful!
Are you using a medium? Your paints seem to flow so well! I don't see any thick unnatural lines in the painting. What colors of paint do you usually use to make such pretty flesh tones? Type of brushes? These are beautiful!!!
Do you photograph the models for painting yourself? I'd love to know about the process. I love your videos by the way.
Do you paint it using a reverence picture - or just from memory? Love you videos btw❤️
just wondering what kind of paintbrushes you use on portraits and where can I get them, by the way your portrait looks awesome, I do also paint portraits but not that good like yours, thank you fir your time
I love your videos! Can you tell me, do you use references? And where do you find reference photos for your paintings, or do you take them yourself?
I like how calming and inspiring your videos are they really wanna make me go to my easel and start painting immediately :)
Also your paint looks so smooth. Do you use any mediums or paint thinner? And what brand of oil paint do you use?
If I'm new at portraits.. do you recommend starting with color pencils first? And than move on to oil colors?
Does the necklace mean something special to you or do you do it just for fun? Just curious, amazing painting again Daria, I wih I'll learn to know the colours of the skin as well as you do. Keep it up! ♥
Thank you! ❤️
Wow I’ve never actually thought about it, I guess I just like painting necklaces haha
What is the difference between painting with multiple layers and painting with just one just as I noticed you do? :)
I usually don’t paint in one layer unless it’s a small painting or a study.
Painting in one layer means that you paint wet-on-wet, and painting with multiple layers means that you wait for each layer to dry before you paint on top of it with wet paint :)
Do you wait until various layers are dry before you add another layer?
looks like rowan blanchard
what camera do you use? 💕💞 love from greece 🇬🇷
Do you recommend using a medium or can I paint without one?
If you don’t paint in many layers it's fine if you don’t use any medium (like linseed oil, Galkyd, etc) It’s not that necessary. However using some kind of paint thinner is more important and I do recommend that, unless you like painting with very stiff paints.
hey! LOVE your paintings. I was wondering what mediums do you use and can you please do a video on how to use different mediums. Give this comment a like if you agree with me guys!!
What do you use to make the guidelines? Pencil? Charcoal? If pencil than do you seal if with fixative or gesso. Love you work! ❤️
Thanks! I simply use pencil
great video and very beautiful painting... what color brand did you use for this? umm just curious😁
thank you, i use Nevskaya palitra (russian brand) and Gamblin Oil Colors
Can you please demonstrate color mixing for face tones
great artwork Daria thank you for sharing it...i have one question if you can answer, it could be very helpful for me.. how do you make landmarks over the acrylic primer? do you wait 10 minuts to dry?
because now I am confused with the wet on wet technique.. I was thinking that in wet on wet technique you don't wait until your first layer is dried in this occasion acrylic primer
Thank you!!
I prime the canvas with acrylic primer and then wait for some time until it’s completely dry. Then I like to draw the outlines of the subject matter, and only after that I actually start painting.
Just to clarify, the primer doesn’t count as a separate layer in this case; it’s a part of the surface preparation before painting. After that you can paint wet-on-wet or you can paint in layers...
I hope this answers your question :)
Daria Callie thank you very much Daria and keep it up your great work
Hey, Please answer when u can. My art teacher has 4 steps, kinda like layers. First you use ultramarine or burnt umber as watercolor to get the estimated shades. Then you move on to adding color. Then you start adding more color, then more details. But this painting is taking me a while. Idk how much but a lot of time. He also says that I should buy all colors and then mixing. You can only mix 3 colors to get a color because then it will look dirty. I agree with that but idk if I should try primary colors. And he has a painting formula to make the colors and I'm trying to memorize it lol. But do you recomend trying primaries to mix my colors only?
Hi, so your teacher basically tells you to start with an underpainting and then paint in layers defining the details further. If that’s so, it is a widely popular great technique and there is nothing wrong about it, it’s a matter of personal choice: some people like it, some people don’t. Maybe you should try a couple of different techniques and see which one works for you :)
I use a limited palette, it’s the simplest palette to use and it’s very powerful. With it you can mix a vast majority of colors you see in the world around you. The only colors you can’t mix with it are extremely bright saturated colors. And you can get those bright vivid colors in addition to the primary ones if you feel like you need to.
I have a couple of additional colors as well, just in case, even though I always premix my palette just from the primary colors. I may need them for glazing or in those rare occasions when I do have to paint something very saturated.
I hope this answers your question :)
do you paint from reference or just your mind?
I use reference photos
Do you prepare your canvas (like surface preparation) before starting?
Yeah, I usually prime the canvas with grey acrylic primer before starting to paint on it :)
How do you get your reference ?
I take my own reference photos for paintings like this one.
Daria Callie but what about your other pieces as the usually have different faces
How do you store your paintings?
what kind of paper do you use??????? I want to buy one
What painting technique do you use
What type of canvases do you normally use for these types of paintings? :)
The main question is how did you learn to draw?
ME FACINA TU MODISMO...
Y TU!
Do you have a patreon? I would absolutely love to subscribe to you!!
awe fucking some
Seriously??? Still has some dislikes???!!!
I can barely draw a stick figure...
The hair fall over the hands is unatural. It hss to spread out
