After watching this I Hear A Symphony from the RTL Tour, once again I think Miss Laurence and Miss Payne did an excellent job as Diana's Supremes. Of course, like many I would have prefer Mary and Cindy on stage,but things just didn't work out.Actually the critic and public reviews of the show were great, proving regardless of who were the back-up singers, all you really need is Diana Ross. Thanks for posting this wonderful video.
i have never heard diana sing this song in it's entirity since the supremes year. I am so so very glad i went to this show....not realizing that the very next day, it would be canceled. I dont care what anyone says that this show was not a good one just because diana did not have mary and cindy perform. I have said it before and i will say it again.....it showed the world that there were many supremes AFTER she left the group.....
That was GREAT. Thank you. I've been frustrated to hear and see more of the different Supremes hits segments posted from that tour, not just always the same songs. I wish Diana would mix up her newly expanded Supremes hits segment in her current shows, too. What I think a real DMC reunion would've thought of, is to incorporate the original background moves; "Symphony" had background Supremes parts very distinctive that Lynda and Scherrie don't do hear. Plus everybody was too far apart. Thanks!
It's just OK. Would have been far better with Mary and Cindy. Scherrie and Lynda are just there for decoration only. You can't even hear them anyway as they blend in so blandly with the 3 background singers that you can't even see. Although I am thrilled to see and hear Diana sing this song in its entirety, I'm glad I am one of the proud true Supremes fans and stayed away from this farce.

I was hoping that they would spare this song from this horrible travesty of a tour that was eventually given a peaceful death despite the horrible hole it left on the legacy of The legendary SUPREMES. Diane deserved every bit of the humiliation she suffered when this tour was put to death!
@bigtownguy I guess this is why the tour was inevitably canceled. I've seen Diana in concert a few times in recent years at the tiniest venues and she wasn't even selling those out. And yes, it is a travesty.

The failure of the RTL tour proved once and FOREVER that the legend of THE SUPREMES is greater than the sum of any of its parts.............and that DIANE is merely ONE of those parts! This tour was a complete disgrace and Diane deserved every bit of the humiliation that she suffrered as a result of the cancellation of this fiasco!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, while I am writing this, I'm listening to the banter in the background. Between the background vocals and Diane's lead, the voices are totally foreign and, in no way, resemble anything familiar about the orignal recording...........and Diane sang LEAD on this song! To be unrecognizable??????????? As I said, "A Grammy for Granny!"

I remember Oprah used to say on her earlier shows that, when she used to watch The Supremes on television, she always wanted to be Mary. Now, she has forgotten who Mary is and who the SUPREMES were............she's all about Diane.............sickening!!!!!!!!!

Her Latest tour 2010 is nothing but THE SUPREMES REVIVAL TOUR design to try to bring back THE SUPREMES FANS that long have deserted her, me one of them! Here in South Florida were she once packed ARENAS for 1 or 2 nights in Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale & Miami she performed at "Hard Rock" Indian Gambling Hall Hollywood Florida 1 night! I will never purchase a ticket with her on the billing!
This was sent to me thru FB.Wish they didn't do it 'cause this is just pitiful!!! Biggest mistake of her life.The 2nd biggest mistake was those costumes.Looks cheap and not Supreme styling. Gives more reason that this reunion was just to fleece out attention and money from Supreme fans.

None of the members of the legendary trio have ever sounded better as solo acts, The SUPREMES were just plainly a BETTER act than any of the individual members as solo acts.
