Hi, I have a Dodge Charger 2008 SXT My car had the same Red Lightning Bolt whenever I would be at a red light. The bolt would appear and my car would go idle, so then I would have to turn it off and back on again to get it to work again. I read all the possible problems such as the Throttle Body, O2 sensors, PCM/ECU, blah blah blah. I ended up getting a new Throttle Body and the problem was still happening. So, I took my Charger to a mechanic who said it was my PCM/ECU acting up and that it would cost me about $900 to fix it. Now look here, I'm just a 20 y/o college student I don't have the type of money for that. I kept looking for possible solutions and I ended up coming across a comment on UA-cam that said before you start changing the throttle body, PCM/ECU, etc. make sure to check your EGV Valve and see if your gasket is not damaged or missing. I took a look at it and there was the problem the whole time. There was no gasket on my EGR Valve at all. I went to AutoZone and bought a EGR Valve Gasket ( the blue one, cost me about 3-5 dollars) and put it on my valve. After that, my car hasn't gone idle at a red light or stop sign since. Before you start changing all of your parts and taking it to mechanics, check your EGR Valve Gasket. Hope it works! 😄
Bro you were right on point. Just had my EGV valve changed and the red lighting bolt came up on the dashboard and the traction control light came up to. Mechanic told me it was the throttle body. A code said it leaking air around the EGV valve and sealed a gasket there and it worked. No more problems.
My daughter was in her car listening to music and connecting some lighting in her car and she got this lightning bolt light right after she took her car for a drive, makes sense if it's needing battery replacement thank you so much for this video
I got a 2007 charger RT V8 and I hit the gas pedal to the top and it appeared, gladly I just went to the store and then turned the car off and when I got back and turned the car on again the lightning bolt wasn't there anymore, it just appeared for like 3 mins and then it didn't happen again, I got worried and I will check all the things youre saying
Fine started flashing today. I put it in neutral then back in drive, the motor revved but no go. I put it back in neutral then restarted it and no more light
Glad it was just a freakish glitch. There are actually many things that can cause the dreaded lighting bolt light to come on so if it happens again check your battery connections, the battery itself. Even a loose belt, loose connection on the back of your alternator, or a short circuit in your wiring harness can cause this problem. If it happens again don’t go out and buy a new throttle body or accelerator pedal like some UA-camrs advocate until you know what the problem is. Thanks for your comment.

Good advice. Always check the simple stuff before jumping off the deep end.

Thank you for watching.
I have a 5.7 hemi, clean my throttle body every few months. Just spay the flap and wipe with a rag.
