This is untrue, I know rich people who have gotten into Harvard even with mediocre scores, one of them have spend around half a million disguised as "applying" and "communicating" with the university.
I literally learned nothing in college. Never got any internships based on it, never learned anything, never worked in the field. It was a total waste of time and money, not to mention the effort.

since i'm applying now, here's some really good tips: -sign up for college newsletters and whatnot. more often than not, you'll be offered application fee waivers so you don't have to stress about that part. -search for schools that don't have application fees, its a free application and what do you have to lose? -research the college you're currently applying to, then tailor your responses and essays to fit the school's visions -fill out your financial aid NOW. seriously, it takes longer than you might think. you may have to also fill out a css profile. the css profile is like the fafsa, but more detailed. it has application "fees", but most people qualify for waivers -reach out to the admissions office if you really do have any questions- most of them will take into consideration that you've contacted them and it will make you stand out. -ask for an interview if possible -unless your sat/act score is great/above average, go test optional. good luck to everyone applying! feel free to ask any questions below

Bro you broke a good pencil😭😭
rick and morty
Really interesting to see how is it to apply in the US as a French college student
Embellish or even lie. They won't, and likely cannot check the veracity of anything you say unless it's unbelievably ridiculous.
Yeah like let’s say you self report a score of 1600 on the SAT but in reality get a 1200 the college anyways is going to ask for the official test score and if you lie just alone on the SAT that makes your whole application unreliable towards admissions officers
@@xplicitgoofy1015 Obviously he means for Extracurricular stuff. It is quite easy to get away with embellishing, just make it realistic and fit within ur essays.
@@Ash-uf4fv the only part bad about embellishment is that you get into a top school but get extremely stressed and unable to handle the environment bc you lied on your common app 🤷🏻♀️
@@jaslavie you helping in a homeless drive or lieing about that isn’t going to make it more stressful. Most people anyways have the score and work ethic anyways they just didn’t get in cause of their essay

“College admissions is becoming more competitive.” It’s got that scam email grammar.
Love your stories bro 💚
Or just stay at home and go to CC for two years and then stay local for your bachelors and literally save thousands
Yup, honestly no one really gives a fuck about the name of the college you went to after a few years
I know a lot of kids who lied on essays to get into Yale, Stanford, and Harvard from my high school. Pisses me off.

What if you just say “I exist” in your application form?
Why is this even a question
Fuck that, you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. I embellished on my resume and now I’m 4 years into my dream job. Sometimes you need to fake it till you make it, Survival mode style
Well, population is increasing, so does the category of highschool students applying for college, I believe it's time to make highschool more rigorous, and highschools should stop promoting college for "everyone"
Dude I’m already struggling no just make more schools to balance supply/demand. I do agree more people need to consider technical training and non college options. The military is facing a huge recruitment crunch and if you know what your doing you can take advantage of it.
„Rick and Morty, Rick and Morty, Rick Rick Rick Rick“ let him cook!! 🗣️🔥
This isn’t a trap, this is a hole that has a great big glaring “Do Not Step In Here” sign or twenty that are lit like Chicago last summer.
Rare footage of Gohar needing force to break a pencil
College as a whole is a trap imo
RIP PENCIL, WHAT WAS HIS FAULT
A college applicatipn ain't something that luckily I'll have to deal with, in my country its not a biggie but the highschool I picked is specialized in different sectors for certain classes, meaning after I graduate from high school I have a highschool diplome or jow its called ( I am not good in english ) that works almost as good as a basic college' diplome
It would probably be more equivalent to an associates degree, which some students in the US can obtain if they go to very specialized high schools, than a high school diploma.
I found these and I hope I can remember this in collage because they would be so helpful
Better life hack: stop going to college right out of high school... you barely even know who you are yet, let alone what you want your career to be.
You're like 75% right. Not everybody *has* to go to college, ever. The idea that the only way you're going to get a good job is if you get a degree is straight up wrong. Do what your passion is ✌

Lol, my brother became electrician and after four years of on the job training he makes 150,000 at a literal 9-5 job.
What school he went
Median salary of an electrician is $60,000 in the US. I’m very happy your brother has been successful but don’t pretend he’s your average electrician
Also important to know that fields like being an electrician are very taxing on your body and can become incredibly strenuous as you age. Not to mention that it offers very little job security since it is very dependent on supply and demand

Life lesson: unless you’re becoming a doctor, lawyer, teacher or engineer/developer or you have enough money to yourself thru college, don’t waste money on college. Save up the money in those years. Work on your skill set. Start your own business. I’m talking about chefs, bakers, artists, musicians, singers, business or anyone in that field, save up that money and start that business. I really wish I had focused on a skill. I absolutely hated college, worked two jobs to pay it off, and hate the field I’m getting into because I have nothing I love.
The amount of broken pencils is infinite
Harvard is not a top school, anyone with knowledge on university educations knows this, this is pure posterity
@Fitz the dragon Yeah, not in the US though, or atleast not as little, for jobs that don't require international contact
What is considered best? Because the content is the same or worse than any other university, as its content has not been examined or verified with any international comitee. When applying for a job, outside of the US, no one organization will care that you went to Harvard, only your marks, GPA, etc. AND, because Harvard's content is not verified, your marks there will be worth less than in a verified school
This is untrue, I know rich people who have gotten into Harvard even with mediocre scores, one of them have spend around half a million disguised as "applying" and "communicating" with the university.
Getting into Harvard is 8 times easier than getting into IIT.
So it's not hard
IIT is only hard compared to Indian standards, or Harvard is way harder to get into.

You broke a good pencil just for that 1 second clip bro
Watching this knowing i plan to never go to university, cus the highschool i want to transfer to will set me up with everything i need for the job i want (it's not that hard to get into fron what ive heard)
since i'm applying now, here's some really good tips:
-sign up for college newsletters and whatnot. more often than not, you'll be offered application fee waivers so you don't have to stress about that part.
-search for schools that don't have application fees, its a free application and what do you have to lose?
-research the college you're currently applying to, then tailor your responses and essays to fit the school's visions
-fill out your financial aid NOW. seriously, it takes longer than you might think. you may have to also fill out a css profile. the css profile is like the fafsa, but more detailed. it has application "fees", but most people qualify for waivers
-reach out to the admissions office if you really do have any questions- most of them will take into consideration that you've contacted them and it will make you stand out.
-ask for an interview if possible
-unless your sat/act score is great/above average, go test optional.
good luck to everyone applying! feel free to ask any questions below

Gohar out there breaking pencils for his vids tho
I don't remember that kind of stuff when I applied for college. Of course I was a cinch to get in and only applied to the one I wanted to attend. This was when qualifications mattered more than some artificial quota.
Ok but I needed that pencil
