Thing is that the grades are like at the bottom line, it’s like the bare minimum because they’re not impressed since almost every student applying already has outstanding grades. What they focus on is beyond the grades what else can u offer that will set you aside from your peers applying .

But… I just don’t get it how do international students get into Harvard while in my case we have no such thing as president of that and president of this, we have no clubs, no football team..etc we basically just study and have 1 sport class plus we don’t use whatever GTA and SAT are, are grades are on scale from 10 to 20/20, that why it’s soooo hard it’s just like an impossible dream

Went to Harvard after transferring from a small community college. It didn't have a renown faculty with publications
and citations like H but students had much more personal attention. Students are pretty much the same everywhere as one sees from this video. It is ethnic diversity admissions look for not GPA and SAT scores which like IQ tests have been
totally discredited. That appeals to alumni, a very important economic resource. Yes prestige is important, I've been
successfully trading on my diploma since receiving it, but many schools have that. It's essentially meaningless.

How did you get into Harvard from a community college? I’m going to community college, and I want to set my goal high from the very beginning. I want to try my hardest so that I won’t have any regrets. I’m not specifically looking to go to Harvard, but I’m interested in other prestigious schools.

It’s surprising how many people believe that attending an Ivy League school like Harvard guarantees wealth and success after graduation. However, the reality is quite different. In fact, only about 1% of all college graduates become millionaires.

    • @ree5158
      @ree5158 7 місяців тому +1

Yes, but 88% of millionaire are college graduates (according to the motley fool), and while it is true that going to college doesn't make you a millionaire, i'd like to see where you are getting that 1% number from, especially considering there are around 24 million millionaires in the U.S., and I don't think college will on average make you 8 times less likely to become a millionaire. Your literally just spreading misinformation.
You are also forgetting that ivy league schools only make up the top 0.4% of the college student population. According to the harvard website itself, the average salary for a graduate from Harvard Business School is 185,000 dollars a year. That is an amazing starting salary so clearly your wrong.
If we look at fields that are more academic or scientific, the more prestigious institution you graduate from the better jobs you will get and the better research you will know how to do, at that point it ins't all about the money, it's about what you can discover.

Peopley saying 10 is so surprising, in my German university it would like 6 at best 😂because everyone is exhausted (even gifted ones) and our fail rates is like 50 - 80%

well most of the people being interviewed are also first years, exhaustion is going to come from being burnt out.

Imagine if you’d done this just a couple weeks later lol. Go do it now, find out how non-intellectual and non-curious some of the kids there are. I guess it’s not their fault… they’re 18yr old kids who get there and then their professors tell them a very incomplete and skewed and biased version of history and the sociopolitical landscape.
It’s pretty wild to see them in this video and they seem so reasonable and intelligent. Which gives the me impression that you gotta be a good kid to get in to Harvard (obviously lol). And then you see other Harvard students or professors or groups supporting terrorism because their understanding of the history of Israel is sooooo backwards…. it’s just kinda baffling. I think it really is cuz of their professors and peers. There’s no way they start out so crazy.

@sea.of.fruitless.fantasies I don’t have the energy for this because I’ve done this 12 times just in the past week (and I’ve won every single time). In a nutshell: you don’t know the definition of genocide. Israel could erase Gaza, Damascus, West Bank, and Amman off the map in a weekend. If they wanted genocide, there would be a genocide. And frankly it’s an affront to actual genocide survivors to misuse the term like this. Just like calling someone a “Nahtzee” just cuz they’re a bit right wing or smtn (like how Leftists always called Ben Shapiro a nahzee). It dilutes the meaning of words; makes them useless.
So using “genocide” and “concentration camp” to describe Gaza is wildly inaccurate. I can MAYBE see why someone would think it, but that’s cuz they’re ignorant to the facts, have never seen it with their own eyes, don’t know any of Israel’s actual positions and aspirations, nor the purpose or cause behind every Israeli action regarding Gaza.
I'll just copypasta you part of a post I wrote last night with actual data cuz someone else was incorrectly claiming genocide (sources are the UN and the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics):
Estimates from 2018 state 30.5 births per 1k Population vs 3 deaths per 1k population. And that’s JUST Gaza. Gaza has the 39th highest population growth rate in the world at 1.99% (2023 est).
Just to give some context of the effect of ACTUAL genocide (granted, the Holocaust was an especially bad one), in 1939 there were 16.7M Jews worldwide. By 1945 there were 11M (and btw, to this day the Jewish population hasn’t caught back up to pre-Holocaust numbers).
Palestinian population increased by over 14% between 2015-2021. Jewish population worldwide decreased by 34% between 1939-45 (imagine what the percentage decrease would be if we were JUST counting Jewish population of German controlled regions - a more appropriate analogue for the Gazan population). [Of course I'm not saying that there can't be genocides with less than 6M lost]
If they're attempting to genocide them, they're the least effective genociders in history.

TRUE!!! Israel is the defender of society!!! Even though they used white phosphorus on citizens and took over some palestinian homes in the West Bank, Its all because those people were ACTUALLY terrorist sympathisers and they were already planning terrorists attacks on Israelis!!! Even the NAKBA was justified because the UK gave them permission to kick them out of their homes! If people want to come find fault go blame the UK! Israel was just acting on permission... Israel also has the right to a "Premptive strike" like it has in all previous conflicts. Even then, because Gazans are too uncivilised to manage a country and are Barbarians, Israel stepped up and controlled water+controlled food and supplies in and out of Gaza, Saving the palestinains. And the blockade on Gaza was actually to PROTECT gazans, because they would [probably start crashing their planes if they ever had airports and their ships would sink if they were allowed to go to sea. Sometimes Hamas would use water pipes to make rockets. Because of that, Israel has poured cement in crucial water sources for the Palestinains, making the palestinain people suffer and giving hamas a warning. Still, Hamas continues to use them as Human shields. Thus Israel has no choice but to bomb through all the civilians to get to hamas, which is all hamas fault. Honestly, Israel shouldn't even treat Palestinians who were living on ISRAEL's RIGHTFUL LAND that they owned 2000 years ago as humans because they are all hamas supporters and want to KILL ALL THE JEWS. Good on Israel to detain(without trial because they are scums) more women and children from Palestine, because they are saving these children from seeing their family getting blown up as "human shields" and causing them from being a Hamas Militants. Actually, most children deaths in Gaza was actually 10-18 years old?!?!!?! Every palestinain child is a hamas militant at that stage, so the gazan health ministry reporting them as statistics (because their lives are just numbers) IS SOOOOO MISLEADING compared to the ACTUAL 40 BEHEADED BABIES! Good on you for exposing those terrorist lies! The next step is to deport all these Islamic jihadists from our country, making our country truly at peace without the deplorable devil of liberalism and socialism! @@MisterK-YT
