We can’t all afford the type of house she lives in but her advice is practical and down to earth. Anyone can improve their home and satisfaction with styling just by listening to her. Absolutely love her.
Bunny Williams on Quintessence, can’t get enough. Love her tips on breaking up long walls with columns and making ceilings look higher by upping door height!
Living well, Bunny style, is a piece of heaven on earth, perfectly placed pilasters, sanded wall paper to reimagine pink, and those painted walls (omg) who would ever leave? This episode is a master class unto itself and makes one feel inspiration overflowing. Thank you Mrs Williams for always showing the way and the Quintessence Dynamic Duo, Stacey and Susanna, for presenting this marvelous private space. What a great way to start a Saturday morning!!!
We need to remember that the vintage pieces we love today were, at one time, originally a “modern” piece to someone else. Bunny’s homes always show it’s the layering of the collected pieces we love, vintage and modern, that makes the design beautiful and interesting. I love her style, and so appreciate her allowing us into her home. Thanks for the video.
Bunny is simply THE best. I love how she is so giving of her knowledge, so many designers are not. I never understand why you take the time to visit a home and yet you only show 10-13 minutes of your visit with your audience. There has to be so much more that you edit out. Why??
I’d love to grow up to be Bunny Williams. Unfortunately I’m a 57 year old man, but one can dream! Fabulous apartment, lovely woman eager to share her design ideas with us. Inspiring. Thank you.
Lovely apartment. I love the advice of not buying what’s in style. The apartment feels timeless, elegant and very inviting. I could not help but wonder about the pink bedroom. As the light of day changes, does the room have a beautiful glow about it? Thank you.
❤❤❤Couldn't click on the video quick enough when I saw Bunny Williams in the title. I love all your videos but there a several designers who I just love watching and she is one of them. Thank you so much for these amazing looks into their personal spaces. ❤❤❤
Bunny Williams the queen of the mix! This is a master class on layering, and a luxury that is at the same time very authentic and aspirational. Thanks again Stacey and Susanna for a glimpse of a life well lived. Valorie Hart 💙🦋💙
Met Bunny once at a relatives house in East Hampton. Commuted that Friday after a long work week in Manhattan with a baby and a husband that did not drive. I took the wheel and drove my small family out east. We did not have much money and I was very tired. I was a bit intimidated meeting Bunny. When we met I was feeding my baby boy warmed baby food out of a jar. When Bunny saw me feeding my baby she told me I needed a silver dish to serve the baby food. At the time I didn’t understand her and it stuck with me for many years. In the end it was a lesson on how to live a luxurious life. I now serve my meals in a silver chafing dish.
You know there are beautiful houses, lots of them. I think what makes this channel interesting is the way Susanna treats each home and the person inhibiting it. It is caring and tender. And for that I love this channel.
What a privilege to see B.W.’s Manhattan world along with hearing her reasons behind those choices…a master class in design without charge! And all to the thanks of the delightfully inquisitive Susanna Salk!
As always, an amazing video! You ladies are so wonderful bringing such treasures to us. Bunny Williams is incredible and her interiors are so inspiring. I have never thought of myself to be a minimalist and have recently been trying to make myself go that route. It’s just not me and seeing this video today has made me want to pull more of my treasures out, display them and layer! It just feels more like home to me. I will be watching this again … thank you for the joy you bring to us!! This is one of my absolute favorite channels on UA-cam. It’s a gift to us all.
This was like taking a class! Bunny was so gracious to explain why she did what she did in her fantastic NY apartment. Wonderful video. Would love more of this!
Isn't this the most beautiful and interesting living space imaginable? The layering and depth of detail, all brought together by Bunny's perfect eye, make this apartment not just incredibly gorgeous but so cozy and livable. I know what I'll be doing with the beams in my living room now. Thank you, ladies, for always bringing the best inspiration!
Bravo Susan ! Bunny Williams !!! J’adore Bunny Williams. My first encounter with her was at a lecture she gave in Manhattan at a Christie’s seminar and fell madly in love with her work. I have every book she’s written and visited (or should I say made a pilgrimage to ) her home in Connecticut. Have to watch this video several more times.
We adore Bunny too!! And hope you've watched the other videos we have done with her. Enjoy your subsequent views - lots to take in here! - Stacey (behind the camera)
Bunny is a doyenne of the world of interior design. She is a national treasure! This was a master class, and Susanna was perfection in letting Bunny do the talking.
We bought a lot of Bunny Williams' Books. Love her Connecticut home too. The Bathroom is just beautiful. Thank you Susanna for showing all these beautiful homes. We bought two of your books, designers and their dogs. Love both of them!!!
Bunny is Amazing! She's a genius!! The only thing that would have made this video better is to have made it much, much longer. I could listen to her ideas for hours!!! Why didn't you let her do the kitchen? More please!
This was a special treat to see inside Bunny William's Manhattan home. It is absolutely stunning and I loved her advice about buying what's not in style.
I am obsessed with beautiful things, art, fashion, culture, new cuisine, since I was a teenager. I am just a small town southern girl but in my head I am just like Bunny!!
Doesn't matter where you're from! We love that you appreciate beauty and art in all its forms! That's the beauty of the internet - you can be inspired by anyone from anywhere!!
Such a beautiful apartment. Creating a home that is a treasure box is within reach for everyone - it's about the innate sense of design, art, pattern, color, and not about money. As Bunny stated some of her best pieces were found in flea markets and thrift stores.
I love it when people put everything on display, beautifully, tastefully, and abundantly. These rooms are rich with personality, fun and whimsy. Unlike the minimalist craze where one walked into a room that was "finished", but it looked as though it was ready for the decorators to come in and start decorating. This home still manages to be a work in progress even though it is filled with treasures.
I love Bunny's comment about her "Princess" bedroom! My bedroom is very much me and I love waking up to my treasures all around me. Thank you for another exciting and lovely video! As always you never disappoint!
This was a whole master class in interior design. THANK YOU I felt privileged from the moment I saw the foyer. Every minute she threw in another gem of an idea just layers and layers of them...oh to spend a day in her head it must be magic. The treatment of the beams and addition of the pilasters were GENIUS IMO. Thanks again.
I could listen to Bunny for hours!!! Please adopt me :) Was just rewatching her CT home the other day.......her CT home & now NYC home are my dream homes!!!
Finally color color color omgosh all this white, cream and Grey was making me loose my mind. Thank you , thank you Bunny for reminding us that colors are alive and well ❤ ❤ ❤ your home is stunning 😍
Wow, was this maybe the best At Home visit yet? It‘s like a complete interior design course in 13 minutes!! Lots of inspirational ideas here. Much appreciated!
So glad Susanna let Bunny talk without interruption. This video is one of the best Susanna has done lately. I could watch it several times and capture a new idea each time.
Obviously she's right, a good eye is better than spend a lot of money with trends. She's an expert. The bed with Lesage embroidery is a dream. Love the French seats and the painted electric little room.
Yes! Your house is your home! Not a hotel! I dislike (very much) when decorators and interior designers say, oh it's like you're on vacation! Why would anyone who owns a home want that?! It's your home, your domain, and your sanctuary!
I love Bunny’s style and her advice. What you can do with an apartment is inspiring. A home has to be functional, have warmth and needs to be lived in. 🤎
Thank you so much Susanna and Stacey. I’ve been meaning to comment for some time, and it seems like the perfect video to do so on. As a young student in her 4th year of architecture school, I have been bursting at the seams with maximalist design ideas (much to the dismay of my professors). You give me so much hope for a life outside of the trends, and you gave my paralyzed grandma a window to the world. For years your videos have given me an opportunity to connect with my grandmother over beautiful design, our biggest passion. Last year she left this world, but every time I see your videos, it feels as though we are together again. This is the power of design. Thank you for bringing such joy into my life, your videos really make a difference 💗
Oh my this brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story!! I can’t imagine a more meaningful tribute to our series! And you stick to your guns - there are plenty of architects out there who appreciate a maximalist point of view (I almost went to architecture school). So thank you again and stay tuned! - Stacey
Bunny gave very good suggestions for the ordinary as well as the luxurious home - place objects on book shelves as it makes them stand out. I like the sliding shelf at the book shelf wall to rest the book on. She thought of everthing. And very good point to not buy furniture or things that are 'in'. Wonderful video, home, and host. Love from sunny Sydney, Australia.
I absolutely love this space, it makes me happy. Those complaining about clutter and "dusting" don't understand how much joy you can get from creating your space with the tiniest details; they should just keep watching HGTV for their cookie cutter white box homes.
Everyone has their own "clutter threshold"; the point from which on something additional would just be too much. Besides that, I wouldn't be surprised if people like Bunny Williams have household help to do the dusting (plus other tasks). It makes a difference if you are in your own. "Will you enjoy dusting this?" is a legit question before buying something that isn't a necessity. Because we'll have to once we bring it home. Totally preaching to myself here... 😉
I love Bunny Williams so much!! Love her style!! She's so welcoming and down to earth, also admire her realistic approach to interior design!! This was a fantastic tour!! 🤩🤩🤩 Thank you!
I love the layering in this apartment. The design is gorgeous, and Bunny's treatment of the mirrored bed is wonderful. She is such an interesting person to listen to. It's always a treat when you release a video, but I agree with the other subscribers that they are not nearly long enough!
This lovely lady is a genius at mixing patterns, and that's just the start of it. The colors and tones that fill spaces, plus the patterns make it look like a painting. I like how she made a place for her cherished objects without it looking awkward. Everything fits like a beautiful puzzle. PS. The princess room is my favorite. It's the pink papered wall and green dresser. And mirrored bed. And all the little touches.
Bunny Williams is the Boss of All Bosses in interior design. Nobody does it better. Oooh, and that terrazzo (?) patchwork floor in the kitchen is to die for!
Amazing place..the American way..she was truthful about contemporary art..where to find it...for less. If you love it..buy it.. Absolutely AWESOME foyer color...bring serenity to her apartment.. is like opening a hallmarks card that is close..and when you open, it's full of beautiful surprises and the more you look..the more motivated you feel. She continue educating about living with the things you like.. Susanne THANK you for this...it makes you come home and pull the things you have in the drawer and display them.. for the joy of our soul..Amen
Those hand painted walls are stunning! The artist,Robert Christian, is extremely talented. Could you please interview him sometime. How could an owner ever sell their house, they would have to leave those glorious walls behind! You don't have to ask Bunny questions, she basically does her own interview. Her stories are captivating. She can explain a stack of books on the floor as a well planned artistic element! The mirrored canopy bed is brilliant! Love the custom canopy she had made at La Sage ?? Did she say her.bathroom color is in risi or grisi or brisi? Bunny's decorating tips are priceless; breaking up a long hallway, elevating doorways, and adding columns. Everything is different but works so well together. ❤ love it! Thank you!
Our pleasure and agree - Bunny's tips are indeed priceless! And yes, Bob Christian is so very talented. His work was also featured in our video with Kate Brodsly!
Had to stop, rewind and restart soo many times as kept drifting off with so many visions of how I could incorporate such a masterclass in design in my own home. Bunny is pure class! Always such joy to have a new video uploaded, thank you xxx
I just adore Bunny, she is an icon. I recall when I was a teenager, and I believe read about her maybe in Vogue or T&C & saw her work and just fell in love with her aesthetic. I really like what she said - buy what you like and eventually you can always find a place for it (I have found this to be so true).
Outstanding! Such a talented designer... I always notice that the gift of Bunny William's rooms or homes seem to take on an understanding of how life is lived in every corner. There's a thoughtfulness to even the smallest detail... I wish she'd left her jigsaw puzzle set up in the dining room, it's like it belongs there to escape into. Very beautiful.
So happy to see Bunny again. I've been in love with Bunny Williams ever since "An Affair With A House" came out. She's been a huge influence on how I approach garden design and home decor and design over the years.
Isn't she wonderful? I came up to Ms. Williams at the theatre one evening (pre covid) and told her what a big fan of hers I am, and she couldn't have been more gracious. Looks like everyone is finally getting back into town!
I love the way she layers so well. Beautiful colors and she thinks everything through. I love the way she has made what is a very expensive abode, and decoration, combine to feel like a home! No wonder she is so acclaimed.
Have always loved Bunny Williams style. I also like to mix books with objet d’art on the shelves, she is right it makes your special collectables pop and draws the eye. I just love that blue glaze in the entrance hall and the X shaped mahogany coffee table in the library. I’ll have to watch a few times to really absorb all those details I missed on my first viewing. Thanks so much, another wonderful tour. From Australia.
Absolutely stunning! Bunny Williams is one of my favorite Designers. She shared lots of wonderful ideas with us and the collections are marvelous! How nice of her to share their Manhattan home. Thank you. Beautiful video Quintessence 💕
This is my idea of a fairytale. What a magical place with tons of beautiful designs, books, character, warmth, coziness, art, quirkiness and love all blended together. Thank you, Bunny, for letting me into your world!
Love the mature designers that you often feature Susannah ! They are of the Pluto in Leo generation and it clearly shows in their work ; very flamboyant and colorful designs and yes, maximalists are found in this generation. (Basically the Boomers) We will not see beautiful and extravagant designs like Bunny’s after this generation leaves our planet. Enjoying their contribution to the interior design world as much as I possibly can ❤️
Fascinating 😮 now that you say it. The pink and gray room ..from 80s 💗 Chintz being featured in Dutch museums will be making its way back into fashion and decorating I'm thinking
Oh my gosh, the interior design is brilliant, love, love every room. Each room has a theme but it also flows with the entire home. It is so gorgeous, I am not a minimalist at all. This home has found the perfect balance of colors, flow, decoration and integrating the old with the new. Thank you, I get so many great ideas for my own home.
@@quintessenceblg Thank you, I have been watching your videos for a while, I watch them over and over again, and just when I thought I had reviewed them, I find something new in the videos again! I like watching all of them, Howard Slatkin, Miles Redd, Bunny Williams, and Alidad, my gosh, they are brilliant designers. Your videos are phenomenal, we get to learn how to decorate, thank you so much for sharing.
Although not my style, too much together, I appreciate the beauty and true individual style of this lady, is not a copy paste home like most places nowadays, it’s quite unique and personal.
I was so excited to see this new presentation pop up this morning! Bunny helps me appreciate the many beautiful things that we can find out there and make them work in our homes even when they are of different styles and periods. Thanks Q (Susanna) for doing this. Oh, and the intro music always makes me happy. 😊
We can’t all afford the type of house she lives in but her advice is practical and down to earth. Anyone can improve their home and satisfaction with styling just by listening to her. Absolutely love her.

I like how she made a place for her cherished objects without it looking awkward. Everything fits like a beautiful puzzle. PS. The princess room is my favorite. It's the pink papered wall and green dresser. And mirrored bed. And all the little touches.
So glad you enjoyed!
Bunny Williams is the Boss of All Bosses in interior design. Nobody does it better. Oooh, and that terrazzo (?) patchwork floor in the kitchen is to die for!
Ha! I like that - Boss of All Bosses - glad you enjoyed!
Another great video with Bunny Williams. She is a fabulous designer. Her rooms are so warm and cozy and feel lived in. Thanks Quintessence
Totally agree! Thank you and our pleasure!
I could listen to her talk about her ideas of design all day! Thank you!!!
I love that Bunny has the chairs alongside the bed for the dogs to get up and down. Real life!
Yes!!
@@quintessenceblg thank you. I'll take a look at more of his work on your other video.😊
The kitchen and kitchen floor design and colors are gorgeous. Thank you, Susanna and Stacey, for the new visit with Bunny Williams.
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching Barbara!
The painted floor looks great with the mirrored and you both look lovely in the pink room.
Had to stop, rewind and restart soo many times as kept drifting off with so many visions of how I could incorporate such a masterclass in design in my own home. Bunny is pure class! Always such joy to have a new video uploaded, thank you xxx
LOL love this and our pleasure!!
I just adore Bunny, she is an icon. I recall when I was a teenager, and I believe read about her maybe in Vogue or T&C & saw her work and just fell in love with her aesthetic. I really like what she said - buy what you like and eventually you can always find a place for it (I have found this to be so true).
We adore her too! So glad you enjoyed - so many pearls of design wisdom!
So true and I'm sure there will be another puzzle set up very soon! Thanks for watching!
So happy to see Bunny again. I've been in love with Bunny Williams ever since "An Affair With A House" came out. She's been a huge influence on how I approach garden design and home decor and design over the years.
Always love seeing B. W. and her impeccable taste. Thank you.
Our pleasure!
I totally agree!
Me too! So much to admire and learn from Bunny! Thanks for watching and glad to see Australia has reopened!
I so love Bunny Williams and her designs! Thank you for sharing!!
We do too and our pleasure!
Absolutely stunning! Bunny Williams is one of my favorite Designers. She shared lots of wonderful ideas with us and the collections are marvelous! How nice of her to share their Manhattan home. Thank you. Beautiful video Quintessence 💕
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed and yes so many great tips!
she has a story about every inch of her home and her style is beautiful and timeless. I just love her!!
🐇😊❤
This is my idea of a fairytale. What a magical place with tons of beautiful designs, books, character, warmth, coziness, art, quirkiness and love all blended together. Thank you, Bunny, for letting me into your world!
So glad you enjoyed!! It is indeed all those things!
what a beautiful, beautiful home, exquisite taste! I love all the interesting components, mirrored bed, painted floors, grisaille walls and chintz!
So glad you enjoyed! It's a design master class!
Classic designers and old school practice is always so inspiring! Love her dining/office/library room. So much to learn!
Right?!
When Bunny speaks...I listen.
Hah hah me too!!
Me three!!
I love Bunny Williams ... her decorating and everything about her. She’s a lady I wish was my friend.
I had nearly died of excitement when I saw Bunny Williams bathroom! WOW!!! The whole house is gorgeous, but bathroom is an artwork. ❤
It is indeed beautiful! Glad you enjoyed!
I could listen to Bunny talk about design all day!
An absolutely gorgeous yet very warm home. Just Beautiful!
Agreed! Glad you enjoyed!
If you feel an emotion from a form of decorating, it tells you something about yourself. Thanks for the tour!
You are most welcome!!
That's my favorite mode of decoration....it's warm, cozy and inviting.
It really is!
Love the mature designers that you often feature Susannah ! They are of the Pluto in Leo generation and it clearly shows in their work ; very flamboyant and colorful designs and yes, maximalists are found in this generation. (Basically the Boomers)
We will not see beautiful and extravagant designs like Bunny’s after this generation leaves our planet. Enjoying their contribution to the interior design world as much as I possibly can ❤️
Fascinating 😮 now that you say it. The pink and gray room ..from 80s 💗 Chintz being featured in Dutch museums will be making its way back into fashion and decorating I'm thinking
Thank you, one of my favourite tours ever. So many adaptable ideas for modest/limited spaces. Thank you both
We agree! Bunny is so generous with her expertise!
So happy to read that!! Exactly our goal - to inspire you to incorporate a version of the ideas from these iconic designers for your own home!
@@jackiemederos3138 Thank you Jackie!! Made my day! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Bunny is so generous with her knowledge. Packed with great advice. Thank you
Totally agree! Glad you enjoyed.
Thank you ladies!! Bunny is so practical and warm. Love from the Cotswolds UK

@@Cotswoldblonde would love to!! 👍🏻🙏🏻
Yes ‼️ Everyday IS a Celebration. 👏🏽👏🏽🌸💕🌸👏🏽🌸🌸
Indeed!!
Love Bunny's Style! She is Legendary in the Design Community💜
Although not my style, too much together, I appreciate the beauty and true individual style of this lady, is not a copy paste home like most places nowadays, it’s quite unique and personal.
Agreed! And thank you for open minded comment.
This so helps me resist the temptation to minimise my French country farmhouse,Thank you Suzanna and Bunny for a scrumptious video
Happy to hear it!! And our pleasure! - Stacey (behind the camera)
I was so excited to see this new presentation pop up this morning! Bunny helps me appreciate the many beautiful things that we can find out there and make them work in our homes even when they are of different styles and periods. Thanks Q (Susanna) for doing this. Oh, and the intro music always makes me happy. 😊
Our pleasure!! So glad you found inspiration and practical advise! - Stacey (behind the camera)
One word: Incredible. BW is supremely talented. Everything she touches is pure gold. Loved love love ❤️
Yes she is - so glad you loved!
