I love my Tesla LR, I like the extra range over the Performance. The Performane is a wonderful car that I’d love to own, but the LR has all the performance, handling and comfort I want and need. A great and fair review of a true performance car . Thank you. PS. My car has no rattles and the build quality beats the last European car I owned. It’s excellent!
I've opted for performance M3 VS LR, suspension and seats are just brilliant for a small price increase. Best but by a mile if your in the market for something like this
If only it was 10k cheaper. Don't bother taking it to the track, though, as the brakes and probably the battery will overheat in only a single lap. Its a great road car only
My autism is triggered by calling it a "Plaid" badge. It's not Plaid badge. It's ludicrous badge. Go watch A Space Balls and get your Easter eggs straight.
I track a 2018 type R and it’s seen 6 years of track. Only mod was lowering springs, and wheels tires. No overheat issues and it’s pushed hard. While my 24 M3P is faster in a straightline it won’t be able to handle 20 minutes of circuit racing.
@kchen101 TypeR isn't a comfortable car on the streets. It's also not as brutal as a performance EV, hence it doesn't overheat as much, nor does it require as much braking power. In fact, the type R is slower than most other performance ICE car. The M3P was never intended to be used on tracks. In the future, I'm sure they will have better cooling mods etc for the EV battery.
Well that was my point - the 24’ M3 P is not good for the track because it overheats after 1-2 hard laps. Sure the type R is not the fastest but the point of being on the circuit is to lap for 20 minutes straight without worrying about heat issues and pushing the car to be faster each time. Type R did a 7:43 at the Ring - that isn’t slow. I have no issues keeping up with older M3P - they are faster on the straight but barely pull after 60 mph and is 1k heavier around corners.

Nice cope. The performance can get the same distance as the LR if you swap to lighter wheels.
You can mount 18” wheels and have same range as Long range
There aren’t many superchargers in Australia… that’s a myth. Hopefully there’ll be more rolled out soon.
That’s not a plaid badge, it’s a ludicrous badge. They are slightly different.
My bad! They look super similar
Insane 🤷🏻♂️
my understanding is plaid reserved for usage of Tesla’s carbon fiber wrapped motor

Yup, and if you buy a set of 18” wheels you’ll get same range as a LR.
thisa is superior in roadtrips compared to any ice car
Whats happening? no more reviews?😥
What happened to Martin? why no new uploads? 😢
Here in Croatia, this car is cheaper than the GOLF GTI, and quite a bit

Why does it look purple when I know is blue metallic 😅
Is this channel finished? Please answer.
I have no issues with build quality, you must have received an odd example

Relax buddy
@@RJ-cv2uw might aswell call BMW M-badge an AMG badge then.
Who cares bro, chill
Y’all in the reply went right over the autism part 💀
Not a plaid badge
not a good track car because of overheat issues - great on backroads. I have the US version with the different battery
Most unmodified 'sport' cars are not good track cars. Whether ICE or EV, they will have overheating and brake issues.

My reply was to OP stating the car is better to push on track when it can’t do more than 1-2 hot laps. I love my M3P btw
