The DEWALT MudShot™ is a patent pending, gas-pressurized compound applicator tube that eliminates the strain of manually pushing the compound out of the tool during the traditional finishing process with a corner applicator box.
FASTER than using a corner application box & less trips to the pump.
EASIER to use and easier on the wrists & shoulders.
SMARTER - the MudShot™ is a Money Maker.
Product Features:
No twisting or trigger for activation! Simply depress the nozzle to initiate flow by applying light force against the tool while it is on the wall.
High gauge but lightweight aluminum handle tube that has been hard-coat anodized for extreme durability and easy cleaning. Rubber handle sleeve for added comfort. Precision machined female connection for adding optional handle extensions.
Oversized clear polycarbonate compound chamber that provides outstanding capacity for less trips back to the pump. Premium quality urethane seal.
Extra strong gas cylinder provides 82lb of pressure - enabling the use of thicker compounds and better flow, while still being easy to fill.
Stainless steel ball end is compatible with the corner finishing attachments of most leading manufacturers.
Spring loaded filler mechanism fits all pump filler nozzles.
Quick release latches for easy disassembly and cleaning.
Simple design for reliability and easy repair.
GUARANTEED TOUGH®. DEWALT automatic drywall tools are backed by a 10-year limited warranty.

Drywall Mudshot was my name in College.
HELL YEAH. I OWN EVERY DEWALT TOOL AND HOW TO USE THEM. LOL. BUT SERIOUSLY , TAPING WAS MY WEAKNESS. I CAN KNIFE AND PAN. NOW I WILL GET DEWALT MUD TOOLS. AWESOME !!
Not useless for me. I'm about to drywall a house myself, never done it, need to know what tools there are.
Dont buy this over priced thing. Get yourself a pan,a 2, a 4, a 6,a 8, and a 10 inch knife just in case. Watch a few videos on here of the pros doing it n you'll knock that house right out.
Don't buy a set of these tools unless you have experience with them. Your best bet would be to hire a tape-bed and texture contractor. Most painters are your best bet. That set of tools will run you upwards of $4500 for the complete set and your only going to use them once. Now if you want to get a set of hand tools you can buy them at home-depot
@@brandonbrown5351 Not really for the slightly above average yahoo guy wanting to attempt drywalling himself? Good to know. I still have a lot to look into, not doing anything yet. Thanks.
@Phil Mccrevasse I live in a very secluded part of America. No Mexicans to hire. Besides, I'm doing the job MYSELF.
@@joshlewis575 Appreciate your input. Don't need overpriced tools for a one time project. I'll end up doing what you mentioned!
Really like mine so far.DoubleR Drywall parksville vancouver Island
Ohhhh desalt trying to get in the game I see you.
I got mine 2 weeks ago and it’s great and faster then doing corners by hand. But the only problem i have with it is it’s hard to pump the mud in. But still great for doing corners
Have you found a way to pump it that's better? It's incredibly hard to pump up
@@davekroske231 needs oil
@@davekroske231 prefill it with water and make sure the entire inside of the tube gets wet and then empty water out and make sure your mud is watered down enough. Thicker mud is harder to pump
I need to push hard on mine. Not sure why ? Oiled it up had mud thined down
I want one
I put "Lamar snorts drywall" into search engine, and got this. pretty close i guess
What about closets....can it be made smaller for closets
Its already smaller than a traditional angle box, it looks identical to the mud runner so their is no issues with small closets.
All that replaces is an auto angle tool, which, on the west coast of USA is the norm. We also use an auto taper, known as a bazooka. They have automatic tools(Tape Tech, etc.)for all the steps in drywall finishing, and the clean up is not hard at all. Most easy coast tapers tape by hand, on the west coast we tape with auto tools all the time except for small repair jobs.
Not sure what you're talking about but people on the East Coast use bazookas too sounds like a bunch of nonsense and this tool for inside corners. It replaces an angle box and is way better no comparison holds more mud takes less pressure
@@bobs6129he's not wrong is he's in Canada almost nine of us use bazookas lol. And I'll tell ya j can tape. Just as fast Beleive it or not 🤷. I've heard nothing but BAd from this tool leaking, hard to get the mud out Ext. Tbh corner boxes and alm that are junk! They only work in places that are borded very well. Come around here you will just have a huge headache. Use a super taper for inside corners then use a Columbia combo flusher then all you need to do is load. The second coat with a applicator and a tube and a reg flusher and then sand and done! I see guys putting an extra step with all the se fancy tools and theirs absolutely no need lol
Still need to be good with hand tools. Only saves time in a commercial application. Not for the typical home owner like the woman trying it out. You might think it’s cheaper than paying someone.....think again.
Just got mine bud no mudshot sticker
Can i use the North star 3.5 angle head with it???
Looks good but Ames are the one and only real mudd tools.Tapeworm and other companies have tried to reproduce the boxes and bazookas but always seems to be some kind of issues with them. Only question I have is are they as easy to repair as AMES when you catch a screw head with the blade on the boxes or the chain breaks on the head of the bazooka.......
Only inconvenience i found on this tool is to hard to pump compared to tapetech mud runner.
i like the idea, but the capacity is very lacking considering the cost
The tape tech one is fucking phenomenal.
Where can i get parts to fix it its leaking alot og mud
I got old school tools. Guess what..still working. Fits in a pail, easy to clean. Makes me money
And also takes over twice as long, done leave that part out..
@@franccamaj488 twice? Im probably about six maybe eight times faster than a hand finisher with automatic tools
@@bobs6129- I’m just learning mine, so give me some time lol..
@@franccamaj488 yeah you'll get ridiculously fast don't worry.
Do you have to load it with the pump or
can you use the corner applicator?
So... how does that help when it’s Not applying the tape,, does it have a tape attachment because if it doesn’t that means you still have to get up there to tape it,,,
Taping is the 1st step in the process, this tool has nothing to do with taping, that part is left to a banjo or bazooka. This is a finishing tool..
You tape the angel with a bazooka first! Then you follow that step with this tool ,to cover and finish off the tape! It takes some time to get the feel for the tool, but once you get the touch its super fast!
Not working
Hi thinking of getting one .anyone here have one? How you like it.?
Love it, never going back
Got mine since 2 week . Love it so far
Use a tapetech mudrunner, and I would never go back to using an angle box there's no comparison if I could only have one tool for finishing it would be this but the tape tech not the DeWalt. Next would definitely be a bazooka you really don't need the other tools but they're definitely a perk
@@bobs6129 thanks for the reply. I bought the mudshot. It works great and don't need to twist handle like mudrunner. I also run columbia boxes. Will get tapetech or Northstar boxes next time.
@@Ocanadakiter you don't like Columbia?
If you get to a point in your career where you consider this to make your life easier. Its time to pick a new career. If your just doing your own home.. you definitely don't need this.
Whomever is interested in this tool isn’t just doing their home. Why would you post such stupidity? Doing taping by hand is 2-3 times more work, what on earth is going through you brain questioning why someone would want to speed up the drywall process?
@@franccamaj488 So you just spammed anyone critical of this tool. Do you work for Dewalt or something?
Greg Ireland-I have a tape tech mudrunner which is similar, but also want ppl to know automatic drywall tools are far superior to hand finishing and not listen to inexperienced ppl like yourself.
@@franccamaj488 Sounds to me like you buy expensive tools and need to justify that to yourself by yelling at people in the comments. I'm glad you like your tools. I hope you make a lot with them as I do mine.
Greg Ireland- I justify buying tools like this because they are much faster and leave a better finish then doing by hand, and to inform others that ppl like yourself don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. A professional with automatic tools will run circles around you. That’s just a fact
b s bought with extension to do 10 foot ceiling had to put as much pressure as i have to use with conner boxes. SUCKS super disappointed
Yeaa I bet.im disappointed how hard its to pump.im making a mess
You're doing something wrong because you shouldn't have to apply any pressure at all if it works like the mud runner you just twist the handle a little bit in the mud comes out it works like a caulking gun
@@bobs6129 it doesn't work like a mud runner. There is no twisting the handle. That's suppose to be the big thing about it.
@@michaelcarson4887 I don't understand what the big thing would be about it the mechanism still the same one you push one you twist the handle I'd rather twist the handle than push any day of the week if you want to push the handle you could just get a mud tube they've been making them since the 60s
@@bobs6129 you dont push the handle. Nothing happens with the handle sir. It's all at the head of the mud shot.
I'm sure you have seen a lot my friend but tools ate changing.
Like at the moment I just got back into finishing on the side. I use to run hockey boxes and things like that. But this go around I am running a compound tube. I actually like it better than my old hockey box.
Your tools are copied from tape tech
Doesn't look like it applies tape. I'll stick to a trowel and paper tape. By the time you get the consistency right, deal with inevitable flow issues and clean the thing out I doubt it's faster.
If you think doing drywall by hand is faster then automatic drywall tools you should have your head examined.. if you’re taping a closet, sure by hand is quicker, but if it’s a project I’ll have it done 2-3 times faster with a better finish. You don’t even know what your talking about you dinosaur!
@@franccamaj488 Wow you're pretty passionate about your drywall. I've been on countless job sites and have yet to see one professional drywall person using anything but hand tools unless a texture is involved. This thing may be great and I hope it is, but for $850 and $400 for accessories I won't be trying it.
Please seek help for your anger issues.
Greg Ireland-pointing out how terriblely uninformed you are has nothing to do with anger. I don’t know what rinky dink jobsites you’ve been on, but I haven’t seen new construction drywall dine by hand since the 90’s..
@@irelandgrt As a taper myself I can say I havnt seen any other tapers not use bazookas or taping tools. Hand tools are for wiping in , touch up and patches. Dude is right, you are a dinosaur bcuz nobody has hand taped since the early 90's
@@86faST13 I'm not a drywall guy but I am good at it. I've been on countless job sites and have only seen reels, mud, and trowels and the guys who were doing it were crazy fast. If these tools help you than great. If you read my comment down further you'll see that I looked into this tool and it does work well. But for $850 and $400 for accessories it's not worth it to me.
What I find really fascinating is what angry little bitches you guys turn into while discussing it.
Just another over priced gimmick. This is not needed to mud joints.
For an amateur you’re right, but if you wanna test your speed by hand vs this tool in the finishing process, you’ll get left in the dust.. it won’t even be close to a competition
Franc camaj
love the back handed reply.
Larry Dicus- just trying to inform you that you’re wrong. All automatic drywall tools are expensive but not only are they unbelievably faster then by hand, but also leave a better finish. There is a reason why all professional drywall company’s use tools like this. You sound too inexperienced to even comment
@@franccamaj488 yup you are correct, my Dad owns a drywall company and nobody uses hand tools except for touch up and wipe in. Bazookas , 10 and 12 finish boxes , and angle boxes for corners. Only thing done old school is stick sanding.
@@franccamaj488 i agree ...im buying a mudshot on Monday

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. This complicates the whole process and I’m sure not easy to clean
