In this video I go into a lot of details to compare the Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo and the Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay instant hybrid cameras. Hybrid camera means that both cameras take digital images that can be then printed with the integrated printer. Each camera also allows you to print from a smartphone (iPhone or Android).
I look at the design and features of each camera, such as flash, tripod mount, dials, film effects, lens effects and print borders.
Then I compare in detail the image quality between the two cameras. I took at four different scenes, two landscapes, portrait and a street photo.
At the end of the video I give you my recommendation about this camera is better.

Thanks for this extensive review! I have the LiPlay and thought the films I bought was fake because the images I print looked strange. So it was green-ishly weird all along and that's just how it is.

Thank you very much for the detailed review and comparison. I was also having a hard time procrastinating between the two. After watching, I took the plunge and got myself an Evo. The image quality is definitely more crisp and detailed as compared to LiPlay. :)

Hey great video! I have a question. Dont you think the LiPlay takes/prints photos more like instant/polaroid camera? The pictures printed from the Evo look more like a standard good quality digital camera. LiPlay gives that vintage or traditional instant/polaroid camera look to photos. The older cameras in the instax mini series e.g. the mini 90 and the mini 40 also give the same look as the LiPlay to photos. It would be great to have your advice. I cant really decide between the Evo and the LiPlay. Which one should i buy
I tried both, bought the LiPlay first then sold it to get the evo, personally I prefer the evo it has better quality better lighting or exposure and the camera looks really good if you’d go for looks xD the LiPlay was decent but didn’t like how it darkens the pictures and it does look like the pictures from instax mini cameras which are always dark and not very detailed. Choice is yours go with what you prefer

great video cause i am looking for printing but my mini evo seems the printing quality is better on liplay. so i am gonna buy liplay soon
lt's really hard for me to pick or choose between one of the 2, both have diff good feature. I generally think the liplay printed film looks better than the evo but for the picture in the camera l think evo looks better. l've watched many video of both camera comparison but still can't decide. l'm planning to buy it for traveling, taking random pictures with my family and l'll also be using some of the films. I'm also looking for a camera that shows the reality of what we see or looks similar to the iPhone camera (both when printed and when taking a pic) and last longer because l'm not planning to change the camera every year when instax release a new one. So, which one would u recommend to me?

@@matejphoto I ordered both as the Evo wasn't to arrive until late March but they both came on the same day. I've only opened the Evo as that was the one I really wanted. I also have an optical viewfinder coming for it. I like the looks of the Liplay but probably will return it...

The Neo 90 recently went up in price. And the LiPlay is discontinued so it is probably discounted.
