@@DominicPhillip3rd party but they fit just fine and cost pennies. The silicon one is best and you have zero chance of scratching the camera. Available from AliExpress, Amazon ones are mainly aluminium and too hard for my liking.
Question. Is the build quality on Leica better, same or worse? I find that build quality of this camera is somewhat poor. It's not just the cheap-ish plastic but how the buttons feel. Notably, the backside panel with built-in LCD display has some serious free play when it's closed and a cartridge is loaded into the camera. Also, the On/Off button has too much free play as well. So, is it any different on Leica?
The Leica feels a bit more quality, but I can't attest to the long term durability. The fuji has been great and I've had it for years, but I do worry a bit that the Leica wouldn't hold up if dropped.
@DominicPhillip there are always excuses for being scum humans, tyrants, and criminals. Good people are required to call them out. Getting paid to review or advertise products is one thing, screwing consumers for money is another. We've tolerated it for so long that people telling the truth about garbage companies and products are attacked. It has to stop. I have nothing against the Leica, and if people want to buy for it for the name, more power to them.
These two camera are same camera but just we pay leica extra for design and that logo. That’s all. I bought leica one because of that camera is really cute

Thanks but both are just awful quality. These look like photos from an early 00 flip phone with a 2 megapixel camera. Probably the pinhole they call a lens. The Instax Mini 99 is a far better choice and actually has a real lens.
I totally get it. These are pretty small sensors and you can't expect too much from them especially indoors. They're more of a fun experience than a quality cameras
@@DominicPhillip it’s just frustrating because Fuji makes instant cameras, digital cameras, and they make film. What I wish they would do on a hybrid camera is put a good lens on it., a nice 1 inch sensor, a good auto focus system in it and give it the classic film simulations. I would gladly pay $400-$500 for that hybrid instant camera
The Instax Mini 99 is not as capable as the Mini Evo. The Evo works in most lighting conditions, the 99 gives up in anything but decent light. Try taking a picture of a sunset with the 99 and you'll just get a completely black picture, with the Evo you'll get a perfect picture. You're moaning about the sensor size but that's not the point, the Evo is only required to produce mini size prints and for that the sensor does a decent job. The lens is great, I don't know what you're moaning about, it's an 28mm F2.0 with a shutter speed of up to 1/8000 sec. You obviously don't get the point of the camera, it's not meant for serious photography, it's for those times when you want to capture a moment and have a physical print you can hold and put in an album and for that it doesn't an excellent job. The LCD screen shows you exactly what you print is going to look like and it does. Would I pay big money for a better sensor? No way it's not necessary and until Fuji produce an Evo which produces larger prints the Mini is the best Instax you're going to get.
I really don't get your point at the beginning. It says "designed by Leica", not "engineered by Leica" and the design is drastically different compared to the Fuji
This is the best comparison video of these two cameras, hands down!

Thank you 😊👍🏻🍺
I appreciate you. Thanks for watching, glad it was valuable
Thank you very much for the good and fast comparison/review of these two cameras!!
Thanks for watching. It try to keep it concise
you can buy leans cover for the Fuji Mini Evo. also, my Fuji Min Evo has type C USB charger.
From Fuji or 3rd party? My sock is getting tired. lol
Thank you very much, but I think fuji just upgraded their EVO, I got one 2 days ago and it has usb-type C on it.
Awesome, I hope you enjoy it.
You can get lens covers now for the Evo and I’ve been less worried about the lens now! It stays on pretty well.
Great! Thanks for info
Directly from Fuji? Or 3rd party covers? Thanks for this

very good and well thought out review.

I appreciate you pointing out the dishonesty of other channels. It's important to call sellouts out.
I mean everyone needs to make their money, and this isn’t my sole income. So I have the luxury of saying whatever I want.

What an interesting title!👍
Interesting that it's another rebadge of a Fuji, like the Hasselblad XPAN did with the TX-1.
I think their use of "Designed" instead of the usual "Made" is intentional, they designed the appearance of the camera
Designed my Leica, made by fuji?
You can kind of get away by saying the case was "Designed by Leica Germany," heh.
Everything else is Fuji.
Pretty much. haha Although that Leica emblem is sexy.
Good job on the comparison.
Does leica used same film paper as fuji?
Yes, I believe so, I believe the print module is the exact same.
I own the Sofort 2 and like it. It's a cool instant digital camera to create instant memories.
Was it worth the extra money?
@@DominicPhillip I haven’t touched the Fuji version so I can’t say.
