Brilliant Glen!!!. Now here I go again with my tales of “when I was a boy”🤣🤣. But when I was a boy the lunchbox was one of only a couple of kits I had brand new.. Great memories.. I got it from the model engineers show at Wembley conference hall.. I had it proudly sat on my lap on the bus and train home!!!!!
Glenn it's Signal Hill. I have my original '80s Lunchie right here, there was no typo. Are you using some old MCI decals by mistake? My all-time favourite Tamiya vehicle!
Lunchbox/Midnight Pumpkin....the most FUN RC car ever! Simple kit which needs nothing more than bearings, it's a joy to build and ludicrously hilarious to drive. Has to be one of the RC cars everybody must own at some point.
I added oil dampers to mine, including the 5th shock. Running a brushless 10.5t on the Tamiya ESC. Had to flip the wheelie bar around or it spends all it's time on it's bumper. Also added LEDs to the light buckets. It's a huge hit among my more modern basher friends. Of all the cars I own, I think it's the most fun. Such a timeless model.
Oh yeah the LUNCHBOX 👍 always love simple FUN, the door outline try using a "wash" instead of tape, i.e. use some dark grey water based paint like acrylic and thin with lots of water, then dab a paint brush into the groove, this will allow the paint to run along and give a much better effect, you don't want it too dark just enough to show there is supposedly and opening there.
Lovely that. Bought my mates lunchbox off him for £20 and a mars bar about 1990. Still owe him £10. Still have it and restored it back to all its glory just before the re-re came out. Going to have to get a new one now. 👌🏻
I sure like your attention to the details. I'm just about to build one and haven't done rc for several years. I decided on the Tamiya Lunchbox because my father drove a van while contracting and thought it would be a good throwback. I didn't realize until watching this just how nice this kit can be. When I was younger my friends and I bashed our cars pretty hard. This one will be treated like a queen. Thanks sir!
I recently got hold of the Gold-edition. It’s a childhood dream come true really, when my twelve-year old self drooled over the Tamiya product presentation commercial VCR-tape and the product box high above on the shelf in the toy store, so close yet so far away. I’ve been having so much fun running it with my kids and it’s such a blast. Never lose connection with your inner kid, people!
Always fun to watch someone so passionate about the hobby. My buddy had a Lunchbox and I had a Falcon. The transmissions didn't much like the 7 cell nicads and Trinity Nuclear Assault 12 turn motors we stuck in them. Good times. And yes...that body looks much, much better without the tape around the doors.
It looks great! The lunchbox BEAUTY! Man I remember the brush on paints in those jars also remember how they smelled remember the funky smell they had to them.
Yeah definitely looks better without the line tape on the door, it looked too bold, Am I mistaken in thinking Tamiya do a sort of runny paint for detailing shut lines?
Great to see you do a Luncbox again Glenn. Just always brings a smile to my face! Definitely the right choices with the colour and the line tape. Looking forward to seeing if the wheel decals work well - I think it will finish it off a treat👍
I need to put a lunchbox on my build list! The comments you asked for go like this; the wing vent windows in the side doors only the vertical should be painted and they were chrome irl so maybe grey or silver flake, the windshield surround is a black rubber gasket so that’s legit, the line around the roof seam is a rain gutter formed during the body weld and it would be the same paint as the body panels but if you were a sneaky snake you dry brush some copper, burnt orange and brown in tiny flecks on that edge to indicate rust from mineral deposits at the rain gutters. The side marker lights were amber and had a Diamond pattern on the interior face so flake paint might be worth considering imho if not them maybe candy orange over silver flake. What a fun body with tons of room for mods. I might build a Cheech and Chong Lowrider one or I’ve been wanting to do a candy patterned body and this is all hips and curves plenty of canvas. Fun vlog thank you!
Colour is great. Love the Lunchbox...love it love it love it! Glad you removed the doorlines. Oh, and did I mention that I absolutely love the Lunchbox..? 😜🥴🤣
Always a pleasure to watch a Lunchbox build, especially on your channel 🙂 . To be honest, I liked the line tape. In my opinion it looks more detailed. By the way, the yellow is awsome. Great choice
Wow, I'd forgotten just how good the Tamiya Lunchbox looks!! I definitely like the yellow paint that you've used, looks fantastic, and that line tape around the roof makes a real difference, I think it looks ace. I think you're right about the doors though, maybe try thinner line tape and see what it looks like, you can always take it off if it looks crap. Great video as always :)
Love to see a Lunchbox build. I'm restoring my original 1987 Lunchy and originally I painted it fluorescent red so it didn't matter but now doing the original back to box art I've always had the hardest time when comparing the plastic wheels colour and the body paint. I have TS16 but when you mentioned TS47 it made me think it may be a closer match when I repaint the shell, otherwise I will have to paint the wheels too. I wont be running it much as its my original so if the wheels are painted it will be fine. Luckily I have 2 other lunchbox that are not standard or box art that I can drive around so its not a problem. Thanks for sharing the build and for your other videos. You have a good channel going here.
I have done the exact same thing with old servos on the shelf queens. Great little reuse for old dead ones! I agree it looks better with the door jams not lined out. Great video bud...you are the content King! Thanks so much for keeping us entertained. Lunchbox is a must have Tamiya imo.
absolutely brilliant build ive just got my old one out now its had a new battery regreased the gears a good clean up is not as good as yours though any brillian job keep up he good work
Nice build, like the colour too. I agree about the door tape…..I think as you say its too thick and dark and sticks out like a sore thumb….thinner and lighter would work or a wash as someone else has suggested. Good work as always though 🥰
Agree that yellow is money - I might have to copy and even hit the wheels with it as well. Lunchbox forever! Kyosho Mad Van is super fun though now too.
The definition of a Tamiya legend. My wife bought me one over 10 years ago but I've never had the heart to run it outside and risk scratching the body. Such a great looking scale model, Tamiya at their finest. Agree the tape didn't look quite right. Possibly now the longest production run, along with Wild Willy 2?
Well, my plans from 4 months ago changed slightly... lol My youngest liked the Neo Fighter buggy, so she got that and we built it together for her birthday. Fun buggy and a pretty sdecent first Tamiya kit. Since, we've picked up some TT-02 kits, 1 is built awaiting body work. We also picked up a M-05 kit at the request of my 12 year old daughter, it's built and awaiting body work and a handcrafted "hippy van" interior she is working on... A black Lunch Box amd a Metallic edition midnight pumpkin have arrived, the Lunchbox will be the "runner" of these two. Chassis is built with a Sport Tuned and now I have ANOTHER body to work on.... There's more coming also.... how deep does this rabbit hole go?!? Cheers!
Hi Glenn, I think you’re right about the door lining, it was too think, which is why you were two minds. The Lunchbox looks great, the lining around the top is right, just breaks some of that chrome yellow. Definitely some light detailing, door handle and lock details in order, add some depth. Also move the rear decal down too, make it more symmetrical. Perhaps some LED’s front and rear? It is such a classic look. 😊😉😊
Problem with linetape, is that its usually too in your face, being a black tape. It needs to be a bit more subtle, in order to look good, espessially on bright colors, like white or yellows etc. Could be quite easily done with tamiya panel liner, but thats getting into modelling side of the hobby quite strongly, as you'd have to do all the varnish etc tricks to deal with that. All in all, I think the van looks great with just the yellow and stickers! A bit miffed to see it with bushings, BUT, as it is a static display, I do understand. ;D Look forward to seeing it do a couple of laps at your local spot :D And a fun watch, as always :D
I've used chrome yellow on my lunch box when It was first re-release and over the years I've always told people to use chrome yellow for exactly the same reason you give the actual yellow tamiya recommend is to yellow! The lunchbox is just a good cheap build and is so iconic!
Nice job as allways . You can get Hawkins decals now from stranger things I believe they used the same vans in the movie series. I prefer the yellow 🇬🇧🇬🇧👍
I was wanting to add a brushless motor to my lunchbox nothing super fast just make it a wheelie king. With the speed controller that will run brush or brushless do you have to have a sensor wire brushless motor to use that speed controller that comes with the lunchbox? I made it switch to brushless on the speed controller but it will not work with the brushless motor I am using.I love your videos thank you
Lunchbox I think is my favorite Tamiya of all time, definitely my favorite monster truck they have done.. just such a fun truck to run and waste a few hours having fun with 🙂.. Try getting some of the weather paint that people use for doing the fine panel lines on airplane kits, it's hard to find in Canada mate so if you want some I'll send you some as a Christmas present 👍.. Your's looks amazing make, paint job is top notch! As you know I am looking to collect one of every Tamiya Monster truck they did.. Just another excuse to buy yet another lunchbox I think 😂
Tamiya has panels liner for model kits, I would get one that is not that dark so the lines are not so strong. You are going to make me buy a lunch box with this video haha! My wife already told me to stop buying rc cars… but, the lunchbox is to cool to not own!!
LOL at "Dignal Hill"; I actually had a friend in college who was from Signal Hill. I respect that you stuck with the original typo with the original decal sheet reprint. 👍
A really fun video and a damn good laugh!!😆👍👍. The van itself is as gorgeous as always and i never get board looking at one. Everything about it works perfectly and to be honest, i thought the door outline looked fine, but i guess it looks different in person. Anyhoo, another brilliant video!!!😃👌👍
Love the look That TS-47 looks to match the wheels better through camera at least. Painted mine in the green and blue theme from the side of the box used TS-20 and TS-54 & also masked that top rim off and painted it with silver adds a nice bit of detail to the body
Ahhh the doorline tape. Would have definitely tried, then realized the detail level was enough. Totally concur on that. Always wanna try for more, sometimes doesn't work, does it?
Hi Glen, great build, have really been enjoying your channel. I'm in Canada as well, do you happen to know of any lipos that will fit the lunchbox? Having a terrible time finding anything currently. Cheers
The black lines on the roof should be chrome silver as well as the door handles. Also the inicator lights need painting. I really like the yellow, great job!
I might use the line tape on my mystery machine lunchbox,it gave the box a cartoon sort of look that might go well with the scooby doo theme I got, thanks Glenn.
I like the tape around the top but not the doors. I always do one coat of Tamiya smoke tiny on all my chrome. Gives it a more realistic look. Less toy like. Great color btw
Love it! Thanks for the build and the paint! Was thinking of using that paint for a project I have coming up and you’ve confirmed the choice I’m going to make.
My second car❤️...my memory was sticking matches on the wheelie bar and putting turps on the pavement then wheeling through it.....so cool when your twelve 😂😂😂
Excellent match for the classic LB. The kit is a wonderful blank canvas that you can add as much detail as your skill is capable of. As other have said, I used panal line ink on mine. Tip: On light colours use gray instead of black. Easy to use and not as bold as tape. For tire decals I got some from a guy in Slovakia off ebay. They are a two step type that don't leave the glossy clear base around the letters. Probably not as durable as standard decals but look much better for semi shelf queens.
So I just crashed my midnight pumpkin 🎃 pretty hard (was Halloween yesterday) the rear axle popped out of the two side columns and I noticed that both of those tiny screw in springs snapped in two. I have seen a brace offered to reduce chassis slap. Basically I wonder does anyone know if there is a way I can omit the two small springs on the side because they have already shown to be rather worthless and fragile. I would like to avoid buying more to get the truck moving. Any ideas would be super appreciated 🙏
Very nice lunchbox , prefer the chrome yellow ts paint as well. I think it’s a case of less is more with the mine tape it looks better without the tape . Good stuff
Always wanted one as a kid in the 80s but me dad had to keep the pub in the profit and all his girlfriends,so bought one about 4 yr ago built it drove it had my fun loved everything about it felt like kid again,it’s in the loft now in the box collecting dust
Great vid. Looks wise the Lunchbox is one of the best looking Tamiya's definitely in my top 10 l would say! So iconic! Performance is its strength too! Iol yes its true! We all know its true!! 🤣That terrible, unpredictable driving style but also such a fun performance just adds to its armoury! Nice job Glenn looks spot on my friend 🤩👍
I can't decide, Lunchbox or Midnight Pumpkin...so... I will likely have both very soon... my start to some Tamiya collection finally! I am also getting a Neo Fighter buggy..... my intent is to keep the Lunchbox pretty stock, just for a fun occasional run tooling around the yard... so will probably use the stock motor, shocks , etc... The Pumpkin will see more use, and will likely eventually get the Ampro front end parts , and some stuff for the rear end as well as oil shocks... it will probably get a bit more spirited brushed motor as well....and maybe a lexan runner body to preserve the original shell... The buggy will get the Hobbywing speed control from the Lunchbkx kit, and a peppy brushed setup, as it will be seeing some track time...that one will be built first, as it may even be used in a race coming up the end end May.... the Hank Perry 240, which has been around since 1987, and I believe is the longest running annual offroad RC race in the states... along with the Neo Fighter, I hope to be running the mains with a Kyosho Ultima...which originally came out at 1087 worlds, so is nice and fitting...if need be, I have a B4.2 FT associated that might be on hand for the weekend...I haven't built a modern AE 2wd buggy up yet... I also noticed some places just got more Blitzer Beetle kits, so soon hope to add one of those....and that will almost round out the Tamiya wish list....just have to add a couple TT01/TT02 cars after that.... Is there any specific Tamiya that you think would be must adds to that list? For some reason I'm not super interested in the Grasshopper/Hornet type chassis, or the Clod or Blackfoot ....and with the Blitzer we may skip the Monster Beetle in favor of a different Monster truck truck an Arrma 3s or something for more extreme bashing ... We have been into racing, but would like to add some RCs that are just for fun... Any tips on the Tamiyas mentioned above to help our builds, or opinions on what to add to those 4 offroad kits, would be most welcomed.... cheers!
That line tape was way too thick I agree. Tell you what I have always though might be a good idea yet I haven't tried it yet.....use a sharp pencil to creat the shadow in the panels.
Yes buddy you were right on both points.. the door tape simply didn't looks right.. and the final rear back door sticker was in my opinion a little too high.. but the finished result looks absolutely mint..,👍🇬🇧😎
Just a small painting tip. It is better to use a dark wash over clear coat when it comes to panel lines. Excess can easily be wiped of once dry with some isopropanol alcohol.
Loving the lunch box👍 and it might be the camera but I think the wheels could do with a paint to colour match the body and tyre decals like on the black foot in the background of the shot. Great work Glenn
I painted mine in the same TS47 from watching your previous video on this and LOVE the look of it. I agree the pre-painted ones are too bright. I really prefer the slightly darker yellow of the Chrome Yellow.
Looks great, simplicity is the key with the lunchbox. I wonder what the pearl clear would look like over that yellow. Real cars don't have black lines around the doors, just shadows. Line tape is just too sharp for me. I bet you don't put a super modified in this one and flip it first run out.
Really enjoyed that build! Maybe if the line tape was a light grey and thinner it would look more authentic and less obvious? I also think you should build a Tamiya legends lunchbox in white with the logo on the side panels 👍👍
I agree the line tape on the door didn't look that great. I had to re-paint my Lunchbox because i also messed up the lines around the windows and the rear lights, just don't have a steady enough hand for that unfortunately. Since it's ABS plastic, i ended up painting it with Motip Carat Gloss yellow the second time and that really looks good. I'd say its in between the TS-16 and that TS-47 you used. The only other thing i did paint where the orange indicators in the grill, those went well and really pop in there. And believe it or not, i actually managed to misplace one side of the Vanessa's Lunch Box stickers where i placed it too far back. The untrained eye probably won't notice it but you probably know how it is when you've done that yourself, you can't un-see it.. If i where to paint another body for it ( i have a spare ) I'd paint it with that same Motip paint i used and clear coat it after decalling to REALLY make it pop :-)
Good vid mate and that yellow is amazing?? Don’t like the line tape on the doors For the side windows do your mask? Freenhand can be better You also forgot the side markers in orange ;) Plus door handles in silver It’s an AMAZING model - one of my faves
The Lunchbox:Anyone who likes building Tamiya RC's should have at least one LB. I've got 4 of them. Might have told you before, Glen: My son's is stock Vanessa scheme. The other three are Mystery Machine, Rolling Thunder (the real monster truck which the LB was based on apparently!) and a military green Zombie Outbreak Response Team. :D The line tape on the roof gutter works a treat. Perhaps line the door shut line with a pen or go really fine on the line tape.
Brilliant Glen!!!. Now here I go again with my tales of “when I was a boy”🤣🤣. But when I was a boy the lunchbox was one of only a couple of kits I had brand new.. Great memories.. Glenn it's Signal Hill. I have my original '80s Lunchie right here, there was no typo. Are you using some old MCI decals by mistake? My all-time favourite Tamiya vehicle!
I always loved the yellow on the lunchbox great kit the Luncbox.
Yeah it’s a proper Tamiya classic 😍👊🏻
Lunchbox/Midnight Pumpkin....the most FUN RC car ever! Simple kit which needs nothing more than bearings, it's a joy to build and ludicrously hilarious to drive. Has to be one of the RC cars everybody must own at some point.
Well said Stewart 😍👊🏻

So right, just subtle indent lining looks so good. Less is more 🤓👍🏻🤓👍🏻
Thanks Paul 🤩👊🏻
Must be the most fun of all the Tamiya models. Looks great in that yellow. What a machine!
Totally agree Wade 😊👊🏻
Lovely that. Bought my mates lunchbox off him for £20 and a mars bar about 1990. Still owe him £10.
Still have it and restored it back to all its glory just before the re-re came out.
Going to have to get a new one now. 👌🏻
Beautiful colour👌 ...after watching all your videos, there are 87 vehicles in your top 5🤔🤣
🤣🤣🤣
That made me chuckle Peter 😂👊🏻

Defo no to the tape and as others have said, a wash is much more subtle and realistic. Love that yellow though; really ace.
Defo deserves a run 👌

It looks great! The lunchbox BEAUTY! Man I remember the brush on paints in those jars also remember how they smelled remember the funky smell they had to them.
Yeah it’s pretty crazy looking back to when everything was brush painted 🤯👊🏻
Yeah definitely looks better without the line tape on the door, it looked too bold, Am I mistaken in thinking Tamiya do a sort of runny paint for detailing shut lines?
Yeah I believe so, I really should try and get into this detailing side of the Hobby 😅👊🏻
My second ever tamiya was a lunchbox sprayed it in Ford mystic metallic blue used it only on the beach dunes ...A true fun classic😎 👊💪👌🔥🔥🔥
Fantastic my friend 😊😊😊
Great to see you do a Luncbox again Glenn. Just always brings a smile to my face!
Definitely the right choices with the colour and the line tape. Looking forward to seeing if the wheel decals work well - I think it will finish it off a treat👍
Thanks for watching Andy 😊👊🏻
Love your passion
This was first Rc car the mighty lunchbox 😊

So do you like the Lunchbox then?

Always a pleasure to watch a Lunchbox build, especially on your channel 🙂 . To be honest, I liked the line tape. In my opinion it looks more detailed. By the way, the yellow is awsome. Great choice
Great build and a great vid. I agree about the door line. Looks better without. And the yellow just pops. Classic
Fantastic thanks for watching 😊👊🏻
Love the ‘dribble’ my man, that’s why I’m here, lol

My lunchbox arrived today… wanted one since I was 10 and my first RC! Definitely going with the TS 47… LOVE that!
Can you tell me the width and length of the body itself? Thanks!

My first Tamiya RC (painted mine black though), and I have to say, wouldn't mind getting a re-release at some point! Very nicely done!

I agree about the door tape…..I think as you say its too thick and dark and sticks out like a sore thumb….thinner and lighter would work or a wash as someone else has suggested.

I’ve have just bought one of these, the exciting part is putting it together.
Agree that yellow is money - I might have to copy and even hit the wheels with it as well. Lunchbox forever! Kyosho Mad Van is super fun though now too.
Looks great. I used a very fine tip Black Magic marker on my doors. Came out great

I agree the tape dosent look right around the door, looks wicked on top...

Thanks again for the video. It is actually a very nice body. And I like this yellow color.
I think I like it even better without decalls.

I think the cool thing about the Lunch Box is it looks good with or without a lot of details.Tuned out great Glenn.
Totally agree Eric 😊👊🏻
Tamiya has panels liner for model kits, I would get one that is not that dark so the lines are not so strong. You are going to make me buy a lunch box with this video haha! My wife already told me to stop buying rc cars… but, the lunchbox is to cool to not own!!
LOL at "Dignal Hill"; I actually had a friend in college who was from Signal Hill. I respect that you stuck with the original typo with the original decal sheet reprint. 👍
Thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
A really fun video and a damn good laugh!!😆👍👍. The van itself is as gorgeous as always and i never get board looking at one. Everything about it works perfectly and to be honest, i thought the door outline looked fine, but i guess it looks different in person. Anyhoo, another brilliant video!!!😃👌👍
Thanks as always my friend for watching and commenting 🤩👊🏻
Hey Glen, nice work! Did you use a primer by any chance?
I knew you would have a northern UK accent from your picture in the thumbnail!
I wanted this for years as a kid, but never got it.
Love the look That TS-47 looks to match the wheels better through camera at least.
Painted mine in the green and blue theme from the side of the box used TS-20 and TS-54 & also masked that top rim off and painted it with silver adds a nice bit of detail to the body
Oh that sounds very nice 🤩👊🏻
Ahhh the doorline tape. Would have definitely tried, then realized the detail level was enough. Totally concur on that. Always wanna try for more, sometimes doesn't work, does it?
Hi Glen, great build, have really been enjoying your channel. I'm in Canada as well, do you happen to know of any lipos that will fit the lunchbox? Having a terrible time finding anything currently. Cheers
I prefer the more yellow, yellow, reminds me more of the Tamiya Guidebook picture :) A , if not the, classic buggy
Lunchbox never gets old, one of the coolest monster trucks. Agree on the decortape on the doorlines, looks a bit strange.
Excellent thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
Looks awesome that Glenn - soft spot for these - in my top 5 as well -pops in that chrome yellow ❤️
The black lines on the roof should be chrome silver as well as the door handles. Also the inicator lights need painting. I really like the yellow, great job!
Thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
I might use the line tape on my mystery machine lunchbox,it gave the box a cartoon sort of look that might go well with the scooby doo theme I got, thanks Glenn.
I like the tape around the top but not the doors.
I always do one coat of Tamiya smoke tiny on all my chrome.
Gives it a more realistic look.
Less toy like.
Great color btw
Great work again glen, and i agree about the tape on the doors. Can i ask if you put primer on the body first or just put paint on right away.
No I actually just spray straight on buddy 😅👊🏻
Can you tell me how long and wide the body itself is?
Thanks!
Love it! Thanks for the build and the paint! Was thinking of using that paint for a project I have coming up and you’ve confirmed the choice I’m going to make.
Excellent 😊
Thank you for watching my friend 😎👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends Absolutely! Love your passion for Tamiya!
I just bought one of these it was complete! How do you tell if they are the old original ones vs the newer repops?
My second car❤️...my memory was sticking matches on the wheelie bar and putting turps on the pavement then wheeling through it.....so cool when your twelve 😂😂😂
Haha that sounds absolutely epic 😍😍😍
Excellent match for the classic LB. The kit is a wonderful blank canvas that you can add as much detail as your skill is capable of.
As other have said, I used panal line ink on mine. Tip: On light colours use gray instead of black. Easy to use and not as bold as tape. For tire decals I got some from a guy in Slovakia off ebay. They are a two step type that don't leave the glossy clear base around the letters. Probably not as durable as standard decals but look much better for semi shelf queens.
Fantastic thanks for sharing this my friend 😊👊🏻
Great video Glenn I do like the lunchbox 👍
Thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
Awesome! I don’t have a problem with paint being different. My Falcons are all different .
Thanks for watching 👊🏻
So I just crashed my midnight pumpkin 🎃 pretty hard (was Halloween yesterday) the rear axle popped out of the two side columns and I noticed that both of those tiny screw in springs snapped in two. I have seen a brace offered to reduce chassis slap. Basically I wonder does anyone know if there is a way I can omit the two small springs on the side because they have already shown to be rather worthless and fragile. I would like to avoid buying more to get the truck moving. Any ideas would be super appreciated 🙏
Nice job Glen.i think it looks better without the line tape !
Great videos nice build can you get upgraded parts for them I don’t like the suspension
Yeah checkout Ampro Engineering 😎👊🏻
I dig the color. Ordered it for my lunchbox
Love the lunchbox.Glen when are we going to see a collection video must be impressive now 👍😃
Haha I’ve actually made two videos now with part 3 getting made over the Christmas break 😅👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends hope these come out over Christmas holidays.your collection must be good to have 3 videos as always great work in my friend 😃
Very nice lunchbox , prefer the chrome yellow ts paint as well. I think it’s a case of less is more with the mine tape it looks better without the tape . Good stuff
Hi pal im looking at getting one. Are you able to tell from a picture if its the vintage one please
Always wanted one as a kid in the 80s but me dad had to keep the pub in the profit and all his girlfriends,so bought one about 4 yr ago built it drove it had my fun loved everything about it felt like kid again,it’s in the loft now in the box collecting dust
Nice colour that ts-47. I did a monster beetle in it, suited the decals really well 👍
My first RC, 2nd hand Christmas present. RC club in the school sports hall. Happy Days
Excellent and I couldn’t agree more 😊😊😊
@@TAMIYALegends 🤩👍
The yellow is indeed very nice, did you put the plastic bearings in?
Yeah this is totally stock 😅👊🏻
Oh yeah that’s an interesting idea 🤔👊🏻
Excellent thanks Richard 😊👊🏻
I painted mine in the same TS47 from watching your previous video on this and LOVE the look of it. I agree the pre-painted ones are too bright. I really prefer the slightly darker yellow of the Chrome Yellow.
Looks great, simplicity is the key with the lunchbox. I wonder what the pearl clear would look like over that yellow.
Real cars don't have black lines around the doors, just shadows. Line tape is just too sharp for me.
I bet you don't put a super modified in this one and flip it first run out.
Haha yeah I wouldn’t do that again Tony 🤣👊🏻
Does anyone clear coat over the yellow and stickers or not worth it?
G'day mate your finished product awesome but a bit to much the pin stripe around doors paint job immaculate as usual mate 👍
Really enjoyed that build! Maybe if the line tape was a light grey and thinner it would look more authentic and less obvious? I also think you should build a Tamiya legends lunchbox in white with the logo on the side panels 👍👍
Stay tuned my friend, that’s what the giveaway is going to be in December 🥳🥳🥳
Fantastic thanks for watching and commenting my friend 😎👊🏻
Good vid mate and that yellow is amazing??
Don’t like the line tape on the doors
For the side windows do your mask? Freenhand can be better
You also forgot the side markers in orange ;)
Plus door handles in silver
It’s an AMAZING model - one of my faves
Ah you covered it haha
Yeah I’ve actually got to build a giveaway Lunchbox next week, I’m definitely thinking of trying freehand on that one 😅👊🏻
very very beutiful
👍
The Lunchbox:Anyone who likes building Tamiya RC's should have at least one LB. I've got 4 of them. Might have told you before, Glen: My son's is stock Vanessa scheme. The other three are Mystery Machine, Rolling Thunder (the real monster truck which the LB was based on apparently!) and a military green Zombie Outbreak Response Team. :D The line tape on the roof gutter works a treat. Perhaps line the door shut line with a pen or go really fine on the line tape.
Excellent thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
