Love all the upgrades, im planing an epic lunchbox build over the winter. I’ll prob use a new one as opposed to the one i have. Just incase any race state its to be box stock. Except for bearings. Get an 18tooth hornet pinion on more speed 😎
When you’ve put the metal bearings in first just put them in one wheel and keep them plastic one in the other one then do a spin test to see which one spins the longest and you’ll be very surprised at how long the metal bearings spin compared to the plastic ones. Next if you get a BIG WHEEL race going you get a sponsor to give a load of cw-01 chassis bearings for each of the new competitors, metal bearings means faster and longer running times 🦾
All that bling and you don't add the two most important upgrades, oil shocks and a gearbox front brace. The Ampro Engineering one is best as being 3d printed it has some give, and it's cheap but postage from Shape ways is horrendous if you are only buying one item. The alloy body posts are a must, but the rest will just add weight
Great idea… Maybe good for some inspiration… have a look at the following video showing the WHEELIES in fascinating racing action at the first event of the TAMICO Off-Road-Cup 2024… ua-cam.com/video/QuwsRQcIy_g/v-deo.html tamico-offroad-cup.blogspot.com/ Some of the Wheelies were quite modified, others near to box stock… except of the motor… only the TAMIYA “Torque Tuned” is allowed… For me it was my first ever Wheelie Race and it was FANTASTIC Fun…! Since I am a history retro fan I had built up a WILD WILLY… of course 😉… only “tuning” ball bearings and some plastic oil shocks, which I took out of a 1:12 scale buggy… First, I even wanted to use the original friction shocks, because I have read, that they could be OK, also. Well, this was also my very first “contact” with the “infamous” TAMIYA friction shocks…OK, maybe they can be used “somehow” on very smooth astro tracks… maybe…😉🧐😂🤔… I will see, but knowing that we would race the first round of the 2024 season on a very classic clay “real” off-road track, I immediately knew that this would absolutely not work out at all…😂 So, I have “stolen” oil shocks from a cheap 1:12 RTR, and they performed more than enough good… During the race I figured out that the only, but significant disadvantage of the WILD WILLY is its extremely heavy body compared to the light lexan bodies from other model types… 😉🧐… But since for me the WILD WILLY is the MOST original WHEELIE model ever, I am not willing to give it up for the next rounds of the TAMICO cup… However, I already working on, how to make it more “competitive” - of course still within the most important aspect of this class - FUN… Keep on having a great RC FUN time…!!! Great video just built a lunchbox myself. Loving getting into RC cars . Your videos really help me out. Keep it up 😁
Hi, carl. cannot wait to see the racing vid.😀
Nice build! I love the Lunchbox. Although, I'm surprised we didn't see some of the parts from UK Monsters in the mix.
I need to source some
Great video Carl, I was on the fence with regard to blue bling, but I have to say the Fastrax kit for the Lunchbox looks really nice. 👍

I can’t wait to get another one my lunchbox is in storage and I think I’ll just have to buy another one and just use the one I have for spare parts.
I like the Lunch Box. But where are the sandwiches and the apple.
Pimp my Lunch Box, I love the hop ups but they soon add up. I can by a Rovan 1/5th scale for the same price as my hopped up TT02
